I had a Vanquish when I was 14yo and it was SO much faster and better performing than most of the cars around that time.

Spot on Andy! I was trying not to get it too high (because the soft spring setting) but usually nose dived. Should just stay on it! 👍
I guess after all the upgrades and alloy pars, VQS will stand for Very Quality Stuff 😂 Lovely car, nice to see it rip at the sandpit, wouldn't have minded a small sprint in the yard-o-track as well :D

Thanks, that's my go-to place to run my buggies. I really wanted to get it out for a run in the backyard but the old fence is gone, still waiting for the new one. I kinda felt weird about filming the neighbours backyard too. They might come out to the clothesline naked or something freaky like that. 🤣

Cool run and awesome upgrades you got going for it! I said it before, I love all that aftermarket stuff being available... It's cool that some of us old farts are machinists or other skills to start making awesome parts to make buggies better...
Haha yeah, looks like some poor kid had a bad day! I'd say one of the older local kids probably stole it and left it there 🤷♂️. Thanks mate, it was great to drive, a load of fun. The Revive!RC Top Force is waiting on parts AGAIN lol. I bought a load of black hex screws, started putting them on and didn't like the look. So I've ordered a load of stainless hex screws 😂. Hoping to have it done before Santa arrives! 😁👍

Great work Mick, this runs fantastic. Glad I bought this and the wife ordered the shock towers to. I'm building the Knight hauler, the things a lot of work but enjoyable to build. Gives me time to wait for the VQS parts . Better order a 10.5 turn instead of using the 3.5 . The VQS is going to be a nice beast if I ever finish this dam semi , think you're going to love building the semi. Thanks for the video mate, was great to see that beast flying around.

I think the VQS will be perfect with the 10.5, 3.5 might be a bit of a handful. I keep looking at my King Hauler and trailer and saying "yep, there goes 1 month" lol, it's gonna be a long build. Thanks Mark! This is a great surface for drifting buggies. It's just very harsh on the bodies with a rollover, the little stones are really sharp. Oh yeah those shock towers do look great, can't wait to get them! Cheers mate. Merry Christmas to you and your family! 👍

Thanks Andrew! I think it handles quite well and flies nicely. The G11 part is awesome and I can't wait for the gold alloy shock towers, they're gonna look mint! Robert at rcEvoLogic is doing great work with his parts, I'm hoping his company can really take off. It would be awesome to have more RC parts manufacturing here in Australia. Great video Mick. I always like your video. Love the detail work. I just finished mine and need to apply the decals. I put on the aluminum shocks and egress black wheels. Looks killer. The RZ motor looks great in there too. I put a TBLE04S esc in mine and will put the 02 in my new Blackfoot I gotta build. Fun times.

Mic those gold pieces look great. They really do. Please do a video when you receive them! I will get them for my Vanquish. Do you feel fit and finish will be of high quality? Some of the aftermarket stuff from GPM and companies like that are lack luster.
Oh yeah they look real nice! There will be a video about them for sure! Going by the G11 part I have from rcEvoLogic, I have complete faith that the shock towers will be perfect also. I agree, some of the aftermarket parts are kind of hit 'n' miss. 👍

I was eyeballin that trike, wondering if I should go for a spin. Only problem was being there on my own, there was nobody to call an ambulance when a backflip off a jump goes bad 🤣.

What the hell you said you hardly jumped it! LOL!! This ran great and they jump nice. That spot is awesome. The weak spot is the rear wing mine got kinked also but I love this buggy it's a fun one to drive. The cool thing I like about these older buggies is the ground clearance is much more than the new modern buggies and you can actually take these off road in some rough stuff. I drove mine a lot now no problems with shock towers or that rear plate I think tamiya may have improved them parts. Great run it was a fun watch!
Lol well I did aim for the lower jumps. Yeah. they do jump quite well. I found it's better to stay on the throttle the whole time otherwise it tends to nose dive. Haha, the wing is always the first to suffer on most buggies, just the way it is lol. The stock shock towers are usually fine but they just aren't GOLD!😍😂. I think the G11 part is probably fine in new buggies, I'm pretty sure their weakness is just an age problem. I guess at least I know the alloy G11 will still be in one piece long after I'm gone 🤣. Regarding the wing, yeah its very fragile. I bought a Proline Pre-Cut Trifecta Lexan 1/10 Buggy Clear Wing and problem solved! Plus they look great!!
Hi Shen, as a comparison. I took my mine out after its first build at a proper RC dirt track. After 20minutes of running, I drove it properly, the G11(original part) bent and lifted, this then caused the rear of the chassis to snap. At the same time the thread on the lower control arms stripped as well. So Tamiya certainly haven't improved on those parts.
@@robertb5840 Hi I Don't know if you seen my run videos but so far it's been good for me I guess if you jump it a lot maybe like on a track the option parts would be a good thing but I never upgrade any of my RC's if they don't break from how I run them and if they do then I get something better for them.
@@ShenRC Interesting. What motor/battery are you running? Mine runs on a Tamiya 10.5t brushless with 2s lipo. It does go hard, hence the additional stress on the chassis.
That's the same spec as mine or be it I've got Hi Caps... Its Rapid Mick love it and look forward to seeing the Bling go on 😊

Thanks mate! They are a great buggy! To drive, I find it not a lot different to a Top Force. I couldn't say about the TD4 as I've not built mine yet. 👍

Super cool video as usual 😊 regarding the VQS seems like a well balanced chassis, will the VQS chassis fit the egress or avante body? Not too keen on the VQS body 😇🤔
Thanks! Sorry for my slow reply. I'm not sure either body will fit without looking like they don't really belong there. The Avante body looks close but you may need to cut the rear end off it and maybe even cut it at the front. I haven't built my Egress yet, so it's harder to tell with the untrimmed body. Hi Mick, I did the Fibre-Lyte conversion on my VQS. I got both the G11 parts and also the shock towers. That conversion requires more parts to complete. I also got Hi-Cap dampers too. Works good. Thoughts?
