There was a brief moment of hope at the start of the episode that the UA-cam Members may end up having homes soon, but the appeal of pushing the big red button and the subsequent water level disaster completely took RCE's attention away from us 🥺 Someday we'll have beds to sleep in, friends, and our children won't lay their heads down in the dirt at night. Even the sinners in the Wheels of Shame have beds, I'm confident that we will too! Someday... That aside, the massive double-bridge actually looks quite nice, especially with the temple at the end. While it's probably depressing to see on the horizon for all the Member beavers who can't visit it themselves, it sure does look nice from a distance. Excited to see what major project gets underway next!
Also, it's pretty commendable that the only beaver deaths are basically old age... Not drought or explosions or workplace accidents or jumping off bridges
Have you considered building a lake? You could wall off the area below the temple and then try to flood it. Could be quite aesthetic, especially with the bridge going over it. As an aside,, it can also serve as a large storage area for water during the dry season.
Hey RCE, with the wheels next to the wheat area: make that entire strip 2 wide, the entrance and the exit. I think that should solve the waterwheel problem!
The remove building tool (fifth from the left) lets you batch remove so you don't have to click each object individually. Also both methods (selected keyboard delete or the delete tool) skip the confirmation dialogue if you hold shift.
That mega bridge project sure gives some real architect vibes. We could easily get the same job done cheaper and easier with stairs. 😂 RCE is secretly an architect and here is another hint. This channel has a subplot I can feel it.
This game is so good that I completely burned myself out on it in a little over a week. Who would've thought that building beaver megalopolii would be so addictive.
@@kaldogorath it's really fun, but I hit a point where I'm just like, "okay, I've unlocked everything, I'm completely protected from dry spells, I've rendered the map unrecognizable... hm. Welp, back to Minecraft I guess."
Hi RCE, I got this game after watching you play and I'm loving it. I noticed that you were clicking & tapping delete/enter to delete blueprints. I just wanted to let you know I've found that blueprints can be deleted using 'Demolish buildings and resources'>'Delete buildings' from the options in the tool bar. you know what'd be incredibly useful in this game that I've noticed? A tool to turn on and off multiple buildings at once! especially with the ironteeth and their breeding pods.
I cheat and delete a piece of road to turn a group of buildings off. Like to stop the water dumps going into a reservoir when the dry season hits. But yes, an easier way to turn multiple buildings off and on together would be nice. I think the developers are working on it.
if you go into the demolish menu, the house being hit with the hammer beside the plant trees and berries menu, you can select demolish buildings or demolish trees. this allows you to select a large area of either without having to delete each individual block! Love the videos!!
I think you need to know that you can select an area to be demolished with the destroy tab, you can also place many platforms or levees by holding lmb with selected item Your welcome, keep going the series is epic!!
the picture of the broken house with a hammer over it, is for demolishing buildings too so you could do that much faster next time without suffering cramps
I now truly believe you are a real civil engineer. You noticed the flaw in your irrigation plan long after it was built and about 5 episodes after everyone else. Classic signs of an engineer.
Some helpful tips: - The Demolish tool (fifth icon from the left in the toolbar) lets you to select an area to demolish multiple buildings or resources. - If you have a bunch of buildings you need to turn on or off (science huts, water pumps, etc), you can click the building and press P to toggle it.
Why not just add more pumps after the second dam in the super deep lake and permanently turn off the pumps in the river, since emptying the upper reservoir to fill up the river just keeps drying up that higher land which is not really useful. You could also just dynamite the river to make it deeper and hold more water like you did for the upper reservoir
RCE you need to go to your warehouses and set demand for specific items or turn them to zero. So that way your beavers are working more and hauling less. (And so your haulers are only hauling what they need instead of looping warehouses)

You could build a path from where you added the stairs in the Beaver barracks to the wooded area around the water sources so the Beavers have a quicker way to get to that area
Hey RCE, I figured out that you can build directly below a bridge, but not off the side of one. I think it's handy for floodgates, because you can build a bridge at the highest point across a river and place a triple floodgate underneath. Thought I'd share my findings. Happy building!

#HousesforYT The big water containers are worth it the one big one requires only 55 logs (plus some work) versus those 11 small ones you placed take up 3x as many logs, nearly 4x as much arable land, but barely store more than the single large container.
8:40 How is this supposed to work? Like you can still drop only 3 tiles of height from the main reservoir and then what's passed through the main dam must go through the other dam that makes nothing useful
@@tennoten_ he could then replace the back gate with a taller floodgate, I think the new one was anti-flood protection for the time it takes to re-build the main lock.
Dear RCE. In the leisure tab, there is a merry go round type thing that requires power. The SHAME CIRCLES should be powering it. It's perfect. They will *never* be able to ride it but they will watch all their fellow beavers ride it. What's worse than having the energy you make go to waste? Having it directly fund the joy of others.
I really love your content and I was wondering something, I have a project for school where I need a wood and glue bridge span a small gap with increased weight until it breaks. We're graded on how light the bridge is and how much weight it can hold. Since your a real civil engineer what kind of bridge do you recommend?
truss if all you have are sticks. if the weight is from above [like a real bridge] and its only downward force and not twisting [like bridges in high wind or earthquakes], do a downwards pointing triangle. If twisting is a test point, look up "heavy duty box truss for lighting", that is what those giant video walls and all the moving lights at concerts hang from. If you go with Triangle [25% lighter], make the "V's" in the lacing connect at the bottom so they transfer force to each other [like a double arch doorway]. Since all you can use to attach them is glue [with no pinning to simulate bolts or rivets] a simple box or triangle truss design should function better than the truss arches you see Matt make in poly bridge. At the scale you are doing, [I assume the gap is no more than about 18"/0.5m] the amount of cuts you would have to make to get a semi-curve, like in trestle bridges, would weaken the structure without pins/rivets. Keeping your main beams as close to single-piece as possible will reduce potential break points. The stronger your glue [like super/gorilla glue or other CA glue] the less flexible the bond points are so leave it for point-based applications like corners or apexes. If you have to bond 2 sticks to make them longer, use a softer glue like white glue, wood glue or another PVA, the bond will flex with the wood instead of shearing. These suggestions come from working in concert lighting [I use alot of truss and have witnessed its strength and breaking points] and building models [wargame/D&D terrain]
Just wanna clarify: the "duh-de-luh" the RCE called triplets are NOT triplets. He sang them as three 16th-notes and one 16th-rest. In any measure, a triplet occurs three times per quarter note with an even amount of space in-between each triplet note.
Maybe deepen the channel above the mill so you have a 2 or 3 deep water storage. Maybe even without the connection between the main water storage at the source so the both are independent and one smaller doesn't lower the main one.
every large water tank holds water for 10 normal ones. 300 vs 30 large water tanks cost: 30 planks and 20 cogs or in terms of logs 50 logs small water tanks cost 15 logs So material wise you could build 3 large water tanks for the price in raw materials of 10 water tanks. Space wise a water tank takes up 2 squares and a large one takes up realistically 6 technically only 5. so you could either place 90 water storage or 300 in the same amount of space. Logs -> Planks -> Cogs are 1 -> 1 -> 1 so the only thing the large ones cost more in is time which is only in the short run since you could have less space that the beavers have to go to fill the tanks in the end. An Engineer would up production and spring for the good ones.
