RocKM001 game the fuck on dude, i couldnt have said that better myself, first RPG Series i ever played and definitely responsible for my love of TBRPGs.
The PS2 is pretty much the king of compilations. 3 Midway collections, multiple SNK fighting game collections (the Samurai Shodown one is AWESOME), Intellivision Lives, Atari Anniversary Collection, Activision Anthology, the Mega Man collection, etc. I've made it a point to track them ALL down, too. Also, we've got the Rare Replay coming. JOY!
***** I love tracking down as many compilations as I can and I have the most for PS2 by far (though I have a lot of them on Xbox instead of PS2, or copies for both systems). The main one I'm missing right now that did actually come out in NA is the Capcom Vol 2 one (and I suppose Mega Man X Collection, though it's expensive as fuck). I've seen the Samurai Shodown one around for Wii but it has been too expensive for my taste.
Ponimaju I had to order my PS2 Sam Sho Anthology off of Amazon, I could NOT find it in the wild. It was brand new, though, still sealed, so that was cool. Same with Metal Slug Anthology for the PS2, and that one did cost a pretty penny, even used. Still looking for the Data East collection for the Wii. Another one hard to find in the wild.
When I was young whenever I heard in Space Harrier "Welcome to the Fantasy Zone" I always pictured Fantasy Zone was what was happening on a tiny scale in the grass and stuff while Space Harrier was happening in the sky.
This is one of my favorite episodes so far, selfishly because I think so highly of compilations. I own many of the ones talked about here, with the Taito Legends and Capcom Classics Collection discs being some of my favorites. The Namco Museum discs for the original PlayStation really set the tone for future compilations, with game-specific exhibit halls (filled with artwork, documentation, and even looks at the PCBs) and pretty impressive stat-keeping to go along with decent emulation. Sadly, Namco Museum games lost the "Museum" features upon moving to later platforms. The Arcade's Greatest Hits series of compilation discs for the PlayStation were also pretty good, with extras like developer interviews added to the package. The Midway Collection 2 disc has Moon Patrol on it, which hasn't been seen on consoles since. When this series evolved into Midway Arcade Treasures for Gen6 consoles, we got even more great coin-ops that we hadn't yet seen on previous compilations. There have been other decent compilations as well, including the Activision Anthology for the PS2, Konami Arcade Classics for the PlayStation, and the SEGA Genesis Collection for the PS2. Hopefully, down the road, you might revisit this topic again. Thanks for putting this together!
Peter Skerritt I agree completely. I love compilations, and therefore selfishly love this episode. Also, I do love intellivision compilations just for the opportunity to go back and curse-and-rage-quit SNAFU after 5 minutes!
+Game Sack Dave Hi Dave, did you ever find out who Golden Axe was downgraded to 1player? 💘 the show. Hoping for a dedicated special on the SuperGrafx. Lee, UK.
[Coury] I used to buy a lot more compilations than I do now. One thing that irked me is that a lot of them used to put an ugly anti aliasing softening filter over the whole thing. Mega Man Anniversary Collection did this. Thankfully, they fixed those issues with the Mega Man X collection - several of the games on that collection actually run in 240p, which is great. That sort of thing is usually only saved for the M2 collections (like the Fantasy Zone one seen in this ep).
i guess im asking randomly but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Colten Coleman thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.

Ruko Michiharu Before that, they should really do an episode on the Sega SG 1000 and SG 1000 II (probably combine the two) along with a Genesis episode. Then they can be done with Sega and move onto doing episodes based on the Nintendo consoles (they've already got the N64 and Gamecube done).

MikkoLovesGaming Yeah, the GBA is indeed pretty underrated... I mean, the GBA is the handheld that came the closest to bringing the arcade experience on-the-go! It was like a portable SNES only MUCH more powerful! And almost nobody talks about it, and when they do, they're usually either talking about the mainstream games that everybody already played, or the licensed kids games >-> (you know, exactly the kind of game you should avoid on GBA)
Another great episode. I apologize, but I thought you guys were hitting the bottom of the barrel with a compilation episode. But I shouldn't have doubted you since was this was, for me, one of your most enjoyable. A thoughtful, nuanced look at the technical and aesthetic qualities of a few I wasnt aware of. Awesome work. Couple notes. The PSP Capcom collection didnt seem to have that darkness issue. Also the Sega CD Revenge of Shinobi yell may be the best thing I've ever heard.
