From experience after one year and four month,I can say that I'm the proud owner of two new Technics SL-1210GR turntables, newly purchased july 2017.Were not cheap 2x 1499€.It was much new improved. The workmanship and sound quality is also top.But durable handmade quality has its price.Fans and freaks from the 80's and 90's swear by the cult brand Technics. Once the Technics, always Technics.
I had GRs, but didn’t get on well with the digital pitch as I felt like I had to constantly adjust in a mix. They did feel like a good solid technics deck though.
The ST 150 and str8 150 first editions also came with the 680V3 needle which is solid for scratching! I got mine 5 years ago with intentions of switching out that needle for my M44.But I figured I would at least give it a try based off the reviews I read about 680V3.Well,..I never switched it.That needle is freaking awesome! Very durable, doesn't skip, and I'm still using it.And yes..I have beat the ish out of it for the last 5 years and it still going.
I've owned mine for about 8 years... The review/unboxing is actually on this channel when I got them brand new. They are still working as good as new. Had to use some rubbing alcohol on the buttons recently and they're both literally like new all over again.
I can vouche for the Reloop7000's. Had them when I first started turntablism this is about 2 years now and I was a bit skeptical at first. Very sturdy and they just release a MkII.
What about the pitch- pinpointing? I saw in an other review that beatmatching with it is a bit weird because you have to adjust the fader from time to time to stay on beat
@@jambu3261 I've never had an issue with the +/-pitch while beatmatching by ear. However, on any vinyl turntable your going to be doing a lot of minute adjustments when beatmatching since it isnt digital. Then if you're using it with software you just have to ensure the software is calibrated on a regular basis. Still have my 7000's mk1 and they're still working good.
If you’ve been out of the turntable game for a long time like I have been, I recommend restarting with reloop 4000 not as good as the 8000 but a close feel
I had the stanton st 150s mk1 and they were built like a war tank! They were very solid and felt incredible. But my god were they heavy to carry around with their own cases. They're definitely the best turntables out there that will last forever.
Had mine since 2008 and they are still holding up well except for a bit of rust where the paint finish has chipped off in place and one of the 33/45 selectors isn’t as responsive as it should be anymore (takes a very hard press)
@@RealDJblaze iv had mine for around that time , since iv been back on technics and they are not even in the stanton st8 150 league , they feel good of course but the motor isnt anywhere near nor is the pitch comapred to the stanton
You can not ignore the plx 1000. I say this only because they filled a gap in the market in producing a quality turntable. Pioneer must of known what they were doing.✌️💯
The most important 'features' for a turntable, are pitch control increments (ie smaller is better), pitch stability, wow, flutter, anti-feedback capability, tone-arm tracking accuracy, etc. Never heard any of those mentioned in this review. Bells & whistles are useless if the turntable has shit pitch control, shit wow & flutter, and feeds back soon as you up the volume at a club.
He never said that, I'm guessing you're a technics head and mad that he didn't mention technics there are turntables that are much cheaper and better than technics for example the reloop 7k and 8ks they have all the bells and whistles and reliability.
I still got my technics 1200's that I had since 2001 they still look nice I miss djaying on them since I've been using my ns7s controller since 2015 but I'm looking to upgrade too Rane I like their latest turntables and they also have nice mixers too😎
My issue with the Denon vl12 is that I've seen lots of users (specially Hi-Fi users) that complain about the arm been loose after adjusting the height, when they try to tighten it back it doesn't, it just wobbles. I'm a Denon user but I'll guess I'll stick to the plx1000 which already have time on the market. The best test for anything is time (I guess).
Pioneer plx 1000 feel like home when technic stop making turntable to me I still got my technic 1200 mk 2 n mk 5 n my old vestax pdx 2000 mk 2 n my vestax 90 style pdx a2s battle style still strong the motor 2022 got 4 pair of those they not the wheel of steel but I love them I'm more of a scratch DJ mix n I could mix music too like club music n other music mix scratch cut free style I have not tried the one this DJ mention I would like to tried them one of this days like all your video bro 👍😎
I bought my St150 five years ago. With gigs, I probably used em at least 12 Hours a week, for the last five years. My pitch control is definitely not calibrated. If I slide it to zero, the indicator light does not come on. The indicator light works when I use the tempo reset button. Any tips @djbooth I know you're as passionate about this turntable as I am.
