Statistically yes, most comedians suffer with depression. There's a lot of research to suggest that being intelligent and creative enough to be a successful comedian often comes with darkness and mood disorders, which can then be exacerbated further with addiction issues to drugs or alcohol. It's also suggested that they are using humor to try and hide the pain from even themselves, like maybe life won't suck so much if they're laughing at it.

It is still more common for creative people to suffer mood disorders but sadness is not always involved. Just because it's more common does not mean I'm referring to everyone or even most people.
Andy is very open on twitter about suffering from depression. Never heard anything about Conan, I guess he is fine.
It wouldn’t surprise me. If you’ve ever seen Conan give a serious talk in real life, his energy levels are so much different from what he has on stage.
