I dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
Daniel Meyer We like making tons of smoke. Hence the aussie burnout. Did you notice after the Roadkill chaps went to Straya they started doing rolling burnouts more often? :P Instead of the stationary american ones...
It always amazes me just because the smoke is black and you can see it people think its so much more polluting and bad to the environment than other high powered vehicles on drag races.. Did people ever go to school? like, chemistry class? anyone? You really think on your average 800hp gasoline car the exhaust is for pure looks? There's stuff coming out them pipes aswell, toxic stuff.. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean its less harmful..
am i the only one that thought how fun it would be to lay down in the bed of one of those trucks with your feet on the inside of the tailgate when they launched?
@cali gdp No arguement when it comes to a torqueshft, right up there with the allison. Unless you rebuild or get an NV, a cummins will outlast their horrible auto trans many times over. The Aisin isn't horrible but it still isn't an Allison or Torqueshift.
Wow one ram cummins is allowed a free ride to the start and one wins because of rain. The 6.0 would've whooped his ass. And also you should make every truck make a pass not just roll the beams
this is diesel power challenge if you dont follow it or know what it is you wont really know whats going on. these are some of the most power diesel pick ups in the country.
What happened at 3:30? Holder is in the white truck in the near lane and Gleason is in the black truck in the far lane. Holder's time was shorter (11:32) but you claimed Gleason won with an 11:48... What happened?
Gregers cilvēks Did I say anything about polution? I just want to see 750+hp electric trucks pulling shit and drag racing and such, cause I think electric engines are cool with their instant torque.
Error Creator The good thing about a turbo diesel hybrid is the torque provides a lot to the alternator recharging the batteries faster. Its weird how there are not better turbo diesel hybrid trucks since that's an ideal application. Only issue I can see is the electric motor components not being durable enough, but the electric motor would be simpler than a turbo diesel.
Malthe Stollesen I think you comment on the black exaust fumes coming out of these trucks right?Thats unburned carbon thats why its black.CO2 is transparent like the air we breath.
Malthe Stollesen lol yeah its not good, but the EPA deemed a long time ago that motorsports of all kinds were not really the problem. They put the numbers to it and determined that if they required all racing leagues to conform to emissions laws, it would make zero impact on the pollution issue. And diesels that are tuned properly only soot like that until they're up on full boost.
All of the black smoke is pure carbon which is a bi-product of unburned fuel, the carbon is heavier than regular air, so when it cools off after coming out of a 1400* combustion chamber, it just sinks down to the ground
I don't understand one of the drags. At 3:54, the guy on the left ran a faster time but lost to the guy on the right with a higher speed. Is time and speed irrelevant and its just who doesn't fault and crosses the line first?
Yes, but them VW's are completely unacceptable! But these are fine. That is not diesel smoke coming from those smoke stacks, it's pure freedom! 'Murica!
jochenstacker Cummins just got a recall for emissions equipment as well. If an automaker is scamming people, they’ll get called out on it. The Cummins recall isn’t really a scam though, the emissions equipment just wore out because it was built poorly.
Carl Mcdonald very hard to make this much power with out smoke. also alot of these trucks are tuned for more dense air. less air and same amount of fuel = smoke
Why do you always have to cover one part of every challenge with bad camera angles. Not complaining I love that you are willing to show all the event but at 7:15 there was a lot of room for improvement, anyway keep up the good work!
What the hell was wrong with the camera ? So much horizontal lines interference on truck grills, and flickering red color on those green number boards at the end of the strip ! Even in 1080p ! Was this shot witch a cheap smartphone or what ?
You can push 600+ out of todays diesels reliably. These trucks are mostly between 800-1200. Going to eventually grenade, much like you will fry pistons in a proline big block or 1500hp LSx. These trucks aren't dailys at this point, just 1/4 and sled pull so its not different than breaking you drag car. You have to pay to play. But With all the added compression of a diesel engine and 60+psi from the turbo you are more likely to rip a block apart and dick the whole motor.
***** It's a fucking quarter-mile drag race. The amount of fuel used is inconsequential when compared to the amount of fuel used just starting up a couple of airplanes...
And to add to your comment, if so many complain, then why are they watching? Don't be a bunch of haters. If it's not for you, go watch a prius video or whatever. I'm not into imports at all, but even I have respect for the guy that puts his time into his craft, regardless of his choices on make.
Why do most of these guys keep the rake from the factory? I think it looks terrible regardless if it serves a purpose. I do realize that but I think at least leveling the front with the rear looks better than the rake or a useless huge lift
Just an FYI, "rolling coal" aka: blowing a shit ton of black smoke is actually detrimental to performance. They are running too rich which makes burn characteristics worse inside the cylinder.
WOWSY So, when you are making the AF ratio so rich that you have unburnt fuel going through the cylinder and into the turbo, you are telling me it isnt worse off? Also, there is a video from the owner of Banks who talks about Diesel characteristics where he even proves that burning "clean" is better for the engine and performance.
don't you think if it hurt performance these guys with 20+ grand under the hood would get them dialed in to run clean? no because it doesn't matter, they feed lots of fuel and as much air as possible, unburnt fuel comes out as smoke, like stated above it helps spool turbos, never seen a high hp diesel run clean...

