yeah old portuguese houses are refrigerators but once is inhabited it warms up. we tend to start before sundown. beds need to be pre-warmed with hot water rubber pouches, each bed gets extra blanket or winter blanket (thick, traditional and made of sheep's wool), winter pajamas, winter socks, etc. like everyone did before 1900's. we are that modern. 😜 or you can depend on electricity, oil heaters are more or less good, but costly. human heat is the best. cuddle up, like spoons. stay warm, stay strong 🤠😎
Those hot water pouches! I used them a long time ago when I was living in China and there was no central heating. Everyone had those! PJs, socks, extra sweaters, I've got it all.
Hello Ivon....Believe it or not our bodies will regulate to the temps. if is too hot at the beginning we may struggle and then all of the suddenly 90 degrees F is nothing, same goes with winter weather...if we keep ourselves using the ac or in front of the fire or bundle up our bodies will not get the message to adjust to the cold temps..we will end up using a sweater and at times even with that we can feel hot. I experienced that phenomenon for a couple of years and that helps because i do not have a way to heat up the house... when the temps are coming below 20 deg farenheit i just close up the bedroom door or office door put a space heater, heat the place up and voila...have a very safe and happy holidays. No my house is not well insulated...no doors on the inside, slab concrete floors (no money to put floors yet), windows are from 60's but i am happy I have a roof over my head...I just adjust to what the weather dictates..
Same, also happy to have a roof over my head and a way to generate some warmth. Maybe later I can try that, have my body adjust to the temperature, but for now I think I'll continue to bundle up.
Hi Yvon, you look cosy in Yellow. The cats are such a comfort, right ? I hope the house will get warmer but winter is here ! I am glad outside is nice ❤❤❤
HELLO. WE ARE IN THE COLD TIME BUT THERE ARE NO LONGER THE 4 SEASONS LIKE THERE USED TO BE! I RECOMMEND LEMON TEA (A LOT) AND 1 TBS OF HONEY PER DAY (BUT ON A WOODEN OR PLASTIC SPOON PREFERABLY) NEVER IRON! LOSE QUALITY! STEP BY STEP I WILL ACHIEVE THE OBJECTIVES. I AM HAPPY
Lemon tea sounds great, I will be able to make a lot of that once the lemons are ready. I used to drink that as a child whenever we'd go ice skating. 🍋

The cats are really nice when they come cuddle. I'm hoping the house gets warmer soon too, but I'm afraid it'll stay cold in some places.

Hot soup! 🥣
Soup is amazing! Especially in winter.
Primark snuddies
Had to look that up, but it seems those are big sweaters / onesies. They look really warm.
Hi! We are looking for a house more or less in the area where you bought yours. Can you give me the name and number of your real estate agent? Thanks🙂
Our real estate agent worked with Remax in Oliviera d'Hospital. If you send me a DM on insta I could give her name.
@@GoYvon I just sent the message on Insta. Thanks for being so helpful
