Let's hear it for miss Ann!
This was top notch until that sweet old lady came on, then it turned into one of the best tours I've ever seen. Great job!!
So cool to see Ms Ann still kicking it after 30+ years.
Thanks a lot for sharing your tour with us.
To be honest, I’m not much of a Ludwig guy but after hearing the passion come out of the lady towards the end, I’m starting to think that maybe I need a Ludwig set.
scsdrummer Get one! I love the Neusonic. It sounds good and affordable
I’m a Gretsch drums user but if you’re a studio drummer, you must own the Ludwig LM402 snare. It’s one of the finest snares ever made. Probably the greatest
That sweet ole lady knows her stuff, an she sure nows her drummers.
Go girl, go...
If I was working there, I’d never retire
There's a man that loves his job ! Good for him , best tour of a drum factory ever ! Thank you !
Thank you!
I have soft spot in my heart for Ludwig Drums been playing them since 15 year old I'm 65 now and still playing them after watching this Walkthrough the factory why would any body would want to anything else!
Jesus Lebron Hey man! Glad to know that you watched the video. Can you imagine being me? Travelled almost 11k miles there from Indonesia and saw part of American history!
If you have time, I encourage you to visit their factory and meet beautiful people there!
Thanks!
At some point in my life,I have to get a Supraphonic,it's the most beautiful sounding snare right out the box.♥️🤖⚡
What a special lady you have in Ms ANN, this woman loves what she does and loves the company she works for. This is what a job is all about, enjoying what you do!
I want my drums wrapped by Ms. Annie!!! She has great taste in music!
I might have chosen yamaha maple customs but my next snare will be a supraphonic 100%!!! Maybe even a black beauty!!! Funds permitting of course!!! But after over 40 yrs of playing!!! I wish i had bought more different brands of drums when they were dirt cheap!!! I just admire drums.for their sound and beauty!!! Music makes everything in life better!!!
this is the best factory visit and manufacturing walkthrough on the internet for drums, better than all the DW, Sonor, Tama, Yamaha etc videos out there, well done
DJ88in2003 Thank you so much!
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know a way to log back into an Instagram account?
I was stupid forgot my account password. I love any tricks you can offer me
@Coleman Hugh instablaster =)
@Roland Dustin I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out atm.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Roland Dustin it worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my account :D
The best factory tour ever. Better explained than DW, Gretsch, Sonor, Tama ,Pearl etc. Congrats for the passion, care & love. I 've been a LUDWIG drummer for 54 years straight working non stop and honest never let me down. Sounding and looking great.
My Classic Maple is arriving tomorrow and I am so happy to see this video. It shows how happy and passionate they are about their job and makes me feel even better knowing that they made this and that I purchased it from them.
She's playin "the miracles". I love her.
“On the drums Mr Bun E Carlos”
RRHOF Drumset!!!!!!!
Watching this video brought back some pretty awesome memories. I took this factory tour with my wife and younger kids at the time a few years ago, and it was life changing. I'm 51 and my first exposure to drums were all Ludwig. All of my influences in the 70's were Ludwig players. Most notably, Alex Van Halen. I still love the sound of his drums. I've never played any snare drum that sounds as good as the LM402 Supraphonic. What I find in this video is the same feeling I had when I took the tour...genuine family and love for making drums. Ludwig treated me, my family and the other tour guests as if we were one of their endorsed drummers. They greet you with your name on these electronic boards in the lobby, give you official name tags, and take their time to show you how the drums we apparently love are made. I've owned a beautiful Ludwig Classic Maple in Cherry Wine finish and one of their original oak/maple kits. The classic maple was the best. Like a lot of drummers, I felt the need to change and try other brands, other sounds, but always find my way back to Ludwig. Their sound is purely Ludwig and you miss it when you no longer have it. Snares have been the most frustrating because Ludwig snares are the best in the world. I had them in every year of school, every band, every style, and my high school marching drums. The sweet old lady cannot be matched in whole hearted passion for wrapping the drums. I've never been a huge wrapped shell guy, but seeing her in my tour and seeing her now after 33 years, I believe I will be ordering a sweet wrapped Ludwig Classic Maple very soon and hopefully taking another tour of the factory. I love that Ludwig actually appreciates their customers. It's what matters most to me when you buy something this expensive. Ludwig...a true classic!!! This video knocked it out of the park with regards to the random factory tour videos on the web. It should be the standard for how a factory tour video should be. This video should make anyone who plays or doesn't play Ludwig drums, continue to support or buy for the first time, Ludwig drums.