Does this guy ever stop talking? "lots a words to make this exciting and narrating things obvious to everyone just cause i like my own voice..." This is how you can make drying paint a thing....
The way they have this setup is silly, why can't you just have each truck make 3 runs, pick thier best time, and use those times to find the winner. Trying to tree with these big turbos needing spooling adds way to much to get a clean run. You have people trying to get thier snail spooled melting thier converter while buddy in the next lane can just lolly gag until you break.
Dear Motor Trend Channel i love the 2015 Diesel Power Challenge but for net year plz use this years vid for intros and outros as getting the shots (intros and outros) before seeing the vid sucks... Thats my 2 wait inflation 5 cents worth
Moose Only it’s the build. He could’ve gotten more power in different ways, just chose to go nitrous, and what’s wrong with it anyway? They all could’ve used it
Happy to see the 6.0's holdn together!
Surprised 😮
Biuld em and they hold , and they will keep up with the big $$ new ones.
Too bad they were rushed and epa ruined the fun 6.0 and 6.4 built are undefeated
Those Ford Powerstrokes are good looking trucks!
Best overall truck ever made
I should mail a DVD of this to Greenpeace. They'll love it
Yeah, let's get them to lobby for even more regulations. That would be great.
I dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account??
I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
@Miller Declan instablaster :)
does 6.0s are killin it 👍🏽
The 1/4 mile drag race video is 13:20 long.... See what they did there
Z Jones what is the implication?
***** oohhh duh, had me racking my brain trying to figure out what you were trying to say. lol Guess it was too obvious for me to see.
Z Jones Illuminati confirmed.
@@JonAlycia there is 1320 feet in a 1/4 mile
Video length of 13:20..............
Lol
Sprotdude17 Its actually 13:19 :)
***** yes it is, on my screen is says 13:19!!
+Liam M (Morgo19) but before uploaded to youtube it was 13:18
+1320
Aussie Here (shouldn't have looked at other comments). LOVING this series MT! Keep em comin!
TroY GrahaM You guys just love anything with tons of smoke haha
Daniel Meyer We like making tons of smoke. Hence the aussie burnout. Did you notice after the Roadkill chaps went to Straya they started doing rolling burnouts more often? :P Instead of the stationary american ones...
TroY GrahaM haha.. After they drove gups clubby and rode in Elvis ay! Haha
Damo Mehlich Oh yeah.
Hate those fuckin rims and tires on that white ram
Lucciano Chord ikr so douchey
They look cool
Petta Everdeen You're a special kind of stupid, aren't you?
arien wilkins fucking autocorrect
Some one drives a ford focus I can smell it 😀 those rims look hella sweet on the dodge
2:53 that guy got smoked, literally!
It always amazes me just because the smoke is black and you can see it people think its so much more polluting and bad to the environment than other high powered vehicles on drag races.. Did people ever go to school? like, chemistry class? anyone?

Dang!!!! These truck are faster than my 2014 Mustang GT and I have a tune and mild
bolt-ons !!! That's fucking incredible!!! Respect!!!
6.0 is the best sounding, fastest engine in my opinion it's just sick, sadly you gotta bulletproof it most of the times
6.0 it’s always the best
I'd kill to see that race between Warren and Miller
4 years later. jesses truck has the highest 6.0 hp on a chassis dyno at 1910hp. and lavons truck is a killer
I love how there are no chevys ✔
NovaKing_ there’s a gmc
@@Bustybook and it got absolutely smoked
People always bad talk the 6.0 But it can still hang with the best of them
Look at that parallel parking skills at @1:08
Duramax fails every year...
Dodge truck with transmission issues? Not suprised (not a truck guy)
What? No Dodge truck in this video had transmission issues. What video did you watch? 😅
The Manic Listen at 1:08.
Ahh thanks bud!
Lol
love these dieltruck challenges :P the noise of these turbos is beautifull :P
am i the only one that thought how fun it would be to lay down in the bed of one of those trucks with your feet on the inside of the tailgate when they launched?
how easy is it to make power out of these trucks? it looks impressive but i have nothing to base it off of.
plaga del a stock 6.7 Ford makes 900 ft lbs of torque and 440 horsepower. A simple tune will help quite a bit too.
Never been this early on a motortrend video before.
Those 6.0ls geez i know the cummins boys are pissed
They're quite impressive once you dump some money into them.
FORD_RAM_CHEVY, I want VT365 (6.0L to win)
@cali gdp Definitely believable, just on the rare side of 6.0's. There's a reason so many people bullet proof them.
@cali gdp No arguement when it comes to a torqueshft, right up there with the allison. Unless you rebuild or get an NV, a cummins will outlast their horrible auto trans many times over. The Aisin isn't horrible but it still isn't an Allison or Torqueshift.

