I want to everyone who stuck around until the end of the marathon, whether they were visitors or long-time community members. This was such a great 2 months of grinding for this series. I'm one of those persons that were lucky enough to only have started watching this series when the marathon started and wanted to thank cawcawTV for checking this anime out. I really can't wait for the S3 reactions as soon as possible as we head on to most likely what people say the best arcs of Re:ZERO. 🔥🔥
So basically this happened in this finale offscreen 🔥
*Before Emilia: “We shared a kiss, so please take care of the kid."*
*Subaru: “Excuse me?"*
*After Emilia: “We're not finished yet. Come by at my room tonight."*

Subaru and Beatrice were able to share mana after the contract, therefore even though his gate was destroyed, he was still able to cast the spells at the start of the episode. Beatrice used nearly all of her mana, which she had been storing for more than 400 years, to create another dimension with Al Shamac. She's practically running on empty now that it easily took out the bunnies. One feature that sets Beatrice apart is that, being an artificial spirit, she must draw mana from some source rather than having it replenished automatically.
Emilia's acceptance of Subaru's kiss bears much more significance because she believed that a kiss would result in a baby. This is especially true when Subaru receives her kiss before he passes away from his wounds from the rabbits, which is known as the *"kiss of death"*
Emilia was taught that kissing produces babies by Annerose, the cousin of Roswaal and loli whose mansion the party currently resides in. Puck simply never gave Emilia the correction for it.
Subaru really walked up to Ram and requested her to speak with Emilia about the process of making a baby. You guys can imagine how that turned out.
There is a distinct face on the Echidna in the tomb. That is her true face from four centuries ago. We never saw it in the flashbacks because of this. Because the Echidna Emilia knew had a different face, why would she wonder who was within the tomb? The author states that the Echidna from 400 years ago and the Echidna from the trials are two different entities. Because of this, they have somewhat different but essentially same appearances: the Echidna from 400 years ago is thought to be in her mid-to-late twenties, while the Echidna from the Trials is considerably younger.
Roswaal asked Beatrice if she thought of him as a monstrous creature, claiming that for 400 years, he had effectively stolen his children's life. He came to the conclusion that the only compatible vessel would be his own children. They grew so far apart since Beatrice had no knowledge this whole time and simply saw the Roswaals as her old friend's descendants.
He claimed that soul transcription is only effective for vessels that have a strong soul affinity for this reason. He has essentially had children over the years in order to utilize them as a means of transferring his soul and continuing to live until he is able to carry out his goal of slaying the dragon and bringing Echidna back to life.
As you may have seen from the previous episode, Roswaal discovered the soul transcripton in the Forbidden Library and learned every book there. Consequently, rather than cherishing his time spent there with Beatrice, he dedicated his time to mastering the aforementioned spell and learning every book.
Another thing that was cut was the conversation between Roswaal and Subaru. One thing that became clear was that although Roswaal was the one who hired Elsa in the capital to kill Emilia and contract her once more to kill Beatrice in this arc, he did not hire Meili to use Mabeasts to attack the village in season one, nor did he hire the *"sisters"* to eliminate Frederica and Petra as well. It appears that there is another third party behind the scenes around the Emilia camp.
Additionally, Roswaal's statement of *"turning everything to ash"* if he loses anyone is kind of underplayed in the anime. In essence, Roswaal was threatening Subaru that he would kill everyone else and let the curse to reduce him to ash if he lost someone he wished to protect. He is putting pressure on Subaru to follow his beliefs in order to save everyone because it is the course he decided was best for them both. Thus, even though he is now an ally, he poses a threat.
A little cut content about Subaru being knighted. Subaru was turned into a knight for Emilia by Roswaal. Rewarding Subaru for eliminating Betelgeuse and protecting his territory against the Witch Cult is merely a formality. Furthermore, by designating Subaru as the Knight of Emilia, Roswaal intends to leverage Subaru's notoriety as the man who orchestrated the murder of Betelgeuse, a Witch Cult member and a key player in the White Whale murder, in order to support Emilia's candidacy in the Royal Selection. Roswaal basically played 4D chess.

Spirits are made out of the Mana of the World, so they can directly manipulate mana in environment. (Some exceptions)
-> mages, use they gates to send send environmental mana towards their Odd (aka life force/soul) to save it... which then they can later use by sending outwards.
-> Odd is technically also mana, which BOTH mages and Spirits HAVE. (And which they can also use to cast magic), however, that Odd is what represents your own life and has your memories. So using it to much or having it destroyed would essentially kill a Spirit or make a mage an empty body.

Ok so instead of my normal random comments for this one I’m just gonna say the time gap in re:zero world between season 3 ep 1 and season 1 ep 1 is a little over a year (roughly) which with how quick shit went down is kinda surprising Subaru made it so long after the season 2 finale without a major incident (I’m counting side stories as minor incidents)
