Newsletters can be big business. In October 2020, Insider Inc. bought a majority stake in the ‘Morning Brew’ newsletter for a reported $75M. And it started a trend. In the months after, Newsette announced they had over $6M in annual revenue. More newsletters, like MilkRoad, Ladders, and ThePeak, all exited. So how is a list of emails worth millions of dollars? And why are companies paying so much to buy them?

Thanks man. You're doing great work with the newsletter info.
Thanks for sharing this
Hey - thanks that was fun and educational. For a 3 minute breakdown take a look at explaining the cost of BBQ Brisket in Texas! (Which I just read on FB compliments of The Hustle.) Seems like something that could be used to explain a lot of restaurant pricing anywhere in the country. (I just paid $30 for a pizza and thought - "Really?") Now st least the BBQ makes sense.
I don't even check my emails anymore. Pure ads on there
Some (dare I say most) newsletters don’t really add value; but the ones that do are killer, and they’ve become a habit to read.

Man... You must have subscribed to a wrong business. Find the business that provide real value that you want to get.
You need to create a wrap video on your GPT newsletter case study. You left us hanging with 7 days left. We were left wondering what were the final numbers.
Exactly!!
Nice!
The hustle is typically the only one I read (most of the time) Caya! You’re super cool! 😍
I hear those guys from the Hustle know what they’re doing 😬

We think Caya is super cool too - should we start a fan club?
So, people pay to get spammed daily and have their email addresses sold out to millions of other spammers/scammers?
Do you pay for newsletter?
I only read two newsletters and I've never paid for them.
