Would regulating the dog-walking industry make it safer?

- There's been an increase in the number of dog attacks in the past 5 years, according to exclusive data obtained by the BBC.
The Met Police says it's seen an 83% rise in out-of-control dogs causing injury. Last year alone, they seized more than 1,100 dogs and spent almost a £1m on vet and kennel bills.
After the death of a dog walker in Surrey this year, one Londoner is calling for more safety rules, as Olivia Demetriades reports.

Dog walking regulations aren't the UK's biggest problems right now, this is a bit trivial.
Shh! Don't look over there nothing else we should be worried about.
In most communities in the US, at least mine anyway, dogs must be kept on leash at all times and in all places UNLESS you are in a designated dog park that allows off leash play. It’s very easy for folks to avoid these dog parks, but sadly there aren’t a lot of them. Not sure if this would have prevented the death of the dog walker from Surrey. Probably not. Were the dogs involved in the attack off leash?
Also, I’d like to say how lovely it is to see videos of dogs in the UK enjoying off leash walks virtually everywhere. They seem to be so well behaved.
Please do a video on defending yourself against a dog attack, RE: the sas survival guide - the big heavy £20+ book, not the mini version.
What's with the stereo going from one side to another?
Be kind with animals ❤
If a dog attacked me, I would chop it up and sell it to KFC
And muzzle aggressive dogs
Very nice report
I'm South African. In my neighbourhood people walk their dogs in a field with a sign that says "Warning: Any person entering this area without proper authority does so at his peril - By order of the Minister of Defence". They don't seem to be using it so screw them man.
Hard news from the BBC.
Sweet video but dog walking regulations aren't the UK's biggest problems.
Muzzle aggressive owners
PEOPLE who cant walk there own dogs shouldnt have dogs period
We should extend that sentiment to children. People who can’t look after their own children shouldn’t have them. No more nurseries, child minders etc.
I think this applies to most things, if you can't handle it then don't do/have it if you can help it.
Good
Ffs is this news for the snooty
