I'm amazed that Joey doesn't miss a lot more than he does because I notice that his eyes are always focused on the object ball and he never seems to check his tip to cue ball position before he shoots . I guess he gets aligned while he is getting down for the shot and he manages to stay lined up throughout his stroke. I wish I could do that . I always need to check back once before I pull the trigger . Hats off to Joey .
was the scratch on the 8 ball by jimmie a loss or a concession as the next 2 shots were easy? most rules say scratch on 8 [ when it is not pocketed] is not a loss. [ but ball in hand ] your thoughts... Vince
I'm a little late with this , but in case you have not yet looked this up , APA rule is that any shot on the 8 ball that results in a scratch is a loss of game . Doesn't matter whether the 8 ball is pocketed or not . Scratch means cueball pocketed or driven off the table . Fouling the cueball with your stick or hand does NOT result in loss of game , but IS ball in hand for the opponent . Can be confusing for non APA players , but that's what happened here .
Yeah , that used to be the rule up until a few years ago . They relaxed that rule along with the rule about what you could use to mark the pocket for the 8 ball . Lots of things were forbidden before that are now acceptable. You or your coach still may not make a mark ON the cloth for aiming purposes , but placing something on the rail , but off the cushion , is now legal . Probably an attempt to make coaching lower skill level players easier and faster . APA is always trying to make time outs quicker .This was an effective move in that direction .

Joey is stroking, smooth and playing smart, looking like he’s on the edge of being a 6
Joey the wizzard is magic
Thanks for no background music.

Joey has to shorten his back swing he’s hitting everything way too hard. Missed some easy run outs. I’d smoke that bum EZ PZ