Forgotten Worlds is amazing on the Capcom compilation as a dual stick shooter. Game Compilations are some of my favourite things to collect, and I have a ton of them for 6th gen consoles (especially the PS2). I can't get enough of them.
I bought Taito Legends 1 when otherwise crappy GameStop was clearing out Xbox inventory. I snagged it for 47 cents. So in total, I paid less than two cents per game on that collection. One of the only times I've ever walked into a GameStop and left _satisfied_.
Game Sack Dave Absolutely. I seldom go into GameStop partly because they don't sell retro and also because their prices are usually so much higher than elsewhere, but that was a real memorable exception. Speaking of Taito Legends 1, what's your favorite game on the collection? For me, I'd say Zoo Keeper. It reminds me of a 2600 game but way faster. It's also got amazing replay value. Of course Bubble Bobble New Zealand Story and Space Invaders Part 2 are great as well. Even the sub game, Battle Shark is a lot of fun.
Sonic Gems NTSC-J for PS2 rocked me world .. fired it up through component on my CRT display outside which does not even have progressive scan ! And absolutely blew me awey
5:38 Taito was a peanut butter and vodka vending machine manufacturer before getting into game development?!? I can't even wrap my brain around that right now.
Not to sound like I'm fishing for upvotes but I do have to say that Game Sack is by far the most under-rated series I've seen on the internet. The episodes are informative and fun to watch. There always is a great deal of effort put into research and presentation. The hosts are polite and easy to listen to. I'd give you all the subs in the China Sea if I could.
Konami Classics Vol. 1 and 2, Capcom Digital Collection, Midway Arcade Origins, Xbox Live Arcade unplugged, Xbox live arcade compilation Disc., Dreamcast Collection. All on 360, go nuts, you'll have a personal arcade in no time.
I want to personally thank you guys for taking the time make this awesome youtube show! I've learned about so many great games and interesting game systems. Because of you guys, I have a renewed interest retro games and a great appreciation for it. You guys are funny, informative and very entertaining. So, allow me raise my glass and toast to Joe and Dave. May your game discs never skip and your game cart never glitch! Cheers guys!
I absolutely love classic game compilations, great episode! Unfortunately there has been much fewer of them in the last few years since many publishers would rather sell each game individually as a digital download. But whenever a new compilation is released it makes me super happy. Midway Arcade Origins on PS3 and 360 was a wonderful collection and the E3 announcement for Rare Replay actually made me more excited than the FF7 Remake, Fallout 4 and The Last Guardian
As a fighting game, SNK AND feudal Japan fan, I gotta give a shout-out to the Samurai Shodown Anthology for PS2, Wii and PSP. It unfortunately doesn't include Samurai Shodown V Special, which from all I've gathered tends to be regarded as the very best in the series and based on my experience playing it for my channel, I find that hard to argue, but 6 Samurai Shodown games is nothing to sneeze at.
Game Sack has been the background music/soundtrack to my life for the past week. Seriously, I have gone from never hearing of this "show" to seeing 100+ episodes in no time flat. You guys should be on tv....
Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection is worth a look. I played the 360 version and really enjoyed it (especially FunHouse and Medieval Madness). There was also an earlier generation Gottlieb Collection by the same developers.
I'm all for compilations (not complications) so this episode is really up my alley (though I love every episode of Game Sack). I either own some of these collections, or I will keep some titles in mind for a future purchase.
What a change these guys are from the screaming foul mouthed idiots you get on UA-cam nowadays, Refreshingly professional and very knowledgable, please keep it up .
Don't forget the Activision and Atari collections! Or Intellivision. Or the Ultima and Wizardry collections. Irem Arcade hits. Data East collection. The Tecmo collection on the Xbox. Lucasarts Archives! The Konami contra and Castlevania compilation.
Game Sack From what I heard, there's a midway arcade collection for PS3 and 360 that includes almost all the games in the two PS2 versions. So, if you don't have the PS2 versions, maybe just get the PS360 instead.
CaptainRufus As much as I love the Ultima and Wizardry collections I doubt Game Sack would cover them. They're not really into the whole retro-PC gaming scene.
My favorite compilation (and likely all time favorite cartridge or disc) is Konami Collectors Series: Arcade Advanced for the GBA. Features my all time favorite game (Gyruss), the six games are high quality, and the games aren't emulated but instead rewritten from scratch with new features like multiplayer. It's on many people's GBA essentials list, and it's pretty cheap to get (usually between $3-6). Worth every penny.
