Theorycrafting Smash Bros. Characters Into Fighting Games

- On episode 5 of FGC Hollywood: A Fighting Game Podcast, we brought up the inclusion of Steve from Minecraft to SSBU, and how we rarely see any crossover from Smash Bros. over to traditional fighting games. Therefore, I wanted to try a bit of a fun exercise.

I feel like Captain Falcon would fit much better in Marvel than in Injustice but he could definitely fit in both
Yeah, the video is way a miss potential and while the knowledge of Smash characters is notable, there's so many comments about how many resemblance of some fighting games could they be able to comment and even on some of more obscure series such as Bloody Roar with characters like DK or King K. Rool being easy answers and characters like Corrin like more interesting answers. Or Darkstalkers where many Pokemon and Ridley to say some characters could be making a appearance, Pokemon is a special case due already seeing the characters on the Tekken-esque spin-off type game in Pokken. Let alone other games like Under Night In-birth where Robin, Byleth or for more modern asthetics Shulk could make a very interesting case.

Yeah, he seems like a natural fit for a traditional fighting game. Unlike Ken. I don't see Ken ever working outside of smash.

I can see Palutena being a hybrid of Izayoi, Nine the Phantom, and Kokonoe/Arakune when it comes to her gameplay in Blazblue
I love the fact that even FGC noted Captain Falcon's gun to be used in his moveset even before Nintendo lmao. (Context: Falcon has never ever used his gun in his basic moveset).
Lol I did not know that. Seems to have some potential there if he were to crossover into any other fighting game.

I think Snake fits better on Mortal Kombat:
- Many characters now use gadgets and guns
- Terminator and Rambo are there, Snake Plissken would fit perfectly with them and so would Solid Snake
And Captain Falcon seems like he would fit Capcom vs Tatsunoko more IMO
bro, the red on Sonic and Megaman hurt me xd. You need a special podcast or other video for the red ones with the help of Pringle, it's a fun topic like the other theorycrafting videos. I'm waiting one for the Bleach cast.
I do want to do a Bleach one eventually!
As long as they're in a game that has mechanics that make them a cohesive whole, something the newer smash games have failed to do, that's fine by me.

Byleth would make a really cool fighter in gbfv. They could fight with a whip similar to ferry, but perhaps could call in the house leaders as assists like lowain.
I kinda just want gbfv but fire emblem. It was my first thought after seeing the game in action. The art style and methodical gameplay just seems so perfect for the fe games.
Yeah, I really tried not having more than more character per franchise if I could help it, unless visually they looked completely different. But even though I only picked 16, I find that there is so much untapped potential for Smash characters if they were to crossover.
I wish to have a Nintendo Versus game in a not Smash-Like style.
That would be really cool.
