@@maximad5997 Light != good and you can't cleanse psychological torture by shoving a bunch of light into a guy. He might've already been turned, which maybe why he was in Tirigarde Sound instead of Zuldazar.
Baine brings out the best in everyone, and truly cares for the people around him. Even during War Crimes he felt tremendously guilty for having defend Garrosh.
I can see it going that way very likely, besides how else did sylvanas plan to get him to jaina? Oh you just walk up to stormwind and say "Hi jaina I'm alive accept me back into your life" it would be pretty suspicious. Maybe sylvanas wanted this to happen she may have even saw it coming and our good man Derek with his trusty blade on his back has the complete trust of the alliance leadership and once he cuts somebody Jaina will renew in her anger especially towards Baine.
I mean they made the camera angle focus on Derek's back with a weapon at 1:18 which kinda made it obvious where the story direction is going... not to mention Jaina was a raid boss in horde raid (she might die in this expansion like rastakhan) and Varmathras quote in legion was pretty much foreshadowing. "So, your Alliance still endures. Longer than I expected, though she has already planted the seeds of its downfall. She is patient, that one. When your thrones run red with betrayal... when your holy places burn and the shattered mask hangs above your hearth... only then you will know. And it will be too late. It matters not. You are blind to the true darkness closing in around you." it all buildup to this.
@Abdullah Bushlaibi Baine would never. He doesn't want this. He doesn't want the war or the bloodshed. He would be destroyed if he inadvertantly delivered a ticking bomb to Kul Tiras. It would kill him inside. Maybe that's what Sylvanas wants. Baine is the last outspoken good still left in the Horde. I hope he stays that way.
I think so, too. Why should Derek be on that ship and not longer in the chamber of Dazar'Alor if Sylvanas still did not break his will? He is a living bomb and he perhaps even doesn't know.
The nature of a walking barbeque might like this, but shouldn't we the forsaken then also be allowed to be true to our nature? Or is it just the pacifist BBQ that gets to?
There is NO WAY Sylvanas would allow a pawn like Derek to escape. He is corrupted and now Baine just delivered the pawn to the chess board. Guess who is gonna get blamed when Derek snaps and does Sylvanas's bidding? Ol' Baine is about to look reeeeeeaaaaaaalllllyyyy bad!
Mezmer5 yes, but if you chose Sylvanas instead Saurfang and tell her Blaine’s plan she asks us to do everything he says. Also Nathanos said that Derek would be held in Zuldazar until he gets infested, but Baine steals him already in Tiragarde Sound. And yes, there was no other way to get a suddenly resurrected brother to Jaina then by marking a betrayer in the Horde. So yes Sylvanas is angry that Baine betrayed her but I’m sure not that he sent Derek to the Alliance
@Bergr B Jaina will not be killed because she is an important character to this expansion, not because she is that smart mage. Personally i think Derek will assassinate Catherine who would like to see her ressurected son, because Catherine is not the main hero of this expansion and she is useless as Rastakhan. Rasta was needed to make Talanji queen, Catherine - to make Jaina lord-admiral. They both have done what they had to, now they can go
Derek might not be able to go to Catherine but who says Catherine will have the same cunning when hearing about Derek’s return? We might just see Catherine throw all rationality aside and rush to Derek’s side without anyone else knowing and thus the plot thickens.
I looked at that, and saw Jayna and undead-style ship I honestly thought there will be some skeletons, they dispatch them effordleasly to realise they are not hostile... And then the voice... Why is it that in all the cinematics the boats are only crewed by like what looks like 2 or 3 people Does it not require quite a few people to operate a ship?