Actually, I'll also add the Konami Arcade Classics disc for the original PlayStation as my favorite too. Not only a great compilation of ported Konami arcade greats from the 80's, but also had an arcade release! It's known as Konami 80's AC Special in the arcades. It was also released in Japan as Konami 80's Arcade Gallery for both arcade and PS1.
Hi GameSack, I recently subscribed to your channel as well, and i got to say, IT WAS AWESOME!. A lot of your episode brings nostalgia to me when I was a kid. The presentation was fantastic, your hardware description was awesome for your console episodes, and I just love your team. Thanks for bringing us this wonderful channel. PS: My brother and friends has recently subscribed to GameSack as well because i have shown them a episode of Game Sack, and every week we are waiting for a new episode.
Excellent episode. I suggest you try Capcom Generations for Saturn and PlayStation. They're not made by Digital Eclipse. Capcom themselves made the several ports. I think they are six discs on total. They released them only in Japan. However, the second compilation of Capcom Classics for PSP are actually some of those discs stitched together by Capcom. They're beautiful. The second disc is an enhanced port of the three makaimura games. The SNES game was reprogrammed and they've thrown the slowdowns away; ghosts 'n goblins is finally playable and ghouls 'n ghosts is sharp and crisp. All discs have extras like dip switches and remixed soundtracks. Highly recommended.
Thank you guys so much for this. I remember playing a certain arcade game so much when I was 6-7 years old, but I never could find out what game it was in my later years. Now, I can relive all of the fun I had playing Rastan when I was little! :)
You guys do a fantastic job. Keep it going . I haven't seen a decent video gaming show since GamesMaster which was shown on channel 4 in the UK back in the 90s. Of course back then it was the saga vs Nintendo war. The show was fantastic. What I love about you guys is that your always bringing the nostalgia back !
I just wanted to say that I love you guys, and you keep getting better and better. My favorite gaming channel, by far, and I watch a ton of them. Later, guys!
What Dave said during the end skit is what I thought seeing a lot of the expensive original games being packed into one.I guess if you're strapped for cash and still want to experience these old gems, then the compilations would be a viable choice
Jungle Hunt! I have very fond memories of that game that I might have never accessed again without your help. :D It's impossible to tell just from watching a few seconds of gameplay, but it looks like it has aged strangely well, in a sense.
My biggest beef with the Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii is that it is not progressive scan. On a CRT it looks fine, but on an LCD TV it looks sooo blurry. If they had made it 480P (which Wii game programmers told me was very easy to do), it would have looked SO crisp :(
Game Sack I love the idea of compilations, but this is illustrative of the reasons I also loathe them: you think you're finally getting the complete collection, with all the best versions, but then there are some (small or big) issues that ruin it for a large part. For example: I bought Command & Conquer: The First Decade right when it came out in 2006. By then everybody had Windows, nobody was using DOS anymore. Yet they did NOT include Command & Conquer Gold, the SVGA Windows version of the game. You had to make do with the lower res DOS version. Really? Really?!?!
I never even noticed that. I mean now that you mention it, it is blurry especially compared to the PS2 version on component (which I just played recently). Metal Slug is one of my favorite games series ever!
jlo138 It will probably look alright on a CRT TV, as those are interlaced just as the Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii is... but I refuse to hook up my Wii to a CRT TV just for one game :(
ApemanMonkey EVERY game from an sd console is gonna look a million times better on a crt...feeding sd signal into a high def monitor is nothing short of a sin against nature, decency and common sense...
Another great episode! I like the Data East Arcade Classics compilation for the Wii. Lots of variety in the games. A little hard to find, but well worth it!
This episode gave me nostalgia for the Genesis "sega six pack" with the first songic, bejeweled, super hang-on, revenge of shinobi, golden axe, and streets of rage. :) I miss those times. Wow... all those bad sfx's
I remember I bought Sonic's Mega Collection a while ago and it single-handedly made me appreciate Sega. I was never a Sega guy ever, grew up a Nintendo kid had played a Genesis only a handful of times at friends places or relatives places. Saw this game for thirty bucks one time near Christmas and picked it up with gift money and was not disappointed. Made me realize I missed out back in the day. I especially liked the Phantasy Star games since I'm an RPG fan.
