Great work Mick, this runs fantastic. Glad I bought this and the wife ordered the shock towers to. I'm building the Knight hauler, the things a lot of work but enjoyable to build. Gives me time to wait for the VQS parts . Better order a 10.5 turn instead of using the 3.5 . The VQS is going to be a nice beast if I ever finish this dam semi , think you're going to love building the semi. Thanks for the video mate, was great to see that beast flying around.

Great video Mick. I always like your video. Love the detail work. I just finished mine and need to apply the decals. I put on the aluminum shocks and egress black wheels. Looks killer. The RZ motor looks great in there too. I put a TBLE04S esc in mine and will put the 02 in my new Blackfoot I gotta build. Fun times.
I just purchased this rig yesterday I look forward to then build . Also picked up the hot shot 2 just missed the block head edition thinking of getting that and keeping it in the box .

Great running video Mick! Ive said it before but that bmx track is a dream location. I reckon you've mastered it too. I'm scratching my head wondering how on earth you got the car to spin like a top at the top of the hill!!!
What the hell you said you hardly jumped it! LOL!! This ran great and they jump nice. That spot is awesome. The weak spot is the rear wing mine got kinked also but I love this buggy it's a fun one to drive. The cool thing I like about these older buggies is the ground clearance is much more than the new modern buggies and you can actually take these off road in some rough stuff. I drove mine a lot now no problems with shock towers or that rear plate I think tamiya may have improved them parts. Great run it was a fun watch!
Lol well I did aim for the lower jumps. Yeah. they do jump quite well. I found it's better to stay on the throttle the whole time otherwise it tends to nose dive. Haha, the wing is always the first to suffer on most buggies, just the way it is lol. The stock shock towers are usually fine but they just aren't GOLD!😍😂. I think the G11 part is probably fine in new buggies, I'm pretty sure their weakness is just an age problem. I guess at least I know the alloy G11 will still be in one piece long after I'm gone 🤣. Hi Shen, as a comparison. I took my mine out after its first build at a proper RC dirt track. After 20minutes of running, I drove it properly, the G11(original part) bent and lifted, this then caused the rear of the chassis to snap. At the same time the thread on the lower control arms stripped as well. So Tamiya certainly haven't improved on those parts.
@@robertb5840 Hi I Don't know if you seen my run videos but so far it's been good for me I guess if you jump it a lot maybe like on a track the option parts would be a good thing but I never upgrade any of my RC's if they don't break from how I run them and if they do then I get something better for them.
@@ShenRC Interesting. What motor/battery are you running? Mine runs on a Tamiya 10.5t brushless with 2s lipo. It does go hard, hence the additional stress on the chassis.

Thanks! Sorry for my slow reply. I'm not sure either body will fit without looking like they don't really belong there. The Avante body looks close but you may need to cut the rear end off it and maybe even cut it at the front. I haven't built my Egress yet, so it's harder to tell with the untrimmed body. Good luck if you want to give it a go! 👍

Hi Mick, I did the Fibre-Lyte conversion on my VQS. I got both the G11 parts and also the shock towers. That conversion requires more parts to complete. I also got Hi-Cap dampers too. Works good. Thoughts?

Regarding the wing, yeah its very fragile. I bought a Proline Pre-Cut Trifecta Lexan 1/10 Buggy Clear Wing and problem solved! Plus they look great!!

Super cool video as usual 😊 regarding the VQS seems like a well balanced chassis, will the VQS chassis fit the egress or avante body? Not too keen on the VQS body 😇🤔
Thanks! Sorry for my slow reply. I'm not sure either body will fit without looking like they don't really belong there. The Avante body looks close but you may need to cut the rear end off it and maybe even cut it at the front. I haven't built my Egress yet, so it's harder to tell with the untrimmed body. Do the alloy shock towers make a huge difference ins strength and performance? Silly question I’m sure
Hi Mick, I did the Fibre-Lyte conversion on my VQS. I got both the G11 parts and also the shock towers. That conversion requires more parts to complete. I also got Hi-Cap dampers too. Works good. Thoughts?