Which is weird, itn' it? Like that used to be most of the horde left over from Warcraft 3. And MOST of the horde from WoW were just outcasts who needed to band together...with the exception of the undead, who were EVIL outcasts who needed protection.
Thrall may no longer be Warchief but I have always upheld the ideals he had for the Horde. Vol'jin was no Orc but I respected him as Warchief because he proved himself time and again in keeping the Horde's honor intact despite everything he's gone through. I hope that one day the Horde will find itself on the right path again before Sylvanas irreversibly tears it apart. Saurfang may not want the mantle of Warchief but spirits know we need him now more than ever. "Honor, no matter how dire the battle. Never forsake it. ~ Varok Saurfang"
@@Husker_XIII Horde does not need Saurfang as warchief. This fool values his own honor before lives of his men. He does not have guts to do what's necessary.
After unlocking the Zandalari i can say they value honor a whole lot more than anything else, they fit well with the horde more than any other allied race and hopefully we can start to get a NEW horde, one that is more on its values of old of honor.
While I am an avid and 100% dedicated Alliance player who wouldn't roll Horde even when under the pain of death, I will always fully and wholeheartedly admire and respect the Tauren of Kalimdor. Look at it from this prospective Cataclysm gave more love to the Horde than it did the Alliance as did WoD Legion and BoA are just balancing the scales so Alliance players can feel a bit of love towards their faction.
@@1musamune I'm pretty sure the horde wasn't heroes in either of those expansions. Sure thrall was but not the horde.it was kinda a" but we're helping" sorta situation.
@@1musamune Balancing how much content each faction gets is obviously fine. My issue is how they wrote the story. They needed a reason to justify yet another profitable faction conflict expansion and that's hard to justify when we came so close together with the order halls. They chose to sacrifice everything the horde stood for since Warcraft 3 almost 2 decades ago.. The majority of the horde, including the player character, is now evil for encouraging and continuing to follow Sylvanas. All the racists like Daelin and Garithos have now been proven right and were justified in their hatred. It would have turned out so much better if they made the alliance strike first for once. They've always been too passive in lore, which is one of the main reasons people find the Alliance extremely boring.
jaina is so beautiful in this cinematic. so much emotions in her... and perhaps this will be my first tattoo: I am still your brother for as long as stars do shine
Baine, Vol'Jin and Saurfang are the last characters who still give me hope that the horde might find its way back to where it was in Classic, honorable people who just want to live in peace. Accepting Sylvanas into the horde was the biggest mistake Thrall ever made.
It's just sad that accepting the forsaken makes no sense, they just did it for the sake of creating WoW. Can't see why Thrall would accept them, giving how they are, unless he didn't know anything? And kicking them out is too much of an inconvenience for the players
@@Teato0o Thrall did accept the Forsaken for several reasons. He trusted the Judgment of the Earthen ring who were the first to acknowledge the Forsaken. He knew what it was like to be a slave and he could sympathize with the Forsaken once being slaves to the Scourge. The Horde needed more troops and Undercity provided a stronghold in the region of Eastern Kingdoms.
Well it’s not like the alliance welcomed the forsaken, in fact in the wc3 campaign they faced a lot of xenophobia. They knew that they needed to become part of a larger identity (aka the horde) if they were going to survive. The horde accepts them where the alliance never did. Keep in mind that most undead are nothing like sylvanas. She’s very jaded and struggles with bad PTSD. I feel like since she’s become the war chief she is once again she is put in the position of protector of her people. I feel the fear she has of failing her people again is pushing her to go to any lengths to make sure that she comes out on top this time. So I see her actions as in line with her personality it’s just sad to see how her trauma has turned her into this
The Alliance has been trying to wipe out the Tauren for years now, and now you expect all of them to come over and act like all of that never happened?
Deep. Maybe this is how Blizzard can reach the players in a symbolic way if we look at it like this: Baine = Blizzard. Jaina = players. Derek = BFA. Horde = WoW. Sylvanas = Activision. . Blizz : Players.. Long has it been since we spoke peacefully in Vanilla. Players : Vanilla is gone. You did not ask me here to reminisce. Blizz : No. I have come to return one who is lost. (BFA 8.1.5 walked in) . Blizz : WoW has a sickness in it. We waged war while the gameplay dies. We have forgotten what truly matters. And my heart can bear it no longer. Players : Activision will kill you for this. And she may not stop with you. Blizz : No game is worth playing if we cannot be true to our nature.
So-uh why is it that the important undead characters like Derek and Nathanos still look fine whereas the ones we have to play as look god awful? There was a story explaining why Nathanos didn't but this guy is freshly risen yet lacks protruding bones and those annoying fleshless joints that we have to use. It's almost as if they know they know they look terrible and don't want to use it for their characters but make us use it for our undead...
Dave L I assume it is because he was under the ocean, he may decay further, but seeing as he was under the ocean the process of decay is much slower, and we don’t actually know how deep he was so it isn’t like animals would have gone so deep as to eat his corpse.
Nathanos actually underwent a special ritual by order of Sylvanas to look the way he does. There's a short story going through the process on the main website.
what REALLY gets me is the fact they have bits and pieces of what I do believe is either mulgore or Thunder bluff/totem music sprinkled in here and there.
I don’t like the horde, but I have always liked and respected both Baine and Saurfang! One of them should be leading the horde, not that walking corpse. Sylvanas died the moment she was resurrected by Arthas.
anyone else continuing to see parallels between Baine and Anduin? theyve always had a connection yea but they way they both release members of the opposite faction for the greater good relating to sylvanas, and Baines line "We wage war while the Earth Mother dies" and Anduins "I used to think we were fighting for peace, but now we're just... fighting" there are good bois out there
Exactly, even trough I think its hitting here limitations of English language, Bane thinks about what he thinks in his mind vs decisions of Horde so his nature is his mind, on other hand Paarthurnax means by nature is his kinda inborn temptation and he is fighting it with his mind. At least that's what I take from it.
Jaina's old beliefs in hope for the Horde is coming back to slap her in the face. I always felt that while her pain and trauma is understandable and even reasonable, her throwing away her empathy was not. Giving that up meant she was like the very thing she hated in the Horde. Baine never did anything to deserve Jaina's anger but she didn't care simply because he was "not Alliance." Derek really threw everything she once believed back her by saying "Yes." How the Tides really have turned.
"She may not stop with you." Given recent events of the 8.2 campaign this line only has me even more worried. What might have been dismissed as merely Zelling has become some *very* concerning foreshadowing.
Honestly, Baine should have just run up to Jaina while she was getting angry and hugged her tightly, swatting that dangerous magic ball away! Then she'd remember their friendship!!