I bet the Golden Axe 2 player thing has to do with a combination of increased memory usage for the larger voice samples and some limitation with how the game was programmed that the team didn't have the time or resources to fix. They may not have even had the source code to the original as game assets were often just thrown away after development back in those days.
Thanks a lot for mentioning the game Dragon Buster. I was searching for this game for many years, because I played it in my childhood and nobody else remembered it. Now I found it by accident :D.
Turning into a zombie in Metal Slug 3 is the best part in the game. I like it because you think that you just lost a life by getting killed by a zombie in the level but nope you're still going but as a zombie.
Mega Man Classic Collection on PS2 is great! Mega Man Classic Collection on Gamecube is awful. On that version, they made the B button jump and the A button shoot. Muscle memory makes it unplayable.
Meow Oh come on! It doesn't take that freaking long to get used to. You know, if it was really unplayable on the GC, critics would be panning it across the board. They didn't. They all noted that, although the button swapping sucks, they never said the whole thing was bad.
I've been playing Mega Man my whole life, so the controls are pretty firmly engrained in my brain. And honestly I don't WANT to get used to the reversed controls, because it'll interphere with playing the originals. When I die in-game, I want to think "Ugh, I messed up," not "Ugh, I forgot which controller I was holding for a second." Also, why were you so hurt by what I said? Did you develop that compilation or something?
Meow Look, I just think that version gets a FAR more flak than it should when in reality, there are FAR worse (I mean, even TVTropes notes that the GC version of MMAC isn't terrible... despite putting it on the Porting Disaster page for whatever reason) ports/emulations, like Sonic Adventure on PC or Genesis on GBA. Besides, swapping controls doesn't entirely affect games quality as long as it's still playable, does it? EDIT: An Amazon review brought an interesting point once you consider that the rapid fire (or rather, burst fire) button is the Y button, which is just above the A button.
Meow I absolutely 100% agree with you! The reversing of the buttons in the Gamecube version made it ALMOST unplayable. I can remember thinking to myself, "What in the world were they thinking?!" Like I get it, the A button on the GC controller is enormous as compared to the B button, but WHO THOUGHT that it was a good idea to swap the buttons?! I was never able to play it that way. I used the B button to jump, and i think my index finger on the X button to fire. :/
You guys are the best, love every video you do! Keep up the great work. Watching this has been the best way to end my 30th birthday :D Thank you so much for another outstanding video.
Mega Man Anniversary Collection on PS2 Gradius Collection on PSP Parodius Portable on PSP (Japan only) Twinbee Portable on PSP (Japan only) Salamander Portable on PSP (Japan only) Street Fighter Alpha Anthology on PS2 Sonic Mega Collection on GCN or the Collection Plus on PS2 King of Fighters Orochi Saga on PS2 Super Mario All-Stars on SNES Power Stone Collection on PSP, the sequel originally on Dreamcast is rather expensive Ratchet and Clank Collection on PS3 Jak and Daxter Collection on PS3 Some are pretty cheap, others are getting rather pricey.
the Sonic's Collection is just called the SEGA Mega drive ultimate collection over here... better name i think ;) i never liked the name genesis really, makes me think of christianity and phil collins... lol
ashfury I like the name Mega Drive better as well; anything with the word "Mega" in it is powerful, plus the name seems to relate more to gaming. As the band Genesis goes, I really like "Invisible Touch':-)
My favorite collection is the MGS HD Collection. Was so extremely hyped when it first got announced and i still love it every bit as much. Own it on 360 and PS Vita. Also last week i picked up a used copy of God of War Collection Volume 1 and Devil May Cry HD Collection. Both good collections for some of the very best PS2 games.
Vince Pavey I modded my Wii specifically to get around these typical Nintendo-fuckups. I'm probably gonna have to do the same thing to my Wii U in the future because for some reason Nintendo thought it was smart to make a console region-locked in the 2010s.
Like Dave, my favorite compilations are the Taito Legends discs. I probably spent more time playing those than I did with actual PS2 games. I have to say I really like the Capcom Classics Collections as well. It would have been nice to see Three Wonders get a mention, as that's one of my favorite games in the collection that often seems to be overlooked.
