thank you!! i use Blender, and do a few things: - i lower the filter size and sampling as far as can go - i use constant color ramps in (most) of my materials - i scale it down to 1/8 in the compositor - i posterize in the compositor to make it feel a bit more retro it's nothing structured, i really just mess around until i like it. the color ramps are pretty important, cause it hard cuts the colors instead of smoothing them over. i use linear color ramps for things i want to look out of place or more realistic, like the legs. there's more to it, but that's the jist to just make things look decently pixelated :)
Dude this song is crazy good. The chorus with the voices panning from side to side is amazing, especially with the melody. The chorus mixed with the verse makes this somewhat goofy song somehow into a masterpiece. Great job man
