You can make it work on a lot of rims but you need tubeless specific tires. They have a hook on the bead to help them seal better. Honestly, if you have it set up well, there are almost no cons to tubeless set up. The pros far out weight any small negative. It's lighter. Allows you to run lower pressure. It's so good

Are you using a schrader valve adapter on top of the presta valve? Looks like it

I do with my compressor and I usually keep one on my set of wheels whenever I go on rides just as an emergency

The rim can get damaged but if you run proper tire pressure you generally will have no issues.
