@Becky Becks you're very welcome I'm glad you enjoyed them 💖 u should definitely try the Cadbury Flake biscuits I posted Wednesday u might enjoy them😊but I really appreciate the feedback 🌹
Great recipe, just a quick question. How many biscuits does the recipe makes, and can you give measurements for a 5lites container? Thank you very much.👍
I tried this recipe yesterday - I live in the States & used corn flour (as per the recipe) but it’s very grainy and yellow. I think it’s corn starch used in this recipe (Maziena back in South Africa) The dough was crumbly and I had to use a cookie cutter (couldn’t pipe it) Will try with corn starch next time.
Yes In south Africa it's called Maziena but another name in south Africa its Corn flour but here it's a white powder maybe it's different in the states
Make sure your dough is not to soft, never happened to me using this recipe so not sure, also make sure your measurements for flour and butter is correct by using a scale when measuring butter.
Hey there, Lopke from SA. Tried this recipe and it came out amazing. Thanks so much for sharing. You might have already answered this already, but can your refrigerate/freeze this dough?
Thank you for the feedback if u planning on piping then I don't recommend refrigeration or freezing because dough won't be as soft to pipe but if u do refrigerate then I'm sure u can use a cookie cutter but I do have a shortbread Recipe u can freeze I will link it below ua-cam.com/video/qPNYXdVn_xc/v-deo.html

It might be but u could always just roll it out and cut with cookie cutter,I will be posting another cookie recipe tomorrow some eid inspo that's a bit easier no piping so keep a look out😊
I tried this recipe today, my first time using piping bag 🤦♀️🤦♀️ it showed me flames Gawa 🙆♀️. The dough could not come out, i tried and tried nothing came out. I ended up using rolling pin and cookie cutter. I'm so disappointed, i thought i was gonna nail it 🙈🙈🙈.
Hi if the dough couldn't come out either your nozzle is to small or u added to much flour so dough is to stiff, your dough should be super soft not stiff, try measuring your flour correctly in measuring cups, never press your flour down in cups, its should always be loosely in cup, also the reason I say your dough might be to stiff is because u would never be able to roll it out with rolling pin, next time try adding some oil if it's to stiff.
Slms. I use a measuring cup is this correct. Also mine always is too hard to pipe lol i had to order a large nazzle...i even used a dough press which pressing out shapes which is amazing and so neat too.
I said cups because that's how we measure in South Africa any one can Google these days a cup of flour is 250 ml I'm sure everyone can afford a set of cake measuring cups but if u are using a scale then 1 cup is 120-125g so no I did not give wrong measurements, also if u read some of the comments u will see people that tried the recipe had no problem piping the cookies.
