Thanks for watching this video on Nintendo Gamecube Price trends! If you're new to the Gamecube I have a buyers guide ua-cam.com/video/80Kq5jZX2wE/v-deo.html Also I have a second channel where I post a weekly podcast! Check it out if you're interested.
I bought all my Gamecube games back in 2016. I didn't spend more than $20 for any individual title and I'm talking about the good ones (Mario Kart, Twin Snakes, etc). At the time no one gave a crap about the Gamecube.
Same here. I actually bought for the system when you could still find used games at Gamestop. I paid 20 each for Eternal Darkness and Twin Snakes when my friend was selling games. Paid $35 for chibi-robo. Funny how demand comes out of nowhere.
@@SuperNicktendoI blame resellers looking for new markets. If there’s a core group of fans that play a console they’re going to find a way to exploit it.
if you didn't pre-order it in a specific time you either missed it or it's delayed. And some stores maybe got 1 or 2 copies. I was able to get it from gamestop, but it still says waiting allotment and I ordered again from Best Buy but it won't be here until next week. So be patient. They'll make some more.
@@SuperNicktendo honestly i care less about they game i was simply wondering what got the scalpers attention other than it was $40. Otherwise good vid as always.
What happened in September 2021? I keep hearing covid drove the prices up but according to Price Charting's data prices didn't get crazy for most games during 2020 not until September 2021. What did I miss in that month? Lol I have most GameCube games that I want, have most of the first party stuff so I'm pretty much done with GC collecting for the moment. I've been moving onto PS3 lately and based on prices for them it kinda seems like a lot of people have begun that journey too. Always hard to stay ahead of those things lol
Given the massive market correction that happened with collectibles in general, post pandemic, I'm actually surprised video games have pretty much maintained their value overall. Damnit.... 🤦😂 Good and bad I guess. The ones I do have are keeping their value....
video games are one of those collectibles that don't really lose value since most people who buy them don't buy as an investment. You can play these games and they'll almost always be worth more than when you bought them. Unlike baseball cards or comics.
Here some titles that you missed,Animaniacs, tube slider, digimon rumbler arena 2,lost kindoms 2 and zatchbell mamodo fury, all this games are expensive too, nice video
Thanks! I try to sprinkle a wide range of games into the video. One day it would be cool to do like 5 videos with 100 games each. but it's already a nightmare to do 31 lol
My GameCube collecting has been pretty stagnant for a long while cause of the high prices. Yeah its great news that most games seem to have leveled out but for the most part those ranges still a re abit out of my budget. But once in a while I do find great titles for reasonable prices like stumbling onto a $20 complete resident evil 0. My advice would be when it comes to GameCube is to sinoly for now avoid the games that people give the most attention to ot are highly desirable and youll be saving plenty of money then
yeah I think that's what people can handle. It really stunk trying to save for a game only to see it constantly get more and more expensive. I bought Jones in the Fast Lane for PC when you couldn't find them anywhere. Now they've dropped significantly in price. FOMO got to me
Hi, sorry to bother you. Do you think the price of second hand gamecubes will continue to rise or fall. I'm thinking of buying one but not sure if now is the right time 🤔
I got my gamecube games right before the price hike, I got the extra 600 for unemployment just in case something happen at my job, so I bought the pokemon games for about 70 each and paper mario thousand year door for 45, I even got the pokemon xd gamecube console for 14 and posted it on Facebook saying if it was worth more than the regular gamecubes and everyone laughed at me saying they worth about the same as the original gamecubes, but my creme of the crop is getting kolona door to Phantomile for 3 doors at a yardsale
@@Turner_D_Century you're right I don't. Jokes aside I've played the majority of them and love them. I just like Mario 64 and sunshines design of exploration and solving problems to get the star, and the fludd gives me so many movement options in sunshine I love it

I like to know whats so special about metroid prime remastered? The scalpers are having a field day with it.
they didnt make enough to meet demand and shipping is delayed in stores and online

I recently found an in box copy of Melee for $45 at a comic shop. No manual, but that's still a very sweet deal.
Love this series! Amazing work, thanks for posting these!
Glad you like them!
I wonder if people buying Chibi Robo actually want to play it, or if they're just big fans of Scott the Woz
I bought it when it was $35 and honestly don't see why people like it so much. I can do chores already lol.

Always!
How about doing a video on the prices of Dreamcast games?
I keep thinking that I JUST made one and it's been 3 years. I'll put it in the pipeline to come out sooner than later.
I can handle stable prices, since at least i can plan with them

I have f Zero Gx without the manual. Is 70 a fair listing price? Appreciate any advice

This is probably a good time to buy. Pandemic prices have come down but I don't think things are going to drop much lower than this.
@@SuperNicktendo Alright! Thank you 🎮🧊
If I had a dollar for each time i see these videos thinking these prices would actually fall id be rich by 4 dollars

I'm so relieved that the GameCube is one of my least favorite systems. These games are not worth those prices, imho.
“Even the worse Mario game is still a good game”.*
*exception: Mario: Sunshine
Mario Sunshine is fun and I'll die on that hill. 😜
Mario sunshine is my fav Mario game
@@thiefamongu3857 it’s clear. You don’t like Mario games.
