@@CA999”impress” (in the showy off sense of it) or “intimidate” visitors/guests/foreigners or just strangers = is not and never been part of russian culture or russian spirit. Also, the sense of competing is very low (except in sports or similar stuff). This is one of the main points of differences between russian and most of other western/US cultures and this is where a lot of misunderstanding comes from.
For example: russian generosity and total straight forwardness is always taken as weakness.

Americans have more in common with the common Russian than y'all do with your warmongering, hegemonic kleptocratic politician elites. As a matter of fact, Russians and American southerners have a lot in common.
As a Russian who immigrated to the US with my family as kid (Southern California), there was a huge contrast between my Russian upbringing and your typical liberal American that you'll find in Blue States like California. But as an a adult, I moved out to North Carolina for a few years, it was completely different. From the large family gatherings with lots of food, to being respectful to one's elders, to getting you butt spanked for misbehaving as a child, without CPS being called on the parents. That's why it really saddened me, growing up, noticing how Russia and Russians are constantly portrayed by the US government, Mainstream Media, Hollywood, and even the US education system. It's always that Russians are all these emotionless vodka drinking alcoholic gangsters or kgb spies. Additionally, the US education system likes to revise history to discredit the Russians whilst prompting themselves up.
Hell, most Americans don't even know that it was the Russians who lost +16,000,000 during WW2 (~30,000,000 killed for all of the USSR), and that they destroyed 80% of the Nazi Forces on the Eastern front and had reached Berlin Germany and the Nazis officially surrendered, while the Americans and Brits were still fighting on the Western front.
They also never teach in schools the role the Catherine The Great and the Russian Empire had in the American Revolution against the British.

I guess you did not happen to notice there names of equipment were written in English, Not Russian, They are focusing on exporting to English speaking countries, I will bet you most of what they are selling is being sold for export , not Russian people... Also Russian gun laws for civilians are much stricter and in Russia you can't own anything but a shotgun for 5 years before you can even buy a rifle and even then you need special permits and the rifles have to have at least 20in barrels and a maximum of 10 round magazines and they can not own handguns unless permitted and in a shooting club and then they have to keep the guns locked at the shooting club and not allowed to keep them at home, On top of not allowing handguns accept for sport shooting, they are also limited to 5 shotguns and rifles after only being allowed to own the shotgun for 5 years then you have to do a lot of red tape and testing to own then it is said around 3% of Russians own guns...

Hi Dan, the other day I watched a lot of your videos about Baikal, Irkutsk, Slyudyanka, Mongolia and many others where you just talk about life. I became interested in your UA-cam channel after watching several Real Reporter videos. I myself am from a hereditary family of Russian military officers, I served in the Moscow region (Shchelkovo) in the Railway Troops (ЖДВ), and often traveled through and visited Moscow. I myself am a Russian woman, originally from Western Siberia, Omsk. After military service, I traveled throughout Russia and many cities in Western Europe, but Moscow remained my favorite city. I understand why many people in Russia give primacy to St. Petersburg - well, because it is the Venice of the north and all that, but still the Northern capital is not my thing. If St. Petersburg can be called a purely European capital, then Moscow is already a Eurasian capital. Moscow is much more global, deep and large-scale; it is a real imperial capital of the world. When, while in the service, I walked along the streets of Moscow with my future husband, we dreamed of how we would conquer the world, and how all our dreams would come true. It was the most wonderful and magical time in my life. So I wish you the best impressions of Moscow, like I had in my youth. Sorry for the machine translation, best regards, Kate (Ekaterina).

1980's California Gun Shows were probably bigger that that expo in Moscow today, and might not exist in CA anymore. The young owner of the SKS said they have more firearm freedom in Russia than in CommieFornia. For certain items that is true, and for the moment CommieFornia still allows handgun ownership but people are limited to what they can purchase because of the stupid roster of what can be imported and sold. I heard after obtaining a Russian Firearm License the initial 5 years they are only allowed to own one shotgun. After the initial 5 years they can obtain other long guns, but handguns are not allowed. They can own handguns, but they must be kept at their range, and not taken home. I am not sure if owning Full-Auto is allowed in Russia, but I doubt it.

cool Bro when there is no crime in your country, that's cool when you don't need a weapon for self-defense, maximum for hunting, in developed countries crime is minimal, at least that's what the world thinks, communists were what bad?what was the Gulag?so were you scared at school? now there are 2.5 million prisoners in the USA, which is 40% of all prisoners in the world, and 40% more than in China (communist)and there people don't chase weapons, it's not strange, 60% of all the world's drugs are used in the USA, gangs, areas of zombie addicts, and this phenomenon in such a power is precisely because it is a profit for your authorities, they sell you drugs, and so that you are not attacked they sell you weapons, and this isIs it cool for you?and your children are taught sodomy and are building a church of Satan (legalized)tell me now that you are cooler than cool, by consumption???2023 is the month of October, 80% of Americans receive less than 50,000 a year, which means belt tightening,44% of Americans cannot afford to save money,40 million Americans live below the poverty line in tent cities, and the figure is growing, the dollar is losing its position, the state debt is growing, the US authorities openly admit that the debt cannot be paid maybe crime has increased by 25% in 20 years, what kind of coolness are you talking about? medicine is a luxury for you, I put a silver seal for $ 30, how much does it cost you?and if we speak for a serious operation, then it's better for a simple person to die, so who is it good and cool for you, millionaires? just how many percent of them are in the US?when 80% can't afford the extra, or is it good that you can from the pitats dump? From Goodwell to dress up?bro, that time has passed, garbage cans in Russia are no poorer, believe me, there are even channels you can compare, you are far from who you think you are, or what Hollywood shows you

I am so glade that there are gun nuts there too. Gun nuts are good people. Great show. Our gun shows have turned into rummage sales. A lot more used stuff then new, not much new technology here anymore. Some of those shotguns on the wall were beautiful.

Hi Dan, in Canada I have an ar10 that has to be slide action to be legal. I've been looking at a Tavor 7 that for some reason is not banned by Trudeau. I hesitate to spend the $ because I keep expecting it to be banned. I think we're the only country where you can buy something totally legal and in a year the gov might say, you can't use that but have to keep it locked up now.

Trudeau has abolished one of the most important postulates of lawmaking !
THE LAW CANNOT BE RETROACTIVE .
That is, it is impossible to legally sell the AR-15 today , and download it tomorrow , IT IS NOT LEGAL .
What is legally purchased must remain legal !
This was the case in Roman law and works wherever there is a law !
In Russia , there was also a complication of purchases for new persons in 2022 , but everyone who bought a weapon before June 2022 remained its rightful owner and can use it ! Something strange is happening in Canada !

I don't think they need a broken half man, half metal old soldier living off welfare after all the savings run out.
