a great soldering iron but it was nearly impossible to find at the regular low price. Took 6 months !
Can I ask where you got it from? All of my searches show this is more than double the price he quoted
@@GG-kc6ie from pinecil directly
you have to wait a while for a drop
this is highlight reel, and we're about to show you the best recent clips from around the soldering world
Bought the iron after I saw your article, no regrets. I wish this existed a year or two ago, wouldn't have gotten a hakko.
It did exist. And the TS100 before that (which was a product made by e-design/Miniware also in China, Pinecil essentially copied their product, even same firmware)
@@TylrVncnt yeah, but those are more expensive (compared to the Pinecil MSRP).
I was actually looking into getting this a week ago. This video came just in time...
Never thought there was a need for smart soldering iron.
Temperature control
Temperature control, countering heat loss, safety features etc etc
Is it in stock anywhere?
I just tried it. It can get hot using a phone charger. I already bought a tool-battery adapter so it can get more power.
I just hate how fast is cools down. I want it to stay hot an it has to be pressed repeatably.
Where it is at 26$? I see at least 50$ everywhere
Me also. Almost $50
AliExpress AliExpress
Can u desaulder stuff with it??
You seem to have the geprc rc2 which is a reskinned pinecil?
but what´s the generic model or where can we buy it?
the ts80 usb c portable soldering iron has been my go-to one, replacing the earlier version with the micro usb port. after getting the pine sol, i wasn’t as impressed. it was in many ways much bulkier and harder to pack into a portable kit than the ts80. so the pine soldering iron has been my back up one but i end up hardly ever using it. the pine one does not fold up as neat and pack away. it’s more of a chore to carry around, even with that third party 3d printed case with the ball bearings holder. bulkier than the ts80 overall.
The TS80 (and especially the newer TS80p which can handle higher power over USB-C PD) is a great iron in an awesome form factor
How did you get a transparent Pinecil V2?
People make clean and custom shells for it
Grosses Kino! Ich setze mich ins gemachte Nest indem ich den TS100 kopieren und erfinde somit das Rad neu! Respekt
I got one for 9
Yay Chris!
I get it, it's a short so you can't go into great detail... So you say it's nimble and efficient, compared to what? It's smaller, but it still gets to the same temps as a larger iron? It has advanced features, but you flit thru them without explaining even one as an example. You say how much you like it but....
WTF is "retro clear"? 🤨 Imagination Blue, Funny Green, Nonsense Bronze. 😒
Clear plastic is retro style that is getting trendy again. You didnt know?
WHAT IS THE WATTAGE IF NOT AT LEAST 60 THEN IT IS WORTHLESS