Please do more of these! I love compilation discs and find that it is sometimes the easiest way for people with limited space and money like myself to collect older titles. And with Rare Replay coming out in August I have become interested in these titles all over again. :)
I like these all, but one of my favorites (although I don't know if this counts as a "video game" compilation) is The Pinball Arcade, which came out on a variety of consoles, PC's and mobile devices. Every month they release a full 3D polygon recreation of an old pinball machine digitally for you to download, with some real classics like Twilight Zone, Medieval Madness, The Addams Family, Attack From Mars, Taxi, No Good Gofers, and many more!
Great video - I love well done compilation releases. Konami released a collection of their arcade games on the DS of all systems that's pretty decent. It puts the original arcade instruction artwork on the bottom screen as you play which is neat.
For compilation games I would recommend checking these ones out: Midway Arcade Origins (PS3, Xbox 360) 6-Pak (Genesis) Activision Anthology (PS2, GBA) EA Replay (PSP) Mega Man Anniversary Collection (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube) Sonic Jam (Sega Saturn) Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii) Super Mario All-Stars (SNES, Wii) The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (Gamecube) Bit.Trip Complete (Wii) Atari Anthology (PS2, Xbox)
Really great episode and with all the compilations available you can easily get another two or three episodes out of this topic. For an idea on a future episode how about looking at games that have never gotten a re-release due to copyright issues (that are not licensed like movie games and such) and cover what is keeping the game from getting a second release or remake? (such as the publisher going out of business or the IP having multiple owners who can't agree on a re-release)
I got a ton of fun out of the Activision Anthology compilation on the PS2. Lots of fun games and a lot of cool ways to play them. Heck, even had a time-appropriate soundtrack for the menu screens!
Great vid, guys :)! Some of my favorite game compilations are Super Mario All-Stars (SNES), Sonic Mega Collection (Gamecube), Sonic Gems Collection (Gamecube), Sonic Classic Collection (DS), Midway Arcade Treasures Extended Play (PSP), Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (PS3) and the PS1 Namco Museum games.

Of course Bubble Bobble New Zealand Story and Space Invaders Part 2 are great as well. Even the sub game, Battle Shark is a lot of fun.
Satoshi Matrix Man, score!
Satoshi Matrix
I don't know if I have a favorite as there are so many great games on there. I would have to put a lot of thought into that question.
what a great deal
Sonic Gems NTSC-J for PS2 rocked me world .. fired it up through component on my CRT display outside which does not even have progressive scan ! And absolutely blew me awey
5:38 Taito was a peanut butter and vodka vending machine manufacturer before getting into game development?!? I can't even wrap my brain around that right now.
Ha! Nice catch.
LeviathanRX Why Thank You very much.
Holy shit, I remember Taito Legends on the original Xbox, playing it when I was just six or seven. Used to play Continental Circus all the damn time.
Are you still alive?
If you don't care much about the collecting aspect and you don't have much money to spend, compilations are the way to go!
18:47 Looks Like Kirby was swallowing something from the wrong end.
Game Sack has been the background music/soundtrack to my life for the past week. Seriously, I have gone from never hearing of this "show" to seeing 100+ episodes in no time flat.
You guys should be on tv....
i really like my Castlevania Double Pack: Aria of Sorrow / Harmony of Dissonance pack on gba (perfect for my gba micro).
Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection is worth a look. I played the 360 version and really enjoyed it (especially FunHouse and Medieval Madness). There was also an earlier generation Gottlieb Collection by the same developers.
I had plans to sleep but then GameSack and HappyConsoleGamer both uploaded half hour episodes. Fuck sleeping.
The PSX Namco Museums were brilliant. I think I spent as much time walking around the virtual museum as I did playing the games!
Going with the theme, have you guys thought about doing a compilation of the best sketches you made for end of episodes of Game Sack?
I'm all for compilations (not complications) so this episode is really up my alley (though I love every episode of Game Sack). I either own some of these collections, or I will keep some titles in mind for a future purchase.
What a change these guys are from the screaming foul mouthed idiots you get on UA-cam nowadays,
Refreshingly professional and very knowledgable, please keep it up .
Another episode . Perfect way to start father's day.
Great episode, but I saw that you didn't mention the three Midway Arcade Classics discs for the PS2. Maybe in another episode?
Scott McVay Maybe!
Don't forget the Activision and Atari collections! Or Intellivision. Or the Ultima and Wizardry collections. Irem Arcade hits. Data East collection. The Tecmo collection on the Xbox. Lucasarts Archives! The Konami contra and Castlevania compilation.