ford tough !
I'm seriously considering my first diesel, I would like too know if diesel maintenence is expensive?
I know this is 5 years later...
But its not to bad if you do it yourself
All that build up for the last race and then it gets called off. Lame. Good racing up for until the blue balls.
EXTREME SCALE PERFORMANCE RC ..
For real
For every run, 10 polar bear families died .. Rip
***** Correct.
***** this is the funniest thing i've seen all day
***** not these ones.
Ben Mckenney Obviously not, but I'd like you to point me to a 1000hp gas engine that doesn't pollute just as much as these trucks.
Someone pulled over for speeding on the road at 3:05
Why do they smoke so much? In Germany every 2nd car runs on diesel and they're quitr clean
Sahnepower1 haben keine rus filter
Sahnepower1 They're tuned to run like that. The stock engine/tune wouldn't produce nearly as much smoke.
Sahnepower1 They blow smoke when they run rich.
duckhouse21 Nein , hat es einen Filter . Es ist, wie sie dran sind.
They run ridiculous amounts of fuel through those engines, so unless you can find a big enough turbo to match the amount of fuel, they are gonna smoke
2:52 Lavonne smoked the crap out of the guy between the lanes lol
2015 Sausage Power Challenge!
11.65 at 122 is very good by any standards, extremely good in a pickup truck
11.04 and 131 mph! I wonder how LMP1 diesels will run?
this is diesel power challenge if you dont follow it or know what it is you wont really know whats going on. these are some of the most power diesel pick ups in the country.
Ironic that this video is 13:20, 1320 feet is a 1/4 mile.
Josh Lewis That's not ironic
Wish I knew when this was, I'm like right next to Bandamire. Would have been fun to go watch.
What happened at 3:30? Holder is in the white truck in the near lane and Gleason is in the black truck in the far lane. Holder's time was shorter (11:32) but you claimed Gleason won with an 11:48... What happened?
Is there any sort of advantage to using big rims and low profile tires on these trucks aside from unsprung weight?
Yossah yeah I don’t understand that at all. I would lower the truck, put some lightweight wheels and some real radials or something
2:50 RIP
2016 electric powered challenge, come on, electric engines got instant torque and you can really make some cool stuff with them.
Gregers cilvēks Did I say anything about polution? I just want to see 750+hp electric trucks pulling shit and drag racing and such, cause I think electric engines are cool with their instant torque.
Error Creator i try local made chevy with diesel and electric motor. 350hp in diesel and 150 in electric motor. Thats cool. No need to charging
Gregers cilvēks diesel and electric hybrids are also cool, make some insane torques.

At 2:50 those guys just get covered in coal lol
so much co2
Malthe Stollesen I think you comment on the black exaust fumes coming out of these trucks right?Thats unburned carbon thats why its black.CO2 is transparent like the air we breath.
Hartsock Thomson the black smoke is actually unburned fuel.
okay, still doesn't look good for the eco system :)
Malthe Stollesen lol yeah its not good, but the EPA deemed a long time ago that motorsports of all kinds were not really the problem. COOL ¼ Mile Drag Race- Day 4 of 2015 Diesel Power Challenge!
Will someone please teach these guys how to pre-stage
Jerry Eyebrows and Warrens run was awesome!
I figure they so tight if jerry lost the brows altogether he would have won.
Don't most tracks allow people to not use a cage if their vehicle is fairly new (i forget the year)
Win on a rain delay because of qualifying position? That's a crap way to run a heads-up drag contest.
All that power and they cant even use it or they will break stuff, whats the point
Yes, but them VW's are completely unacceptable! But these are fine. That is not diesel smoke coming from those smoke stacks, it's pure freedom! 'Murica!
You realize these are built for the track right? They would never pass an emissions test.
jochenstacker Cummins just got a recall for emissions equipment as well. If an automaker is scamming people, they’ll get called out on it. The Cummins recall isn’t really a scam though, the emissions equipment just wore out because it was built poorly.
You know whats the best way to not miss "the action"? Put the damn links in the description of the other days!
Why do they roll coal if there looking to make power?
Carl Mcdonald my question too
Carl Mcdonald very hard to make this much power with out smoke. also alot of these trucks are tuned for more dense air. less air and same amount of fuel = smoke
Trennon Bishop You realise that there is a thing called a airmass sensor and lambda sensor and together those regulate airfuel ratio .....
Dyno a truck at sea level then in denver with a 1500hp truck you will lose atleast 150hp because the air is thinner
Trennon Bishop Yes but if it is sny good it won't smoke that much.
Why do you always have to cover one part of every challenge with bad camera angles. Not complaining I love that you are willing to show all the event but at 7:15 there was a lot of room for improvement, anyway keep up the good work!

