I agree, Johnny - giving the player prompts so quickly gets a bit grating after a while and detracts from the storyline. It would be nice if this could be toggled off, or if an alternative thing like an icon popped up on the screen after a set time and you could opt to click on it for a visual hint.
Johnny, if you read this -- first, love you, and thank you for playing these narrative-heavy games I don't have access to. Second, can you encode these at a higher bitrate? Some of the more action-packed scenes are basically pixel salad...
Work has been unfathomably busy (including travelling to the actual other end of the country for a company retreat -- yes that's what we're calling some hiking and a lot of drinking), so this is a wonderful double feature for me today. It says a lot that one of the first mods for this game on PC just deletes the dialogue of companion characters because everyone hates the handholding and patronizing puzzle solving.
i love watching johnny play these games but i have to be doing something else at the same time otherwise i notice all the collectables missed and my brain doesn't like it. i totally understand why getting them all isn't feasible in a playthrough that isn't a million chapters long, keep up the good work
Freya went from an interesting character in the last one to a thoroughly unlikable one in thsi game, all she does is moan and complain and argue, every single interaction.... She acts like she's had the worst life out of everyone even though most of her problems are consequences of her actions, on NG+ I rush past this bit every time til Atreus joins back again, he also does nothing but moan abd complain but at least he's actually helpful in combat
@@whom_hath_released_the_hounds yeah but all she does is moan at you throughout the entire game, after this part of the game she just moans about war then moans about a plan and then moans about your intention, even during side content she's always being sarcastic and snippy, if you go through the entire game you'll be hard pressed to find one moment where she isn't complaining in some way to someone.... She moans at Mimir acting as if it's his fault she married Odin, did he force her? No.... She plays the victim card 24/7, the idea of her being the Valkyrie Queen as well is a joke because she's so weak both as a boss and as an ally, if the trilogy wasn't rushed and cut short then she could have had more development and had a proper arc of forgiveness and becoming her warrior self again
I just love Kratos and Freya's relationship in this game so much. I feel like it is so underrated and no one really talks about it.

Excellent job on nidhog. I remember being stuck there for a while. Pretty sure I had to do that fight at least 4 times before I beat it.