Honestly, i feel like thats Activisons fault, my old man and i came to the same conclusion the other night on the phone, activision have always been a pretty mediocre publisher and now theyre just drawing blizzard in on their forceful consumerism, not including WoW, blizzard have published and half-assed more stuff under AV than when they were their own label, granted, they had a habit of sitting on their laurels in the days before AV, but they produced far, far better content.
Im calling BS, they put that dagger on Derek's back for us to stare at.
I think the same. Its there in the cinematic for a reason. My guess is that he's gonna kill Katherine. Yet another heart shattering betrayal incoming for Jaina
This, but is Jaina so vapid to not still expect a trap of some sort and use it against them, if it indeed is?

I can see it going that way very likely, besides how else did sylvanas plan to get him to jaina? Oh you just walk up to stormwind and say "Hi jaina I'm alive accept me back into your life" it would be pretty suspicious. Maybe sylvanas wanted this to happen she may have even saw it coming and our good man Derek with his trusty blade on his back has the complete trust of the alliance leadership and once he cuts somebody Jaina will renew in her anger especially towards Baine.

not to mention Jaina was a raid boss in horde raid (she might die in this expansion like rastakhan) and Varmathras quote in legion was pretty much foreshadowing.
"So, your Alliance still endures. Longer than I expected, though she has already planted the seeds of its downfall. She is patient, that one.

