3 Days on the River - Fishing, Camping and Cooking

I took a 3 day trip for some fly fishing on the San Juan river in Northern New Mexico. Join me for some rainbow and wild brown trout fishing on the river. Using nymphs and a wooly worm fly, I was able to catch some nice fish each day. Springtime fishing to see how I could do.
I camped out and cooked my dinners over the fire. Still a little cold at night, bit the trip was worth it.

Great fishing trip Robbie. Its all about getting outdoors and enjoying the different things nature has to offer. We dont have to be successful all the time, but its the love that we have for being a sportsman. Cooking over an open fire or throwing a Hobo dinner on the coals and just enjoying yourself. Just being in the outdoors and getting away is so rewarding. But we all need to take our children and show them the ways and skills that we gathered to help them in there adventures.

Great video. Almost 30 years ago I used to fish up next to the dam. It was a great spot and used to catch a ton of fish. It's a shame they closed that area off.

Good job Robbie, makes me want to get out and do some fishing. Especially cooking over an open fire and eating some previously harvasted, well-deserved, hard earned Game meat. 😎 Coasta's Are definitely helping you identify those fish As you are Reeling them in.
