Man, it's obvious effort is being given to move the story along, but we jumped off the rails like three expacs ago. If this story wanted to be told, should have probably stayed consistent from beginning.
The real Sylvanas wasn't evil all along and did nothing wrong. The evil Sylvanas was evil simply because she was evil and her deeds doesn't really matter anymore. (Character development since WC3 thrown in the bin). Now we are all friends and fight together against the big bad Jailor, who is evil for abstract and incomprehensible reasons that no one cares about. Thrilling story.
Thats the issue with Blizzard storytelling the past few years. Most of their original ideas were genuinely good and intriguing. But the execution and resolutions had been abysmal.
Say what you will about the story direction but no one can deny that both Uther and Sylvanas’ voice acting is top notch here. The way Sylvanas says “But her crimes are unforgivable” gives me chills. Such an important line in the cinematic and the voice acting elevates it to another level.
The video itself was good, great work from the art department. The story though... from purely ingame perspective, how were we supposed to know about this inner struggle? Is it explained in the books?
Can't believe they actually went with this story. All of her character development since Wrath has been poured down the drain and now they either have to start over or abandon the character and focus on other stuff.

No, what it meant is that Ranger General and Banshee sides will never get along meaning she wouldn't wake up and help others get to Jailer. That's why he returned her soul to her, but Uther was able to mend the sides and wake her up

Some weird Blender model vibes with this video. Its like they took their in-game models and subdivided to smooth it out. Also the hair has the physics of ropes lol.
Her old WC3 model has blank eyes, but not really blue. WC3 reforged and Heroes of the storm has her with glowing blue eyes. WoW for some reason changed it to normal human eyes.
Blood elves originally had glowing blue irises because of the use of arcane magic. Night elves are the ones with completely glowing eyes (without visible iris or pupil).
Even if you're not happy with the state of the current game or story, you have to admit the visuals in this video were outstanding to watch. Good job to the team who worked on the visuals and animations on this video.

Her old WC3 model has blank eyes, but not really blue. WC3 reforged and Heroes of the storm has her with glowing blue eyes. WoW for some reason changed it to normal human eyes.
