Hi!👋 😊 I have a question about using the ProX plugged into my computer. I believe you said it isn’t possible to use it as a “USB Mic”, were you saying there is no native adaptor sold by Saramonic? Or literally not possible to use even if using a 3.5mm-to-USBC adaptor for example. What about using it through a USB interface, like the Behringer UM2, via 1/4” TRS adaptor? TYIA Edit: I just saw a USBC RX for sale? I tried a $20 Bower wireless lav from Walmart to test my concept and both my computer and PS4 recognized it. Would be a shame if this beauty can’t!
At the time, there was no native adapter, but now they have them, which makes this and the newer Blink 500 ProX B2R even better! I love having 1 set of lav mics that works for both cameras and mobile devices.
@@NewLayerSTOKED! Thanks for the fast reply, but also thanks for the video in-general. Cheers!😊 PS. Long shot but I reached out to Saramonic to see if any mutual benefit exists. 🤷♂️
I've just bought this, it was a great price. Any tips for using it out the box, having had a flick through the instructions, looks like i just plug it in and away i can go?
Nice! I would just plug it in and go, and unless you have issues with it, just go with all the defaults. Really the only thing you might adjust is the gain/volume on the transmitters if it seems too quiet or too loud.
@@NewLayer tnx for the reply. The wind sox, cats tail, are only for the main transmitters. How have you found those when outside filming and using them? Shame they're not on the small label mic as well as the black sponge.
Will this wirless mic mute and disable the speaker of smartphone or not ? If it disable or mute the speaker of the smartphone you can not make shorts videos and listen to your voice in snap or youTube or even you can not make live stream
I cover this at the 1:00 mark or so, because it's a big selling point for me. This lightning/USB-C receiver has a headphone jack unlike the vast majority of others out there. Due to Apple restrictions, ANY audio device that plugs in will disable the internal speaker on the phone, because it will be solely using the plugged in device as the audio interface. If the plugged in device doesn't have a speaker built-in, or a headphone port, you will get no audio output at all while it's plugged in. This one at least lets you plug headphones in, so it would work for live streaming, you'd just need to wear headphones. For some this is a benefit, to others, maybe not a full solution. In the future, we may see a device where the receiver that plugs into the phone has an actual speaker on it, but I'm not sure how good that would be due to its tiny size and power limitations of the ports. Hope that helps!
@@NewLayer thank you 🙏 There is wireless mic called Maybesta not mute and disable the speaker but the sound quality is not good and there is no cancellation so I don’t recommend it
@@az21an Interesting! They don't seem to even promote that feature, but for $20, I wouldn't have high hopes, haha. Hopefully we'll one day have one that does the same thing but is high quality!
Thanks for this video I have Saramonic blink 500 Pro B6 & Saramonic blink 500 ProX B6, I would like to give up one of them . What is your advice to me, about which one of them I should give up ?
Hello, Excelente review. If you don't mind me asking this. I have the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro. I connected the receiver to an audio system of a restaurant. The goal was to have the chef speak with the lavalier microphone. (TX and Rx). There was a lot of feedback. Can you suggest what should I do next time to eliminate this feedback? The speakers were in the ceiling as far as I can see. Thanks for your suggestions.
There’s really no way to avoid that except to turn the speakers down, or move the mic closer to the sound source. So he could hold it 6” from his mouth and turn down the gain a lot, or the most fool proof option would be to get a dynamic mic, as they are much better to avoid feedback in live environments.
I just got the original version of these to use as a cheap UA-cam mic when I want something easy and then to monitor my tascam dr10l when I’m shooting interviews
I have yet to finish testing all the ones I have, so I can't answer that quite yet :) I plan to do a bigger video comparing them all, with audio samples, so make sure you're subscribed if you don't want to miss that.
I think you mean 16-bit, because most systems are 24-bit. This system is actually a 16-bit/48Khz, which is the same as some other popular ones like the Comica Audio BoomX-D PRO or the Hollyland Lark M2. I totally get if that's a dealbreaker for some people, but I find that you don't typically need as much editing leeway with lav mics, because the mic doesn't move once you set levels, so there's much less variance in volume compared to a shotgun, etc. throughout the recording. And for me, I use them for content creation, rather than productions, which can be a big deciding factor.
I use a RODECaster Pro II, RODE Procaster, RODE NT-USB+, and a lot more, absolutely love RODE. If they had a native phone receiver, I would be all over it. I simply hate having to use extra rigging and cable to get the block-style receivers hooked up to my phone when I use it.
@@NewLayer it PLUGS in directly to USB-C like in Action 3 , same works for Lightning , / it has internal memory for recording / but I think UCB-C is great & there are a lot more good features there
@@ashotgaziyan8876 It's crazy how little they make that known! Their product pages have no photos of that functionality, and the only mention is a quick line of text. Unfortunately, the 5-5.5 hour battery life is way too little for me to consider 😕

The ProX is better in every way, so I'd definitely keep that version! Better sound, more battery life, better screens, less latency, etc.

I had the original version too, which I also liked!
Can I use this on mixer/power mixer?
Yes, you just may need extra adapters for the proper size depending on what you're using.
Which is the best sounding? Not worrying about cost.

Yes, you can get this in kits with a USB-C or Lightning receiver!
Just get them. Great microphones.
