- Welcome back!
This video is to show and explain how 35s in a smaller size may help you achieve the tire you want to run.
Truck is a 2018 Toyota Tacoma sr5. I have other videos explaining the lift, armor, etc. Check them out!
These are Kenda Klever r/t 35 10.50 17. Lift height is around 2.5” front and rear. Cmc was done as well as pinchweld (see video on that)

I have 35x12.5r17 on my 3rd gen and honestly they look too wide for a tiny truck. These 10.5 gonna be a plus as soon as I wear down these after this winter for sure. 👍 Thanks for sharing
Those tires actually look amazing! Definitely might try these out when I lift the Tacoma
I say go for it! They fit very nice. I’m impressed with them already. I can’t wait to get out and wheel with them!
I love the look of a tall skinny tire. I have a 19 sport. 6 speed. The gearing is already too high for my liking, so I don’t really want to get any bigger tires unless I regear. I’m thinking 33s max, and skinnier than whatever tire is stock which I have now.
Sweet !! Good looking truck. might just have to go this route.
Jonathan Martinez thank you! Go for it!
Any updates on how you like the tires and how they're performing?
These tires were great. I ended up selling to a buddy who put another 40-50k on them.
@@TacomaDad awesome
Great content! Sub’ed! I seen the walk around video and saw you have Icon shocks in the rear but is there any lift?
🙏 Thank you!
There is actually a block in the back from when I had a spacer lift. I am still indecisive on my leaf pack. I have an add a leaf but want to swap the whole leaf pack. That will come soon!
Old man emu Dakar leaf packs👌🏼 best in the biz
did they clear the front bumper in stock form without the cuts?
I am not sure. I’ve have my bumper cut for a while before I went to 35s.
I have 2wd 2.7 I would to have tires like this butt 33’s I’m wondering if my little motor can handle them
Skinny 35s aren’t too bad! Give them a try and worst case, just sell them. They get just about the same price as you paid for them.
I love skinnies. Im running 255/85r16 (33") KM3s and love em. Did you regear?
Nice!
Not regeared yet but it’s next on the list. Doing front locker at the same time so I have a few extra pennies to save 😂
Have a 2000 4runner. Want 35s but don't want to re-gear. Maybe just stick to the 33s. Share your thoughts. Also how are they in the mud? Rocks?
I would definitely say stay on 33s just because it’s so much easier on the rig. 35s, even these are enough to need a regear. I just choose not to until sas
Hey do u think I can fit 35 on 3 inch lift spacer on taco 3nd gen? But with stock wheel??
What is your caster? I’m at +4 and looking to mount these today.
Mine is as far forward as I could with the stock uppers. Which isn’t much. I don’t have the paper anymore from the alignment though.
Tacoma Dad It’s all good. What pressure do you like to run on the street with these tires?
Myron Hensel I found for me the street psi is best around 32-34. Rides good and the chalk test showed it was good too
Tacoma Dad Thank you, I thought that might be a good pressure. By the way, my wheels look like they sit similarly to yours with these tires I just got on. I unfortunately rub in the upper control arm(after market All Pro at near full lock. I’m thinking about putting a 1.25” wheel spacer to clear it but I don’t want to touch the fenders up high and create a new problem. Maybe a .75” spacer? Anyway at full tuck about how much room would you say is there between the tire and inside of fender? Sorry for all the questions.
Did you do a regear
I did not. I didn’t have an issue and even when I went to 37s.
Did you say they would fit on a stock Tacoma?
Noo, a slightly lifted one, yes. I was just running a 6112 and block in the rear (stock leafs).
@@TacomaDad that’s perfect news! Beautiful truck fantastic! God bless and be safe,
Really considering these! What’s the offset and backspacing on your wheels?
I am not 100% sure on the wheels. I had got them used a while ago. They are close to the same as my old stock ones though. One day I’ll look at the wheel and see what it says
@@TacomaDad Did you find out what brand the wheels are? I'd like to figure out some specs on it. Thanks in advance.
The wheels are MB352 but I have not looked at the specs yet. I’ll crawl under it tonight and take a look
@@TacomaDad Did you happen to find the offset on these wheels yet? Looks like they're available in a few different offsets from the manufacturer. If not, maybe you can tell me how much space you have between the tire and spindle/upper control arm. Thanks in advance. Getting my Kenda Klevers within a few days.
I finally took a look. They are -13 offset.
Are you using the stock upper control arms?
Yes I am. Very soon they will be swapped though
Tacoma Dad Seems like you may be fine without them maybe. What do you think? Have you stuffed your front and rear wheels completely and there is no rub?
Myron Hensel I have stuffed the tires quite a few times with no issues. I’d stay with stock ones, only problem is you cannot get a perfect alignment. It doesn’t bother me and I can’t notice any weird tire wear. I’m going larger (tires) soon and I’ll need them at that point
Tacoma Dad Wow what tire size are you going with next? Do you mean same diameter just wider?
No gonna jump to 37 12.50s.
What about your spare tire?
I’m planning on making a carrier for it in the bed. Definitely won’t fit under!
Tacoma Dad Do you think it would fit under there if it was deflated?
Myron Hensel I don’t think so. MAYBE with some hammering you could squeeze it in there. Without air it measures 34 1/4ish to edge of sidewalls. I know some put a 33 under there but have to hammer things and it is a tight fit
@@TacomaDad Victory 4x4 fit a 35 under there somehow, I'm sure they hammered it a lot.
That could be!
What is the actual size of the tire?
Actually tape measure reads 34 3/4” to the outside lugs on 35psi. About 10 3/8” wide.
Do you still need regear?
I’m still on stock gearing. I am planning on sas so I’m not going to regear until that’s all wrapped up.
Did you weigh them? I can’t find the weight of them anywhere
I did not. I’ll get to it one of these days.
they will fit stock
Anything size will fit if you have a big enough hammer I suppose!
What info on rims
-13 offset 17x9. They are MB wheels. (Discontinued)
What’s the size of the rim ?
17x9