I like the ford trucks the best but the others are nice too if you want to break down
Cummins
Ya the last run the Cummins guy was just scared he would lose
cory needs a small turbo, and smaller injectors for his build in my eyes
whats the point of all that power is you destroy ur engine in one run?
You can push 600+ out of todays diesels reliably. These trucks are mostly between 800-1200. Going to eventually grenade, much like you will fry pistons in a proline big block or 1500hp LSx. Winner by default. Go figure.
Why are there so many idiots here who are complaining about "pollution"? Newsflash; ANY big diesel engine is going to chuck out soot like that.

I guess thailand is still in the lead in terms of dragging diesel trucks
Why do most of these guys keep the rake from the factory? I think it looks terrible regardless if it serves a purpose. I do realize that but I think at least leveling the front with the rear looks better than the rake or a useless huge lift
Good lord that is about the fastest 6.0 I've ever seen.
Warren and that damn nitrous
Most the guys sprayed in drag racing.
Cummins, period. How many different diesels has Ford used to try to compete with the Cummins?
im lookin fer ah chevy silveraydo
Where is the 150mph run???
Jaran Holder 151.53, but 'only' 11.32. 6th place.
Still. That's crazy speed for a truck in a 1/4 mile, especially for slow start. I'd have loved to see it.
Love this show
Yall should do it in cali no rain there
8:20 white truck jumped the tree, boo
Anyone add up the total power from all the trucks?
Since when is nitrous allowed?
at 8:20 the rams light went green first?
Anyone else notice the honda cub ez90? those are pretty rare
Just an FYI, "rolling coal" aka: blowing a shit ton of black smoke is actually detrimental to performance. They are running too rich which makes burn characteristics worse inside the cylinder.
in most cases yes but these are high performance machines so you will get smoke with these types of builds

Also, there is a video from the owner of Banks who talks about Diesel characteristics where he even proves that burning "clean" is better for the engine and performance.
+DeFreshS10 fuel is being used to help move cfms to spool up turbos and helps keep egts down

5:18 that a ford?
They should all be required to make full runs.
Why did so many of the Fords break down?
BlackSn0wz I didn’t see one break only the gmc
Miller is cleaning up
what is the hooded guy drying at 47 seconds in
hell i thought my efi tuned lbz was powerful. These trucks half trottle would blow my truck to pieces
Prius Repellent
Booooooo! I wanted to see Lavon Miller get into the 10's last year he ran a 11.30 with no cage
Duke Silver
Me too, don't worry he'll be back next year. lol
Does this guy ever stop talking?
"lots a words to make this exciting and narrating things
obvious to everyone just cause i like my own voice..."
This is how you can make drying paint a thing....
Dragracing is about finishing the quater mile as quickly as possible SO WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU CHOOSE A TRUCK?!
these trucks beat Most cars.. and all hondas
This is also common in Thailand.
yeah, but wouldn't it make so much more sense to use something smaller/lighter considering aerodynamics?
Jaran holder 151mph!!!! Holy shit imagine if he could get off the line a little faster.

Keep this up I love it
No Buck!!! Day wasted!
Geez if they want to have the fast drag times done use a crew cab truck use a regular cab short bed
Dominic Valentine this is not the only comp for the trucks
Sloan V no really so a short truck is easier to back up and you can go faster when you have a truck with half the weight
Dominic Valentine but worthless on the sled pull
Dominic Valentine it will bite you in the sled pull as well as drag racing with a 10000 lb payload. It's not worth the other advantages
I find it interesting that duramaxes really don't have a good history at the challenge
65 people plug in every night...
god damnit, thats what kerosine is for! Diesel is for torque! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Bandimere! that's my home track...
are you that scared to lose you gotta use nos i mean really
It's the difference between victory and defeat. Warren beat the 2 Cummins with NOS. The Cummins can run those times without NOS.
Kevin Smith they all had nos. Also the white Cummins had a fully built striker motor I believe.
