This was probably my favorite mission in the game, I would like to see a game entirely centered around the vietnam war
Rising Storm 2 could be your choice

It’s the song that makes this mission an absolute joy.

my favourite part is taking off in the chopper.
Dude honestly
Fracture Jaw mission in Black Ops Cold War was set in January 26, 1968, 5 days after Black Ops 1 mission "S.O.G" and 7 days before the mission "The Defector" took place in Black Ops 1
during the tet offensive
That’s weird because those “Hueys” are Venoms, which did not come out until 2008. Hueys did not have four rotor blades, if they did, they would not make that iconic “chop” noise.

Haydaboss not really. Online multiplayer shooters don’t really conflict with single player RPGs.
@@thelonewanderer1114 U should specify thought u were talking bout the whole campaign which def lives up to this and beats it at one point
Hekun I thought the campaign was a letdown. It’s not bad but after MW’s campaign I was hoping Treyarch would step up their game too.
I was mind-fucked about the plot, didnt really expect the twist that Bell was a Perseus agent. I really appreciated Treyarch's story-writing on this one
Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf

Good Morning Vietnam~~~

Great mission. It was badass flying on the chopper with the song playing
Imagine if CoD is like ARMA where you can ride any vehicles, cooperate with other players beat the enemy bots, role play of course, etc.
Play bf
Imagine a COD game souly centered around Vietnam. With CCR, Steppenwolf, Guess Who, The Rolling Stones, and The Doors as the main soundtrack. That would be fucking insane.
Never n lame
I want one that’s taken place during the Korean War
They’d never cough up the money for the rights to use that many songs
Activision: How about for MW2 how about we scrap the whole game and add some Trained British Soldiers and include Mexican Cartel and have a song based on the game for no reason but it makes money for us and for MW3 have the worst campaign and for Black Ops 6 it's $9.99 per mission $1.99 per reload $4.99 per gun $49.99 for Campaign and 59.99 per map pack and skin pack it's only fair right?
One of the best opening scenes in a game

the choppers have 4 blades on the main vertical lift rotors, but the hueys had on 2 during the Vietnam war. With that said, the Bell 412EP helicopters where the first to have 4 main rotor blades which came in production in 1981, so their about 12-14 years ahead of schedule.
yeah this little detail really pissed me off
My grandpa served in veitnam and God he must of heard fortunate son a million times.
This was an amazing cutscene in the campaign but I still prefer the one from the original black ops with Fortunate Son

This mission takes place in January, 1968, but the song heard on the radio, Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf, wasn't released until September of that year. Still a badass soundtrack though.
Glad that it's a different, fitting song and not All Along the Watchtower which has been stereotypically used for anything related to the Vietnam War
i like that the nam flashbacks feature the cobra as much as the huey, the cobra being the apache gunships less heavily armed daddy
Although this UH-1 resembles the UH-1Y Venom it’s its own Huey and it has one of my favorite designs of any other media. I Love this one.
0:18 I don’t know why you gave Bell’s name Alex Mason. That’s just odd and weird especially when you meet Alex at Cuba mission briefing
It makes it seem like Adler is really bad at coming up with fake names

1:55 and here start the cool part of the mission
Honestly this mission always reminds me of the battle of Khe Sanh in B01
It gets even better when you realize there’s no cooldown
Balls
There shoulda been more missions like this… even b01 had so much. But damn this was fun when I played it for the first time
I know this is random but in the multiplayer there should be a barrel attachment to turn the m16 into an automatic gun(it increases recoil, nerfs damage)
I agree brother
I wish the song continued throughout the whole mission
So when I played this mission for the first time it reminded me of a game I played as a kid but I can't remeber the name.. you would literally do the same thing in the helicopter as this mission and it feels so nostalgic watching this and of course playing it as well.. someone has to know the name
IGI probably?
Could be the battlefield Bad Company games
i dont listen to rock music but that so g was a straight up vibe
Makes me wanna go to Vietnam and vibe
This mission just makes me so disappointed on how little "Firebase Z" incorporated the village and the jungle into the actual map.
Here for the beginning sequence with the music...Best scene in this game IMO and I wish we got more Vietnam battle...
This mission probably reminds every call of duty fan of the mission payback in black ops 1
When u do this mission I listen to a Vietnam War song called I was only 19 I like playing war games and listening to war songs
I think the song that plays on the chopper is perfect for the scene
2:05 song name as they take off?
Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf
Finally someone who has the music in the game I FUCKING LOVE ITTTTT😍😍😍😍
When I play this mission the m16 feels like a peashooter
Am I the only one who thought the M16 was burst fire i the campaign? I didn't realise it was full auto until the mission where you go to Cuba.
Early Vietnam M16 was fully-auto.
@@RoyalDog214 Ik but I'm talking about in Cold War bc nearly every video game makes the M16 burst no matter what
The only burst fire M16 in real life is the A4, which didn't exist til the mid-90s. Frankly, the M16 in multiplayer and zombies SHOULD be full auto, but they had to balance the guns so it's not. It's technically an M16A2. Oh well :/

5:39 Huey miniguns just went full Sardaukar mode.
When I played huey piloting section I turned down in game music and turned on 'We gotta get out of this place' by Animals and it fits perfeclty

4 rotors and twin engines in 1960s? I think they need to research it... 🤦♂️ UH-1Y doesn't exist until 2001. Actually helicopter supposed to be UH-1, it got 2 rotors and single engine.

10:27 how the australian army operates
It’s so good but you know it’s not real. It’s all in Bell’s head
the memories are real, they just aren't Bell's memories, Bell is living Adler's memories of Vietnam, they are just slightly altered to make Bell believe them, everything you see Bell doing was done by Adler
Why does that area 7:09 look familiar? Since in black ops 1

I don't think those Iroquois variants were used in the vietnam war, hell I don't even think they exist
Yea those are supposed to be 60's era Iroquois Huey's, which are 2 bladed and have a singular turbine...but idk wtf Treyarch was thinking and gave them 4 blades and a 2 turbine engine 😂
@@turdmanjones59 It’s because that is a UH-1Y Venom. They are the most recent update to the Iroquois and came out in 2008. The devs are so lazy that they are reusing the assets from their other games even though the assets don’t fit in the timeline XD

Omg thank you so much it finally stopped disconnecting
Lol just noticed that the mission starts on my birthday, but like.. ~40 years before I was born

The m60 sounds so good
That moment when a helicopter has an accessory for another helicopter that doesn't exist yet
listened to fortunate son while flying in the heli in the campaign.. was fun as hell shootin the soldiers of the trees
How did they get the ammo count wrong? I thought there is 18 bullets per mag normally back in NAM except for banana mags that came in the 1970s..
I think it was 20 round box mags then 30 round banana mags maybe
the 20 round mags were problematic and failed when loaded over 18
Hey can I use this gameplay I plan to use it for a meme involving fortunate son playing over it?
look up "Da Lat Nuclear Reactor" this mission was inspired by that real life mission
Can you keep the music? I thought it was copyright
What are the jets at the end of the nission?
I noticed that the game uses the UH-1Y Venom helicopter painted to look like a Vietnam-era UH-1D Huey, which is historically inaccurate. In reality, the Americans used the UH-1D Huey in Vietnam, so the 2010 Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 actually uses the correct model.
What is the song in the beginning? Can’t find it anywhere.