FireTiger91 Wow! I am speechless. Thank you for all the words! Yes you are right, they put your name on the screen. I can’t wait to come back again sooner or later!
Nice! Alex Van Halen has been my favorite player since I was 8 years old.
I fully enjoyed watching this video and walk through where my beautiful Classic Maple drums were made. A big warm thank you to the sweet lady who did the blue sparkle wrap for this proud Ludwig drummer!
Mak Thank you! Yes Ms Ann is one sweet lady with superb knowledge about drums! Amazing
The smile on the drummers face @ the end of the vid says it all!
Thank you so much for posting this. I have been playing Ludwig for almost 40 years and live in NC but have never taken a tour, had a few chances but couldn't because of prior commitments. I did stop by once and drove around the building and took a few photos (they were closed). So thank you, enjoyed this.
EYEBALL Hi! You are very welcome! You should be proud playing Ludwig Drums because they are amazing. I miss NC, it’s so beautiful 👍🏽
I enjoyed your playing at the end, your smile said it all
Nice that they have Bun E Carlos RRHOF drum kit. Wonder why Bun didn't keep it in his collection?. That Ludwig kit along with the drum kit that Bun E Carlos used at the Budokan concert in 1978, have got to be the most famous kits that Buns ever played
Awesome video. Love the Ludwig story and glad to see it being continued in a fine fashion (maybe better than the hey day in Chicago) in Monroe! Thanks to everyone who contributed to this video.
1:19:45 I fell in love with a 6.5x14 Black Beauty sound in a few blind tests. Back then I didn't even know she existed. Finally got a Black Beauty and never look back!
LUDWIG The most famous name on
drums. I ordered my citrus mod AC
custom kit to the Chicago factory
back in 1970. l am an active LUDWIG drummer for 53 years straight.
Never had any problems. The kit sounds and looks great. 2 24 ×14 ,
1 12×8 , 2 13×9 , 1 14× 10 , 1 16×16 f
1 18×16 and a 5×14 Supra.
Proud to be a LUDWIG drummer.
This is just amazing. Wow. Thank you so much for filming this tour!
Man I'm so excited. One of these days I'll get my hands on Classic Maple. Can't wait to watch this video. My first set ever was a Ludwig Rocker and was responsible for helping make me the drummer I am today. Thanks from New Orleans for all you do in the drumming community.
Hey man! I am pretty sure that you will get it sooner or later! You are very welcome 🙏🏽 All the best from from Indonesia/SW Florida :)
Haha! Love Machine playing in the background of the wrap station! That’s awesome!
So cool. I have played drums for 20+ years got to play some good tours and cool gigs but never got to tour professionally for more than a year at a time and make a living at it. I work currently and off and on as I was touring as a controls tech for a wood trim manufacturing factory where I live. Pretty cool seeing some of the same processes we use being used in drum manufacturing. I work on glue machines and rf machines daily.
Loving the classic Disco music in the background ♥️🤖⚡
It was so bright in there I thought the Aliens were gonna beam him up 🤣 what a cool factory I’d ever go home if I worked here it’s fabulous and miss Ann was super cool 👍
Awesome tour of Ludwig, love the sweetheart wrapping lady!
This is so cool! Thank you.
I always wanted a Ludwid drum set.
Maybe it's time to pull the trigger?
the best drum company ever.
thank you for posting.
This is so great 👍🥁
I feel bad I got my classic maples in a lacquer finish. I want my kit wrapped by her now!!
Robert DiRocco Oh well... lacquer isn’t bad tho
So cool to see where my Neusonics were crafted. Thanks for the video. Cheers
Thank you that was awesome. I was happy to finally see some Bonham Green Sparkle at the end! So cool to see the actual mold used to make his kick too!
Jake Ballard You are very welcome, brother!
Nice Tour!
i always wanted a complete ludwig classic maple kit, but i cannot justify shelling out 1800-2,000bux for a three piece kit without even a snare or any hardware, but i am sure it would sound great.
this is great. The lady who does the wrap deserves to be promoted to A&R immediately.
Jorge Pertuz I guess she loves being in the current job as she’s always excited and proud to talk about her job.
Super cool Ludwig guy! 👍🏼
Great video!
1:05:26 best part of the video:)
Anybody know if Miss Ann is still working? My Ludwigs were made for me in 1987 around the time she started. I'd love to contact her and tell her how much I love them.
I'm looking forward someday that I can get Ludwig Drums 3 Ply Maple Ringo size Termogloss custom made like a 60's set. Wishing , Hoping and a Praying , The world Most Favorite Sound in Drums !!! , The Beat Goes On .
