Personally, this is the first interesting metal release in a long long time. Never heard of these guys, but each track of the album is melodic, atmospheric, and catchy without wankery. Love this!!! well done
You need to listen to their first three albums out of the 90's (the 4th is somewhat weaker) - and also listen to the lead singer's other band: Dead Soul Tribe, esp. the albums "The January Tree", "A Murder of Crows", and even more so the last: "A lullaby for the devil". It takes a couple listens per album to really appreciate.
i'm speechless... incredible. I've started to listen Psychotic Waltz less than year ago(i'm 22), and i realize what this band has no analog. This song is gold, and in my opinion i think this is gonna be one of the best album of the year.
We're the same age bro, I just got this on youtube recommended video today along with Annihilator, I listen to Annihilator first then listen to this and I'm not disappointed because it's really great. I would check their old songs after this.
This song is like travelling without moving. Like a third stage guild navigator from dune, folding space and time just by mind. I am glad that Psychotic Waltz are back. I love the flute and the female choire in the beginning and the very soft and smooth singing during the verses. My second favourite track from the new album, the other is The Fallen. Reminds me of Devin Townsend, especially his album Terria.
I was blessed enough to have met (but at the time didn't know :p) Norm Leggio at the store, as I was asking if they had their debut album. I guess Norm lived close because he ran off and got me a copy (and I didn't ask him to sign it! Arrrgh! :P). I wish the store was still around, it figures that a lot of my work is in San Diego county now.
Yes! I was also a frequent buyer at Blue Meanie. They helped me grow a fledgling CD collection. Thanks for the recommendations Norm, you helped shape my listening preferences all the way up till today....and tomorrow with new PW.
@@mvunit3 Lol, I bought "Into The Everflow" at Blue Meanie soon after it came out and Norm thanked me for my support at the checkout counter and I was like "Um, what?" Had no idea he ran the place! Dan Rock wandered in (with a really hot girlfriend!) a couple of minutes later and they signed the CD cover for me. Pretty cool! :)
For those saying this is more Deadsoul Tribe than PW-Devon has gone on record more than once saying that the songs that made up the first D-Tribe album were originally written FOR PW.. ..
This song has the continuity, it has the atmoshphere, it has many PW trademarks. In the same time it is very tame and did not really take me by storm on the first listen. Let us wait for the full album and give it the time it deserves. Because PW is a very very special band and we're blessed to live to see this!
I cannot believe this. I bought a car recently with a cd player and I chose the "Mosquito" album to play in it as I haven't heard it for a while. I've been seriously enjoying listening to it again after years. This was 2 weeks ago. It's freaking me out! It's like I sensed they were coming back?!!!! I listened to the new one with trepidation but alas......I fecking love it! One of the most under-rated bands in the world. I rate EVERFLOW and SOCIAL GRACE as masterpieces.
Thank You Brian, Dan, Devon, Norm and Ward! We as fans.... ( I say we because I’m sure I’m not alone in this point of view) “We as fans appreciate what your do for our ears, mind and soul!” Feeling happy feeling high feeling like i’m still a alive!
Nice to see the guys from my home town back to doing what they do best. Writing great music. Maybe next time Dream Theater comes to El Cajon, Psychotic Waltz will be with them. Beautiful, awesome music needs to make a return to the mainstream. Hopefully it will happen soon.
@@KamaraNoir October 27th. I hate to make you feel bad but it was an amazing show. On the other hand; it wasn't perfect because the drummer went with a single bass drum with a double bass pedal. His double bass stuff sounded muddy. BAD DRUMMER, BAD!! lol

Being so excited for the new album I was hoping that there were going to be even more amazing songs than this one. Unfortunately that didn't really happen.
