Where do I find the follow up video to this where this laptop is tested further? I like how Melissa reviews things, she is very articulate and a great presenter. Did she do any recent test on the X1 Yoga 5th gen? shes awesome, she needs to start her own youtube channel
most honest and authentic unboxing on youtube of this x1, everything what i need to know to be very interested in ththis laptop. Will there be a more detailed test ect?
Heidi same. Every time I’m sure I’ll get the Carbon I see another Yoga video and I’m like DAMN I WANT THAT. Wish it wasn’t so much more expensive over the Carbon tho
I wonder how your reaction was when your 3rd Gen battery test is actually worse than my 2nd Gen at 6 hours MAX doing real work and or watching UA-cam videos. 15 hours is what they said from Gen 1 from 3 years ago. Lenovo always have massively lied about battery life. The only ones that really gets 15 hours are the x220-280 and the T-450-480s with either larger extended batteries or slice batteries and or combo of the two. BTW the track point pads from the Gen 1 is WAY better than the one our Gen 2 /Gen 3. Even the keyboard from the Gen 1 has a better feel than the wave kb. I have had all three. If one could make the perfect X1 Yoga it would be the 1st Gen Kb with the Gen 3 i7 quad-core cpu and Full HDR display with the cam blocker and a real RJ45 socket. One day maybe.. Take care and great review.
Dont you dare to say the trackpoint is there because it is a tradition and now it is not required any more ! Remove trackpoint and we will have hundreds of better and much cheaper options to choose from ! Instead of promoting the use of trackpoint which is what differentiates ThinkPads from competition WE have to beg them to keep it ! How useless these managers can be I wonder.
"traditional keyboard"...what a joke, those keyboard arent traditional for thinkpads, only for all the rest of the laptops and no, no holes for liquid on new shit... mambo jumbo infos...that was only until 2012, seen on thinkpad ...
@@MegaXtc11 That track point nob or nub makes for speedier typing (easy to center on home keys) and faster cursor control - it is a productivity tool - a big advantage over Dell, MacBook Pro, or any other pro laptop. Gamers and finger pointers - yeah, you don't need it.
The camera man / commentator is like a dumb younger sibling with his dumb naive questions. Seriously not sure if it's intended or not but sure it's annoying. RTFM newb.
The nipple is irreplaceable because it means you can use the mouse while keeping your hands on the home keys.
finally a video that talks about that keyboard retraction thing

There is Ethernet... it just doesn't use an RJ45 connector.
Exactly... I'm thinking they should know this
After hours of frustrating comparisons, this video made the difference, I know what I'm going to buy

Looks awesome, hope it does well on the battery test, 15 hours sounds amazing

What is your real world battery life you're getting? Any thermal issues?
This is not a gaming laptop. Why do you keep calling it that?
I'm still a fan of the x250. I have a T450s which is a great machine. I also have a X1 yoga but I dropped it so it has a big chunk out of the lid :(
How cool is she with info.
Great work!
Silver or black, which one is better?
oh definitely go with the black one, trust me,that is the thinkpad we're talking about, the essence of thinkpad is its black colour.
I got distracted with the machines at the back.
red nose stands for i am selling my xps

“Authentic struggle right here” ty being homeless
Does this come with a bunch of tencent games pre installed?

I'd love there to be an option to order one without the stupid knob. I'd consider buying this if not that annoying detail.
Then it will not be a Thinkpad, just like a Mac doesn't have the nub
It makes no difference to daily use, it's just heritage
