You could just polish every turbo to eliminate the issue. But, then you’d have everyone complaining about the price for polishing a casing that had nothing wrong with it in the first place😂
A most excellent way to prove your point though.
Great demonstration Charlie! Sometimes, destructive testing like this will put those concerns to rest.
Another alternative is to do dye penetrant testing. Apply dye penetrant to the exterior and see if there is a through crack on the inside as a non destructive testing method.
The KC stage 2 on my 6.0 is still 🔥. Hands down, they're tits!
Very good video Charlie, now that's how you show off the Durability of these So Called (Cracked) Garrett Compressor Covers ! And by the way No Issues with the Garrett Cover on my Stage 2 i bought off you a few years back, still working great !
Me to KC2 ! Hitn about 43 psi eveyday for 15000 miles now!
rip the compressor wheel at 0:42 🤣
0:35 lol 😂
Can we buy your KC cover with Jetfire internals for a rebuild?
Youngblood did a good video showing the cracks. You might check them with die. Garret should be ashamed of their terrible castings.
Mr indecisive does a lot of strange things. He has some good ideas but on the whole I'm skeptical. I'll have to look up this dye test, he might be on to something.
