I don't really agree rn because the current driving test standards are supremely outdated. In terms of awareness and safety, I'd pass with flying colours. But shit like palming the wheel when you're doing manoeuvres (even if you only do so if you've checked and KNOW it's clear with no possibility of anything hitting you) would cause you to fail. If the test was updated to not have its weird zero tolerance policies like that where there's no leeway even if it makes sense, then yeah that'd work
people get too comfortable driving. I think everyone here can agree we just don't pay as much as attention anymore as we did in the first 2 to 5 years of driving.

So your new highway code basically includes pedestrians in the "traffic going straight has right of way over traffic turning off" rule? We've had that in the Netherlands for quite some time, and it's going fine, it's basically a matter of communication, making eye contact.

Here in the US we have laws requiring people to move to the right unless passing. (Regarding the clip with the trucker passing from the far right lane) the left lane is the passing lane but there's laws regarding which lanes truckers can ride in

Look at 12:12, the evo starts of slower than the Ford and then pants says that it was because the Ford started of slower than the evo and says that he was paying more attention than the vo. Its not like evo can see over that massive Ford is it now pants common.
A few weird takes in this video. The white pickup pulling out behind the truck, no way pants would brake in time. The double yellow he blames the dude for overtaking when the other car pulls out in front and brakes.

That's what I was thinking! Judging by the camera slightly dipping down, the camera driver DID brake, and probably pretty hard, but that road is probably a 45-55 MPH road, and you can't stop from those speeds, with reaction time, in a few car lengths like that.

The left lane is technically only for passing slower traffic when you are on the interstate. You can actually get ticketed for traveling in the passing lane i believe

With the front of your ranger dont buy a bigger tyre or wheel actually make the front higher with new springs it will look nicer and bc im from australia and we have crazy 4x4 tracks and you would want the wheels to be the same size. Take the advice well really up to u but doing what i said is a better option.

12:25 I actually almost got t boned earlier this week in the exact same situation (except I had a green, he also had a green but it was one of the ones where you have to yield to traffic, he was also in an SUV just like this clip) and I will admit I was going 10 over, so 60MPH, I was in a 2007 Kia waiting for my Mustang's valve covers to be painted at the shop, if I was in my Mustang I likely would've hit the guy, the stock brakes are worse than the Kia's brakes, I locked the front wheels up, let off the brakes to let them gain traction again and turned right, 2 friends were behind me and said it was probably less that half a foot away from a collision, by far the closest I've come to wrecking a car

If you would pay more attention when watching dez videos you would notice that (12:51) the white car was driving a bit slower (probably) than the speed limit. So the genius (car that was filming) put on highbeams (at night) and was blinding the white car on purpose through the rear views mirrors. Thats the reason why he braked checked that azzhole.
I feel like you should check out Moto Madness next. Any video of theirs is quite entertaining to watch really.
8:00 fyi: trucks can only use the right two lanes. The driver up ahead was probably empty ( high wind with empty trailer could get really sketchy) / could be paid by hour so he was driving slower / clocked out and was close to a rest area so he wasn’t bothered, etc. It happened uphill and having a car drive the same speed as the other truck when having a full trailer / being pressured by time or clock hours, will cause truck drivers to make dangerous decisions.

One time I saw a car pull up by a truck and swerve at him and the truck yelled out and said don’t do that stuff then the car that swerved ran into a curb and his car went flying on two wheels my brother who was driving laughed so hard bc he saw the whole thing. Also the crazy thing is we were watching car crashes all day. Btw this was on a highway so he was probably going 55-60 MPH when he hit it. After we saw it we pulled into our development and when we came back and drove past the guy was sitting next to his car on the phone.

I drive for a living I have seen the majority of this things happen, many times when a driver just goes straight on a red light and hits another car or goes out of the road or hits cars that already stopped is because they looked at their phones or back to their kids or something by their side etc.
So there is no question of why did they went or why they didn't brake in time. They weren't looking at the road at all, that is why.
As an American who drives manual, I can't stand drivers who can't decide what speed they want to go. There's this road that I like driving on during sunny days and there's always 3 drivers that are going between 66 and 41 in the 55 zone. Meanwhile I'm going between 6th, 5th and 4th because some kia didn't pay attention to the learners permit test.
(Idk if Europe has something like this, but on unmarked roads, the speed limit is 55)
