Dawsome released a new synth. Myth is a super deep synthesizer with a lot of different engines and ways to create crazy sounds. It has a bit of everything and using it is surprisingly easy. Dawsome gave me a license for MYTH but they have no say on the content of this video and haven't watched it on advance.

Which of the Pultec emulations sounded better?
It wasn't mentioned, but the Tilt EQ is used to combat ear fatigue from long mixing sessions. When you listen back the next morning and the tonal balance is off, you can fix it with this (so it should be super transparent one, normally)

I love bitwig as a company, but i would love if they would update their sampler with slice features and midi scales features like Cubase.

I love every little thing about this update, the clipper is my favorite, but I think Bitwig might have the best stock compressor now, and the Eqs are surprisingly really great as well.
Agree, is a very unique compressor, different from other stock comps on other DAWs
They really do have the best stock plugins ever, and those three new additions just went the extra mile.
I agree, although I see large cpu spikes when adding compressor+ to a track - anyone else?
Worth it for the clipper alone, it's superb.
Its amazing how Bitwig is evolving! I wish they add an option to enable linear phase filters on the multiband splits so we can use compressor+ as a proper multiband compressor!

Sorry to say, but it's not a multiband compressor. It only has a multiband input detection circuit. The actual compression is single band.
@@AlmerosMusicCodeyeah, Polaris explains that very clearly. Doesn't mean Compressor+ doesn't rule. Man, it's an amazing sound thing. Plus the new EQ

I select all tracks and then while pressing shift I make one bigger, and the rest follow

The new Pultec style EQs are cool, but sounds quite brittle or sharp compared to other emulsions out there which are quite 'smooth' I find.
I find this one more open, the emulations I use are tighter, but not necessarily better or worse
These ARE exciting developments. I wonder if I can artificially increase my superstrat's perceived sustain via that compressor's "LIFT" setting 7:44, I'll have to try that out.

Honestly, bitwig is my baby, even if i use Cubase and Reaper for specific projects. But Bitwig is where the spicy sauce and magic happens
I use Reaper when my client needs it. Otherwise I'm a one DAW man
I'm a DAW slut TBH, only because I treat different DAWs like different instruments. Bitwig is a prime example of how it's basically an advanced power synth wrapped around a DAW. Like, it's hard for me to grasp people who don't use Bitwig for the synths and plugins. Especially the grid, even if you're just using Presets. The presets are godly!@@AlexReidStudios
Compressor seems cool but damn, the multiple bands are a bit confusing. Either way, Super happy to have a glue compressor and soft clipper finally. Auto Gain in chain is also massive.
Yes! The compressor is not too confusing once you get uwed to it, so go for it :)

Why can bigwig add this simple feature bounce to mono track? They are adding all sort of features please add bounce to mono
A mono track will have the same information on left and right, but I wonder, why do you want true mono?

You mean like Bitwig as a plugin? Fuck, I would love that! I go between Cubase, Reaper and Bitwig (with a side dish or FL), and I would having Bitwig a plugin like with FL or the Reason Rack.
@@buckycore i think FL still ships with a plugin version of itself you can use in other daws. but yeah either bitwig as a plugin or their devices as individual plugins
It's a DAW that doesn't allow you to bounce mono tracks, It's very frustrating to me that they added plugins and didn't fix their lack of professional features or their midi implementation which needs a lot of work to be on par with other DAW's, I have no idea what their dev team is thinking but they're clearly delusional.
Honestly curious, if a sound is already mono, why would you need a mono track?
@@AlexReidStudios if the sound is not panned but it's a stereo file then it has two channels in it, I need a mono audio file containing one channel of audio in the file for working on video games and for creating my own wavetables within bitwig, because bitwig itself will only let you use mono wav files as wavetable, does that answer your question brother?
Some people are complaining about the fact that it is not indeed a multiband compressor, but i dont think bitwig ever advertised it as one. Thus said, how about dropping 3 instances of the compressor+ into a multiband FX?
Agree. Still a proper multiband could be great. I know it might be something small but for workflow I prefer to see all bands at the same time instead of using the multiband split
Yeah this is absolutely valid, but people want a multiband dynamics with a nice GUI and an ott preset. I can’t say I blame them, but there’s a bunch of those already, though. Compressor+ is something super unique, and I honestly prefer that.
@@jonasharp3 Strongly agree. Multiband compression is super well covered already, even by purely free VSTs (Cramit by sixthsample for instance)
@AlexReidStudios I think that's a UI concern, instead of a call for yet another device. For instance it would be great if container devices had an option to simultaneously show on the Detail panel one "device lane" per slot.
I just watched a few of your videos and I like the content. I think it would be better if you showed more on screen and less "you". ...just my objective opinion.

@@AlexReidStudiosthe least things bitwig need are devices but more pro features. I have already compressors and eqs and clippers. What I don’t have are professional tools for production and mixing in bitwig.

@@AlexReidStudios for production tools like midi comping, scales, automation clips, native pitch correction, time scale brakes etc.
Mixing. Plugin manager, track lists, versions, mixer busses, vca, create fades from selected channels etc.
Just off the top of my head. I’m sure if I think it through there will be lot more.