Game Sack
From what I heard, there's a midway arcade collection for PS3 and 360 that includes almost all the games in the two PS2 versions. So, if you don't have the PS2 versions, maybe just get the PS360 instead.
The ps3/360 version is called Midway Arcade Origins
Thank you! This is nice to hear and we appreciate it.
Game Sack Dave thanks again game sack. My apologies for my lame english. Much respect from the philippines and we love your videos.
*trawls through E3 videos in sub box*
Ooh a new game sack!
*is happy*
Thank you guys so much for this. I remember playing a certain arcade game so much when I was 6-7 years old, but I never could find out what game it was in my later years.
Now, I can relive all of the fun I had playing Rastan when I was little! :)
Great episode again!
Thanks!
I love how the opening bit to each of these episodes is just a TAD BIT awkward each time. But not TOO awkward. It's just right :D
Wish Konami and Capcom would do a scrolling beat em up collection!
What about midways arcade classics? Those were awesome collections
patrick thompson Oh yeah, they forgot that one.
I just wanted to say that I love you guys, and you keep getting better and better. My favorite gaming channel, by far, and I watch a ton of them.
Later, guys!
FireteamYogurt Thank You!
I love Game Sack
What Dave said during the end skit is what I thought seeing a lot of the expensive original games being packed into one.I guess if you're strapped for cash and still want to experience these old gems, then the compilations would be a viable choice
Great 2001 Theme Shirt
Jungle Hunt! I have very fond memories of that game that I might have never accessed again without your help. :D It's impossible to tell just from watching a few seconds of gameplay, but it looks like it has aged strangely well, in a sense.
My biggest beef with the Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii is that it is not progressive scan. On a CRT it looks fine, but on an LCD TV it looks sooo blurry. If they had made it 480P (which Wii game programmers told me was very easy to do), it would have looked SO crisp :(
ApemanMonkey Yep! One of the few Wii games that run in 480i only and we found out that bit of loveliness while we were recording the footage.
Flamadiddle Right! I still turn on my Genesis every once in a while to play that. (Columns instead of Bejeweled though)
*Mentions HD Loader on PS2*
I swelled with PS2 modding pride.
I bet the Golden Axe 2 player thing has to do with a combination of increased memory usage for the larger voice samples and some limitation with how the game was programmed that the team didn't have the time or resources to fix. They may not have even had the source code to the original as game assets were often just thrown away after development back in those days.
He guys please check out midways arcade treasures and the mega man anniversary collection. Great episode BTW!
goemon74 Yep, definitely gotta check those out.
Haha I like it how every episode without fail, Dave has the same look in the opening that's like"Yeah, that's right! We're doing this!"
Tecmo Classics for the X-Box.
Thanks a lot for mentioning the game Dragon Buster. I was searching for this game for many years, because I played it in my childhood and nobody else remembered it. Now I found it by accident :D.
try data east arcade classics for the nintendo wii its rare
Thanks for Keepn'on Guys. love the show.
Super Mario All Stars? The original compilation pack.
BlueBlastoise True but they’re all remakes
Turning into a zombie in Metal Slug 3 is the best part in the game. I like it because you think that you just lost a life by getting killed by a zombie in the level but nope you're still going but as a zombie.
gonna stay subbed since im under 231
8-Bit Eric you gonna stay subbed to stay relevant.... jk eric.... u r never slippin F Billy ;D
matt fahringer
why are you so angry?
may be he or she jealous with your hot body
matt fahringer
lol u read wrong. i talk to everyone stop spreading nonsense on the internet.
*****
lol where do you get this info from?
You guys are running good with the last few episodes. Well done.
When I die in-game, I want to think "Ugh, I messed up," not "Ugh, I forgot which controller I was holding for a second."
Also, why were you so hurt by what I said?
Meow you can change the buttons i think
You guys are the best, love every video you do! Keep up the great work. Watching this has been the best way to end my 30th birthday :D Thank you so much for another outstanding video.
Philip Woodiwiss Thanks and Happy 30th!!
Mega Man Anniversary Collection on PS2
Gradius Collection on PSP
Parodius Portable on PSP (Japan only)
Twinbee Portable on PSP (Japan only)
Salamander Portable on PSP (Japan only)
Street Fighter Alpha Anthology on PS2
Sonic Mega Collection on GCN or the Collection Plus on PS2
King of Fighters Orochi Saga on PS2
Super Mario All-Stars on SNES
Power Stone Collection on PSP, the sequel originally on Dreamcast is rather expensive
Ratchet and Clank Collection on PS3
Jak and Daxter Collection on PS3
Some are pretty cheap, others are getting rather pricey.
