I enjoyed listening to you talk about what needles you like and why. How cool is it to have needles that were used by other generations of your family! Cheers from Washington. ❤
I saw Jana of Finnish Knitting stories with a hanging needle thingy so I copied it but was not fond of it's appearance, I hung it in my wool wardrobe. Out of sight. Perfect x
Thank you Tash you are ❤ a star. I have an improvised holder made from a headband that my husband and a friend made on Monday because mine were a nice mess. I need to think how I will make one. Then I have others more expensive that I keep in their original sleeves. My straights are in a square tin a very nice tin. It is long perfect for needles and you just put the lid on and voila. It is cold in Cape Town at night. The South African Cricket Team played Pakistan last night about 23 kilometres from our home and everyone had winter clothing on as well as blankets. Take care Tash ❤😮😊
Thank you for sharing how you store your needles, Rosemary. I hope you are staying warm. Our weather cant figure out what it is doing. 37C one day and 21C the next! xx
That is such a practical solution for the cable needles wow! Love that. I have a leather roll up pouch by i have to roll up my cords and I don't really like having to do that. Thanks for sharing!
I bought a hanging circular needle holder years ago and actually ditched it. I use labelled pencil cases for my non-interchangeable needles, but since discovering chiagoo interchangeables several years ago, I almost always use them. Everything about them is so good. I almost never use by straight needles these days.
Hola, me parece una solución Excelente y por ello compartí el vídeo con mis amigas tejedoras! Muchas gracias por mostrarlo, es Encantador!! 💯😍❤️😘🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯
I have a hanging holder for my circular needles from Della Q which I got years ago. Has both US and mm sizes shown. I attached it to a hanger and it stays on the back of a door. Used a loop of yarn to attach a needle gauge. Been a great investment. But I still often forget to put the needles away as soon as the project is done. 😏
Glad to hear you have found yours helpful as well. It is still one extra step to put the away but at least it is relatively quick to do when we get to it. :)
I have my fixed circulars stored in the same way except that I made 3 columns of slots. One column is for 40-60cm needles, one for 80cm and one for 100cm. That way I can easily select the right length as well as the right size.
It is a good strategy but I found i really wanted the cables to smooth out and they didnt do that as well if i put them back in the packet. That, and i ended up with too many packets...
Thank you so much. For dpns, I like my wood ones as i am usually using them for icord with only a few stitches and I want the slight grippiness of the wood (and the lighter weight compared to metal) so the dpns arent sliding out of the stitches. I am pretty sure the set i have are Knitters Pride. Maybe this link www.knitpro.eu/en/double-pointed-needle-sets
Love this! I have the same in a binder but it's over run now. Where to hang it ? Can't say but I will find a way to. Bravo Tash, good one. Your collection is overwhelming.😊
Thanks Tash, I was more interested in your dpns transparent storage. The dpns looked like they were separated in sections? If so where did you get the plastic storage from or did you jig it up yourself?

Thank you so much. I do love being able to use needles that my mum and grandma used. x
I was gifted a circular needles holder that my best friend made for me. It is a treasure!!! Love all your ideas. ❤
Thanks so much Maryann. What a lovely gift from a friend. X
I like that hanging storage idea. It certainly can hold a lot of needles.
Thanks for posting these storage ideas
Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked the storage ideas.
Oh my goodness! Your hanging needle arrangement made me gasp! Fantastic - love it.
Thank you so much Shona. I am just so happy to have found a strategy i actually use. :)
I like the hanging needle holder. If you sell them on ETSY I’m sure you will get a lot of hits!
Thank you so much. I think pretty much anyone with a sewing machine and some scraps of fabric can make one. :)
Oh my goodness what a lot of needles. Love your needle storage. Have to get the sewing machine out . Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you so much Jan. It is worth the time investment to make it as you save so much time looking for needles. :)
That is a perfect needle holder and I thought I had a lot of needles ha ha 💖❤
Thanks Taci. I think i can pretty confidently say that i have all my needle needs covered now. ;) x

As long as it is easy to access and organised, i dont think it has to be on display. x

Thanks Leanne. I was just so tired of wasting time looking for the right needle amongst a jumble. :)
I use the same system and bought it on Etsy. It is a game changer and takes up no room.
Thanks Jeanine. I am glad to you have found this kind of solution works for you. :)
I particularly love the storage idea as the cables are not curling. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jennifer. That was a real drawcard of this method for me. :)
It’s not about appearance as much as functionality. Great idea!
Thank you so much. Absolutely! I actually use this and find i am rarely wasting time looking for needles.
Thanks for showing your storage. Your home made storage is great and ill be making one soon. 👩🌾🐮🐑
I think you will be pleased with it. :)

I love my Chiagoo set as well. Definitely my best needle purchase ever. :)
The Signatures were an absolute score!!!! Lucky you🎉 their tips are the best! ❤
Thanks! I did feel very fortunate. :)

Even better! You’ve taken this idea next level!! :)
Love this! Currently I’ve been putting the needles back into the packages, but I’m not sure how long that will last.

Thank you!
You are very welcome. :)
Great idea😮I need to buy a set of dpns (suggestions please).I also love the clear round glass containers that you have for bits of wool❤

Thank you so much. The best thing for me is that it is organised. :)
Ok that’s a great idea. I thinking I might have a go
Thank you so much. I think it is really worth the time investment. :)
Thank you, I will definitely make 1 or 2😅
You won’t regret it! It didnt take long to make and it is so helpful. :)
You solution is great. Far better than mine, which is toilet paper tubes and tape.
Whatever works! It is the same principle really. :)
Thanks Tash, I was more interested in your dpns transparent storage. The dpns looked like they were separated in sections? If so where did you get the plastic storage from or did you jig it up yourself?
Hi Jenny. That is the case the needles themselves came in. It works really well and takes up no space so i decided to keep them in there. :)
What an awesome organizer for the knitting circulars. I’m embarrassed you should see what I have mine stored. Ugh 😣.
Mine was terrible for years. A big basket of mess. I havent looked back since i started using this. :)
🙋🏼♀️💕
My cat would have a field day on this!
Mine are safer in the case 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha! I didnt think of that. I guess you could hang it in a cupboard... ;)
🧶🌈❤️
