As a Celtics fan, I don’t know why the Sixers don’t just put their eggs in Maxey’s basket. Unreal offensive talent that can go the distance if you build around him. Adding another ring chasing star that needs the ball and won’t defend doesn’t help him.

I didn't like her point only because of her using Tobias Harris as an example. Tobias is not mentally tough we have seen too many different team iterations with him on it to not know by now that it's him and not the "team mindset" or his "3rd scorer role"

DeMar DeRozan is clearly the best player available in free agency. Whoever ends up with Paul George will regret it. Whoever gets Klay better get him as a bench player because that's the player he is now.
There’s a possibility that Klay without Steph’s gravity and at this point in his career isn’t going to make much of a difference at all.
Demar is super underrated imo but his inability to space to the floor and play any type of defense is definitely worrisome... Age 35, u don't want to be paying him 40 mill a year at this point in his career
Klay scored 18 on 39% from 3, hardly a back up. PG is light years a better defender and shooter than Derozan

This is what I don't like, Monica McNutt is someone who covers the Knicks and is someone who admittedly wants PG on the Knicks, so to drop the who gets the basketball after Embiid question if PG go to Philly feel very strategic and trying to a get a narrative out there, I don't like that because the very same argument can be made about the Knicks with Brunson, Randle and O.G who already said he wants a bigger role offensively, the same thing with Legs point about the "pressure in Philly", like there no pressure playing in the Garden, smh, but they won't bring this up because it doesn't fit the PG to N.Y narrative that was not only STARTED by ESPN and is being PUSHED by ESPN, only to be echoed by UA-camrs and people on other networks, the heads on ESPN know the players hear everything so they drop seeds to at least nudge a player in a direction they want.

Honestly, I feel like Philly should just make minor moves. Maybe just go for another quality starter and focus on resigning the guys you already have. Alex Caruso would have been an obvious option until he was traded
Hierarchy should be Embiid, Maxey, and then whoever they bring in after. Even if they get LBJ that hierarchy should not change. Maxey has earned his spot as the #2 at this current point in time.

Paul George, who is very old for basketball, could elevate the Sixers by joining them and taking up the rest of their salary cap space and then getting injured and missing important parts of the season and possibly the playoffs

I actually think Paul George is a great fit in Philly. Beyond it just stylistically working with I'm being a great defender and offensive player that doesn't need the ball in his hands constantly, I think the chip on his shoulder is similar to that of Philly. Philly is a team that can't get out of the second round. Paul George is still struggling with allegations that he chokes in the playoffs. It would be a good place for him to band together with other great players that have faced similar criticism and it wouldn't feel like ring chasing. Philly and Paul George need each other. Sure he could go play with LeBron or Steph and try and win but to be with others that haven't won a ring and be able to somehow pull it off would be special.
