It does matter if he was trying to swallow drugs he shouldn't have he didn't deserve to die for those actions. That's now a mother we no child and a daughter with no father. It's easy to sit behind a computer and condemn the boy to death without taking into consideration how his family and friends felt after such a heartbreaking death.
His death was an ACCIDENT, that officer didn't just decide to kill him. Use your brain.

Well first of all, A drug overdose does not happen that quickly so that’s .1 taken off. Secondly it only takes a minute of a lack of oxygen to get someone to brain cells to start dying however survival is still possible And as a three minute mark normal survival is no longer possible and serious brain damage has occurred. And thirdly, he was running before his body was already depleted of oxygen. Finally there was no need for the police officers to restrain him like that. As you yourself saw in the video the other police officer involved with training said that this force was unnecessary. The title of the film is ‘police brutality in London.’
But of course you do not care you just think this is a matter of politics and doesn’t affect the lives of actual people. Either that or you just do not care about black people being subjected to harsher policing, seeing as to how quick you are to make excuses for the police and institutional racism.
This isn’t just a black white and brown issue, although race please and important role, this is also a class element to this, because those poor kids in East Glasgow will be treated similarly probably not as badly because they don’t suffer from the racial element.

Rashan's death is tragic but come on guys. The officer wasn't using excessive force. This scenario can't be compared to the corruption in America.
I have no doubt that the odd "bad apple" argument can hold up in the UK. But by and large those bad apples get rooted out quick. Most of our officers are actually pretty careful about their application of force. So much so they get called soft by the racists in our country. They aren't soft though they just do actually value health and safety far more than they do in America.
Lets be honest here. If George Floyd had been arrested in the UK he would probably still be alive.

According to this video, 160 people died after contact with police in the last decade. According to Talk Radio only 10 have died in the same period I believe that they said while in police custody.

Adam Hunt, About 4 years ago my little cousin was stopped and searched in the scorching sun. There was a pole behind him and he took a couple steps back to rest on it and he got slammed face first to floor because they thought he was trying to walk away and resist arrest and he was unconscious.