Another fantastic episode! Game Sack is an amazing show!
the Sonic's Collection is just called the SEGA Mega drive ultimate collection over here... better name i think ;) i never liked the name genesis really, makes me think of christianity and phil collins... lol
SidiousRed Early Genesis (when they still had Peter Gabriel) is pretty goddamn awesome, you should check it out if you like 60s/70s prog.
Just hearing the name Mega Drive, you know it's gonna be awesome, compared to Genesis.
ashfury I like the name Mega Drive better as well; anything with the word "Mega" in it is powerful, plus the name seems to relate more to gaming. As the band Genesis goes, I really like "Invisible Touch':-)
SidiousRed When I was a child I thought that the American people named Mega Drive as Genesis because so many of them were Christians. :D
I'm still mad that Nintendo never brought the Kirby collection on the Wii to the UK.
Vince Pavey I modded my Wii specifically to get around these typical Nintendo-fuckups.
I'm probably gonna have to do the same thing to my Wii U in the future because for some reason Nintendo thought it was smart to make a console region-locked in the 2010s.
My favorite compilation is the first Taito Museum, if only every collection could have been that great !
Poor Joe. Dave sometimes is such a jerk >.
jakescukobyte He'll get over it.
Best part of the last two weeks. Thanks guys!
Always loved 6-Pak for the Genesis. Love the show guys. Keep up the good work!
Great video - I love well done compilation releases. Konami released a collection of their arcade games on the DS of all systems that's pretty decent. It puts the original arcade instruction artwork on the bottom screen as you play which is neat.
For compilation games I would recommend checking these ones out:
Midway Arcade Origins (PS3, Xbox 360)
6-Pak (Genesis)
Activision Anthology (PS2, GBA)
EA Replay (PSP)
Mega Man Anniversary Collection (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube)
Sonic Jam (Sega Saturn)
Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii)
Super Mario All-Stars (SNES, Wii)
The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (Gamecube)
Bit.Trip Complete (Wii)
Atari Anthology (PS2, Xbox)
the Kirby museum lollipop factoid...it makes sense when you consider what item Kirby usually eats in the series to give himself invincibility
I really enjoy Capcom Collection Volume 2 just for all the sidescrolling beat em ups. Thanks guys for making more videos recently.
Nice episode!! I definitely want the second part! Keep the good work guys, you are awesome.
Great episode, long life to the gamer couple !
thank you gamesack , for this amazing video , and god bless you both for the hard work you put into this , you still No1 in retro , keep up
Josph Ok Thanks!
After initially not being particularly interested in Game Sack, I'm now a subscriber after seeing them on The Video Game Years by Retroware.
Rastan level 1 music is a childhood favorite. Brings back memories of sleepovers and videogame marathon sessions.
Midway Arcade Treasures love those compilations, full of great classic arcade hits.
Great episode, guys. I always learn about new games I need to try on Game Sack.
Was playing the Sega Genesis Collection PSP on my Vita and thinking a compilations episode would be great and here it is!
Great video guys! Really enjoy your work. This response is coming right up the road from you guys in Greeley!
I was just thinking about how I wanted a new episode.. thanks guys
I got a ton of fun out of the Activision Anthology compilation on the PS2. Lots of fun games and a lot of cool ways to play them. Heck, even had a time-appropriate soundtrack for the menu screens!
Thanks guys. Much appreciated!
Great vid, guys :)!
Some of my favorite game compilations are Super Mario All-Stars (SNES), Sonic Mega Collection (Gamecube), Sonic Gems Collection (Gamecube), Sonic Classic Collection (DS), Midway Arcade Treasures Extended Play (PSP), Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (PS3) and the PS1 Namco Museum games.
Awesome episode, and yes, Taitos collections are great.
Check out Tecmo Classic Arcade (6:th generation)
BTW thanks for this great video, one of my faves, as I adore classic game compilations.
I never even noticed Golden Axe had multiplayer removed, what a deep burn. Dad and I played columns for hours though :D. Thank you guys.
Great episode, guys. I watched it 375,000 times so far!
