This is a 20w Fiber Laser from ComMarker called the B4. It is an all in one unit that doesn't take up much space. This should engrave a variety of metals and plastics. How will it perform?

I’m the creator of the Azteca Wars design. I’m a big supporter of fanart and though I would prefer the file not be distributed, I would ask for credit/attribution at the very least. (Some people are under the impression the artwork is open source). - Best, David Gonzalez

We are glad to join your project! 🥂
I like the coin and that the laser doesn't just mark it, but actually gets some depth.
thank you for the video! I have been trying to find someone out there that had this unit before backing it. Awesome info!
That is a impressive machine! Great content as always. Quality of the work is good and the detail is great 👍🏻
Thanks bud! Much appreciated 👍
@@TripodsGarage great , is it really 0.01 spot for real ?
Awesome video. I have been on the fence buying this fiber laser and just getting into engraving. I think you have helped me made up my mind and I pulled the trigger and bought it.
Wow! Such a detailed crammed video! Love the grow a leg joke 😂😂. Seems to be a great laser. With such a small campaign, I would think it is more for advertising as well. Keep up the great work 👍
Thanks! There is so much to unpack in doing some of these reviews. I want to show more than others do. I could easily just assemble the machine, then show the engravings, with no details how I got to that point. Figured it was worth the time and effort to give a small crash course on how to use it. Hopefully there are more people like you that appreciate the effort 👍. I slipped that joke in at the last second, unsure if anyone would catch it 😂😂
Nice looking system - thanks for protecting Bear's eyes. I also am gun shy of kickstarter remember the CR6-SE. Will see what it looks like retail
It is a nice machine. Bear lives in the garage with me, his safety is paramount 😉👍! I have backed 6 items since the CR6SE, and all were fine. Thanks for bringing back the fond memories 😂😂. I am also curious about the retail version as well. Thanks for watching and commenting. Time for a Long Island Iced Tea 😉
@@TripodsGarage You can't only have one
Quite informative, thanks John!
Great video John, and yeah that was stupid fast.
Thanks! Love testing them to the limits 😂👍
Any scene of laser marking deserves to be filmed at a million fps ! Ask for the Slomo guys for a collab !
Yeah! I need a good slow motion camera 👍
@@TripodsGarage They have a good one :)
Thanks for the detailed info
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Another great video. Thanks!
Thanks! Was a lot to unpack in this video
Tip on the bolts and grub screws. A small dot of blue locktight would help keep them from backing out over time unless you want them to.
How long recording? Great work!! Congratulations!!
Great video
Love it, but cannot afford it... Great video as always.
They have been coming down in price over the years. Hopefully, it will be your price range soon 👍. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Oh wow.. I would love to do a review of one of these. Sadly I can't afford to purchase it at that price, but I understand why they are asking that much.
This is great content. Do you have a video that goes over the software? Just got a fiber laser and the software is a learning curve. TIA
Do you know anything about the Diaotu B5 Handheld Fiber Laser Marking Machine I saw others saying it is the same laser except half the cost that you can buy on aliexpress?
I for one refuse to to give kickstarter any more money (been burned too many times.)
I get it! I haven’t been burned yet, only a tad bit longer of a delay. That is why I mentioned it at the very beginning of the video. With having such a short campaign, I would think the risks are very low. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Yep, kickstarter should be called samstarter
I'm looking to get into gun engraving and will be engraving on stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, aluminum, and polymer, would this machine be a good option? Would the 30w or 50w be worth the cost difference? Also, I would like to maximize my work area while still being moderately efficient in engraving times, what's the biggest work area that fits that for this machine? Do you know what it would be for the 30w or 50w? Thanks and great video.
please make tutorial how to to clean up what you wrote using a 20 watt fiber laser
Now that you’ve had the laser for a while, do you think the 30W or 50W would be better?
Hello and thank you for your answer I have another question is if 20w laser output is enough to engrave natural crystals like rose quartz, etc. to make jewelry thank you
One day I'll get a Fiber Laser, I just can't afford to spend that kind of money right now. Even the cheap Chinese fiber lasers seem to sell for about $1,000 per 10 watts, and I don't want to start with a 20W and have to upgrade later. Ideally I'd like to get a 50W or 60W Mopa, and those start around $6,000+
Very informative and interesting video..
One thing I didn't understand is why you did the 3 colour thing with the coin and the rotation thing?
I do have a laserpecker 2. But it's not really powerful enough to do some of the things that I want to.
So I'm interested in this item.
Thanks for watching. Rotations will keep the etching consistent. The two other layers where at higher speeds, and higher frequencies. This will actually clean up the darkness from the main engraving. Hope that answers your questions?
You've had this laser for about 4+ months...still like it / recommend it?
Hello....
Hello this laser engraver can engrave natural crystals like rose quartz amethyst etc. to make jewelry in stones and crystals thank you
all of a sudden, my laser turns on but there is no beam. Any ideas on how to fix?
Can it be possible to engrave in Copper, Silver and gold plate by this laser machine?
Out of curiosity, how long did it take to etch each side of that coin?
and all this is with thw20w fiber lase? i wonder what can do the 100w

Hello
When will it be on sale?
Thank you
I sent an email, will let you know when I hear something back.
I got the same one in the mail 5 days ago and I can't even use it the USB had nothing on it so I downloaded ezcad2 and a driver and it says can't find dongle
did u get it figured out?
M1 has better results then coomarker?
Will this cut 1mm brass after a few passes?
To cut 1mm, it would take hundreds of passes
How many passes per side on the star wars coin?
I believe it was around 25ish passes per side?
1st 😜
Can it engrave a gun?
goggles for 200-1400nm? sure.....
that would block the full visible spectrum
