Thank you sooooo much! My hazard lights just started flashing & wouldn't go off! I had no idea where the fuse Box was, and on location with your video, even with the diagram in the manual, it wasn't clear where no 39 actually was among the array of fuses... massive thanks for the diagram & fusebox location.
You are most welcome Jen and I glad it helped. I went looking under the bonnet myself and was scratching my head! If you need a copy of my fuse box layout diagram for future reference, please drop me an email. Thanks for watching!
Hi Andy, I've inherited my late uncles 2001 MK1 TT 225 and I've fallen in love whilst in the process of getting it back on the road and legal! Your videos are of the highest quality I've come across. Can't thank you enough. Question if I may: Far-right engine bladed fuse (possibly ABS pump?) keeps blowing. ABS and ESP warning lights. No OBD errors. Recommendations? Going to disconnect all ABS sensors in the morning, see if it blows. They will need a good clean/replacing as the car has been stood for years. If no luck where should I go from there?
I've read it could be the ABS pump, which seem to be pretty cheap to get hold of on eBay. What else should I rule out before going down that route? Thank you!!
@@ahuds94 thanks for your kind words on my channel and welcome to TT ownership. Failing components often cause the spikes in current that blow the fuses or the wiring loom could be damaged also. It tends to chaff in places. I will see what I can find out for you and report back 👍
Thanks Andy, have a main driving light that's not coming on after replacing. Hoping it's just the fuse. Any luck the airbag has a fuse as well? Getting the dash light warning for that. 💸💸💸🤞🍻 Thank you.
Hi Andy thankyou very informative video. I'm about to fit a dash cam via the fusebox, do you know if I any if this volts around it can be used as a ground? Cheers
Hi Su and thanks very much for your comment. My advice would be to run a fresh earth for the cam if you can. Otherwise you could get some interference elsewhere (such as introducing it to the radio!)
@@albertnewmann6846 there are some relays above your feet in the drivers footwell and I believe one is for the roof. However the roof not working might be down to water damage in the Ccm which is located in a compartment in the roof void behind the drivers shoulders. There is a short video on my channel showing where 👍
@@andycharger thank you Andy. Not a lot of space under there. Am I looking for a drop down under the dash, or something at the sides or behind the pedals? Sorry for being useless, but I can't see it
I think they are above the pedals from memory. They might be shown in my Cluster repair video. I’m not sure if I covered them or not. I’m doubting myself now!
Hi Dave. It could be a few things. Could be the pump itself or perhaps one of the rams has popped off rather than a fuse. If the roof goes down, unlikely to be a fuse problem.
Hi. There are some additional relays in the footwell of the drivers side of UK cars. You may need to remove the trim above the pedals to reach it. Sorry I did not include that in the video buddy. I hope you get it sorted 👍
Hi Stuart. There are another couple of fuses found since! The Cabrio roof one is on a relay panel behind lower dash on driver side. Remove panel and you will see a 30A blade fuse that operates the roof. There is another one there for the wind break glass. I will look into the windows for you. Luckily I have not had to isolate them yet! Cheers! Andy
Had a problem with my electric roof, replaced fuses but it was traced to my roof ECU unit...Common fault on tts because ECU is poorly located below the roof in rear boot allowing moisture to gather inside roof ECU causing it to fail...My next fix on my tt is to replace roof drain tubes...If they get blocked your car boot and cabin get water leaking inside...Maybe Andy could do a video on this fix...

Nice one Andy, thanks. The roof drain tubes would be a good idea for a video as someone has already mention below.
Hi Al, Yes i am going to take a look at that shortly. As soon as I do I will sure to give you a shout out for requesting!
Thanks Andy. Look forward to that video, maybe not the job though :))

Is there a fuse for the convertible top on a 2004 Audi TT Turbo? I can't seem to find information for where it is located.

Drop me an email and I will send it over 👍
Hello Andy, do you know which fuse is for the roof motor? Thank you Andy
I think it’s a relay under the dash in the drivers side

Do you have a video on the relays
