Thank you! I had no idea how to remove the: paper output tray finished output tray stacker tray or whatever else people call it..... You also made the important point on how to reinstal it, which I would have overlooked!
Great video! All of them, actually. If one of the plastic retaining posts that hold the hinges of the output tray were to break, what would need to be done to fix it? It seems those retainers are under layers of plastic housing. The left hinge won’t stay so the tray hangs. Any ideas? Thanks!
My MG5420 is giving the error The Ink Absorber is almost full. I don't really want to take apart the entire printer. I don't know if you can buy a replacement ink absorber, so I think would be better to just buy a new printer when it gets full. I've had this printer for many years and it was worked well until this error came up
Hi. You will need to reset the ink absorber anyway. Replacing or cleaning pads will not remove the error. I'm trying to find a reset utility for that online, will need more time to search for one. Usually costs $10 to do that. But yeah, save yourself the trouble of replacing or cleaning pads. If you haven't reset it before, there should be enough space for more ink. If you just want to be safe, go ahead and clean them. I will get back to you if I find anything on the reset for your model. If you find something before I do, please share. I'd really appreciate it. If you dont reset it, in a few dozen jobs the printer will show error "ink absorber full" and will not let you print anything. Have a great day!
What's the easiest way to replace the timing strip? I'm having a difficult time cleaning it as it seems to be stained. Can I just take off the sides as shown at 5:30 without taking most of the machine apart?

The yellow cord that goes to the ink cartridge holder has come unplugged. How do I fix this?