Sylvanas look very angry when Derek leave for freedomland
Mezmer5 yes, but if you chose Sylvanas instead Saurfang and tell her Blaine’s plan she asks us to do everything he says. Also Nathanos said that Derek would be held in Zuldazar until he gets infested, but Baine steals him already in Tiragarde Sound. And yes, there was no other way to get a suddenly resurrected brother to Jaina then by marking a betrayer in the Horde. So yes Sylvanas is angry that Baine betrayed her but I’m sure not that he sent Derek to the Alliance
@Bergr B because she found traitors. Every leader will be upset if he knows that some of his servants is not loyal to him
@Bergr B Jaina will not be killed because she is an important character to this expansion, not because she is that smart mage.
We might just see Catherine throw all rationality aside and rush to Derek’s side without anyone else knowing and thus the plot thickens.

this one kinda broke my heart, especially after you read the novels like the shattering . this feels like losing a true hero as you know sylvanis is going to kill him or torture him. the horde are left in a very messed up situation. . .do they stick to their warchief and follow their leader. . . .or break away and stick to their honor and heritage as "the horde" . . .now this is comming from an Ally main and all i can say is , even as an ally, you HAVE to respect saurfang and baine. . . the horde had MANY heroes that you just cant help but love and respect. . .baine being one. Hopefully things turn out in a brighter direction before its too late.
- ZRGames agreed. Baine dropping that Native American wisdom was just........beautiful. You’ve done good Baine, you’ve done good.
The storytelling in WoW was always good but in BFA it's next level. The cinematics have gotten so much better than in the first few expansions.
Why is it that in all the cinematics the boats are only crewed by like what looks like 2 or 3 people
Does it not require quite a few people to operate a ship?
They hide from the cameras (?
This is a world with magic, dragons and mailboxes that constantly break the laws of physics. Surely one can come up with a rationale for massive boats not to need large crews :)
Even though we all know it's to keep the rendering times manageable lol
jainia can fly and fire the goddamn cannons at the same time, doubt a crew can do that!
Or as we have seen. Just jaina. Managing a ship as well as making magic canons and such

I absolutely love Baine, thank you Jamieson Price for making such a great character feel so real.
While I am an avid and 100% dedicated Alliance player who wouldn't roll Horde even when under the pain of death, I will always fully and wholeheartedly admire and respect the Tauren of Kalimdor.
They are the heart of the otherwise savage Horde. And Baine is the physical embodiment of that heart.
So. As an Alliance player: Baine for Warchief!
"We have forgot what truly matters, and my heart can bare it no longer" I know this game has gone far off the path of what we used to know, but it's still for some of us a game that we grew up playing and loving, I may not be on as often as I used to be but I will never stop playing this game until it's gone completely...
It's because we feel genuine loyalty to characters in it. Alliance characters practically RAISED Anduin.

Vol'who? Isn't that a ded troll?
@@mackparker9064 Hes the hordes new Loa!

Deep. Maybe this is how Blizzard can reach the players in a symbolic way if we look at it like this:
Baine = Blizzard.
Jaina = players.
Derek = BFA.
Horde = WoW.
Sylvanas = Activision.
.
Blizz : Players.. Long has it been since we spoke peacefully in Vanilla.
Players : Vanilla is gone. You did not ask me here to reminisce.
Blizz : No. I have come to return one who is lost.
(BFA 8.1.5 walked in)
.
Holy Bleeping Cake.
The art team/story/voice/music/cinematics is the only thing that keeps me hooked through BfA. The goosebumpiness in this is cosmic
@@FlorentiusIV I did mention that
what REALLY gets me is the fact they have bits and pieces of what I do believe is either mulgore or Thunder bluff/totem music sprinkled in here and there.

ironghost1982. So true. And her time is coming...
anyone else continuing to see parallels between Baine and Anduin? theyve always had a connection yea but they way they both release members of the opposite faction for the greater good relating to sylvanas, and Baines line "We wage war while the Earth Mother dies" and Anduins "I used to think we were fighting for peace, but now we're just... fighting" there are good bois out there
0:55 OMG! The sound player to Jaina terrified me and excited me, I loved him so much
“No life is worth living if we cannot be true to our nature.” Paarthurnax would disagree
"She may not stop with you."
Given recent events of the 8.2 campaign this line only has me even more worried. What might have been dismissed as merely Zelling has become some *very* concerning foreshadowing.
Their cinematics look so amazing these days... they just keep getting better and better
Honestly, Baine should have just run up to Jaina while she was getting angry and hugged her tightly, swatting that dangerous magic ball away! Then she'd remember their friendship!!