Richard Torres you will someday!! The power of dreams!
This was a really great video, thanks for sharing. I felt like I was on the tour with you!
Thank you for your great words! Glad that you enjoyed it 😊
Es muy bueno lo que hacen excelente trabajo en las baterias la verdad lis felisito Eduardo de Montevideo URUGUAY LATINOAMERICA Saludos y 1 gran abraso fraterno
Curious why a lot of Rock drummers from the mid eighties to early nineties moved away from Ludwig, except Van Halen.
I Love Ludwig Drums
What kind of Maple for the Legacy? There are more than 100 species of Maple. The Boxelder is a Maple tree. Just curious because not all Maples are the same.
This! Was. Amazing!! What a fantastic company. How did you get to do this tour?
We love Ann!
Thanks man! I had a good time in the factory. how did i get to do this tour? Someone referred me to someone in Conn Selmer lol
Interesting that he never did mention where the seamless shells come from. I seem to recall a video of Ludwig “drawing” a shell by making a big bowl and cutting off the bottom. I recall they said they had the technology from making tymp shells. I wonder how and where they do it now.
Billy Rhythm You mean the seamless metal shell?
Bahasa Drum yes. He asked at least twice “where do the shells come from” and didn’t get an answer. I’m guessing Ludwig is outsourcing them from somewhere.
That video is how I got here.
Billy Rhythm Hi Billy, do you have Instagram? I can provide the answer of your question. Please reach me on Instagram “Bahasadrum” thanks!

B stock goes to guitar center and sweet water
I have a dobos ludvig supersensitive 6.5x14 which has an old blue-green plate with sharp edges, and I think it is from 70 or 71, but it does not have a serial number. Does anyone know what it means, otherwise the plate has not been physically touched, it is in factory condition. Regards good people.
When you guys gonna send Terry Keating a new Speed King pedal so us Bonzoluem can can hear it and get honest opinion about the new Speed King?
Awesome 👏👏👏to bad i did not see the old mold
The best drummer in the world played 7 brands and chose Ludwig. Is there any question why?
Jon Moran Nope haha
I've never seen Thomas Lang play a Ludwig kit.
Only the cool people watch this tour
Gak salah memang saya dulu men sub channel ini, berbobot kenyal dan empuk huehue
Mana mainnya skrng jauh bgt ke negri paman sam, khann maen
Sukses selalu brader brader
Ben Sign Wah!
What's the music at the beginning? Awesome video
It’s a free music provided by UA-cam. Thanks for watching!
Khirnyaa! Thanks so much bahasa drum 😭🙏🙏
Mohammad Dary 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I love Ms Ann's enthusiasm and talk of the joy which her work ultimately contributes to. Also think it's cool that at 1:11:33 John Bonham is playing his Ludwigs on Over the Hills and Far Away as the drilling happens. Perfect!
@1:05:50 Emerald Pearl! They are talking about mine!!! 💚🥁💚
You didn’t show the popular pink wrap smh
How about this: Ludwig Maple Syrup
Why is the woman in the tour carrying around a luggage purse?
Very presumptuous to merely show your items available.
Is a drum tuned properly if not resonant top to bottom? If so, why would one have to mark on top which direction it pointed?
@William Fotiou No sir WIlliam, I am not stupid, I am just like you!
@William Fotiou I think you are the smartest guy on the planet!
I love you William, you are brilliant!
@William Fotiou thank you sir, I needs some teachin' from way so excellent folks jus' like you!
Ringo starr drums
Alfred Martin Yassss!!!
I bought one of the first Vistalite kits when they were released. It was absolutely the WORST kit I've ever owned. The bearing edges were so bad they cut the heads. The snare bed was nonexistent. One of the bass drum legs cracked the Vistalite the first night. The only part of that kit I liked was the Speed King. I just can't get behind anything Ludwig does. They show a signed head by Vinnie, but where is Vinnie now? He is a diehard Gretsch guy!
um, circumference...
saving processing time....
Good drums, but the hardware breaks easily..
Semua drum itu di lapis ya bukan di cat?
Ga semua drum di lapis. Ada juga yang dicat atau hanya ditambah Vernis
Background music has fake electronic drums...
Foundationcases lol
Miss Ann👍🏼 Camerawork 👎🏼
M
Cool video , but still not as cool as Gretsch drums !
Dah Like and Subscribe lho yah! Tq buat lengthy detailed videonya.