Look up some UA-cam videos on how to check the calibration of your pitch fader using the led light and the dots on your platter. When at 0%, the dots should look like they’re not moving. There’s more to it, but at least you’ll know that only the light is messed up
The 1200s rate number one with me,dont need all those bells ,dont like the extra line input,a turntable with all those extra buttons are the younger djs choice ,those other tables are over priced, pioneer would be 2nd choice, its amazing after how many years the 1200 still holds up,build like a ship.
I bought a new st-150 M1 today. It cost me about 275 USD and I am really looking forward to receiving it. I am no DJ at all, but I am listening to lots of techno LPs. So I gave my old Dual CS 621 to my dad and looked for something sturdy, which will survive all the crazy student's parties, I am throwing. Maybe though I will start BJing a bit...
I really like the Denon Vl12s, but the price and features don't me justify upgrading my Stanton ST 150s. The denons strobe & platter also don't indicate the +/- 3, +6 pitch speed, but thats just my personal preference. Helps when juggling live vinyl, and I got used to that feature on my 1200s. My ST 150s are going on 7 years and they run great.
Great review, I've owned the ST150 for a lil over 3 years now and when came to replacing my Technics 1200's, these were the closest I can to them, because of the high torque & most likely the most powerful motors in the game right now, because they stop at the slightest tap of the button. I rock them at mobile events and night clubs. They pass with flying colors, night in and night out, but my only gripe is these bastards are heavy as a mofo! Yet, I'll rock them all day, everyday! Technics 1200's will always be King, but ST150 MK1's are not a bad replacement if you don't want to go through buying used decks to have refurbished. To each his or her own, but I don't see anyone using a dial up phone anymore. IJS.
STR8-150's equipped with ortofon cartridges are as good as vinyl can get. Top draw, Stanton. In a decade rare pair of engineering excellellence: The Stanton Stradivarius & Paganini. Torque Talks. Digital pitch correction allows for mixing a 72 bpm classical piece with a 112 bpm mininal tech tune - without changing vocal or musical pitch and key. There is no loss of audio quality. Add to this analogue headphone output in front and full on superb hi-fidelity digital output as well as phono/ RCA'. Rollover Beethoven. 1200's beaten.
I just want to say to all Technics lovers. Techs have competitors now and some of us don't want to try anything new, Techcs are not No1 anymore they're good but they're not the best. There's no best out there because all the TTbs have they're faults including Technics. If techs were so good they wouldn't switch from analog to digital sliders.
can't believe the Audio Technical 1240 LP table didn't make the list or at least the honorable mentions.... my short list, for home use, vinyl listening/sampling, and maybe someday dabbling with DVS at home, consists of the ST.150, the AT-1240 LP, and the RP7000.... can't decide which to get... I've been struggling with this decision for a long time and can't choose....so I haven't bought one... I'm looking for a single, quality table for studio space.... maybe if DVS and Scratching more becomes my thing, then I might get a coffin and a pair ... but for now I'm a mobile DJ and my setup consists of a controller with Serato, a CD/Media player, and a phone/tablet for backups... any input on these three, and which might be better or why, as well as any info on where a Mk1 Stanton might still be available, would be most appreciated... keep shining bro
Sorry to be so off topic but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost my password. I love any assistance you can give me!
@Asa Keith I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
You could sell your Technics for more now and buy six Stantons. The Vinyl store bought Stantons for listening to records and it didnt take long before the surface wore away. Why I never bought them. My technics show none of this wear.. except the stop start button after 10years of use.
@@loweni7460 we shall see how much a reloops worth in 30 years time i guess, with all those outdated buttons i'm guessing not much at all. The one thing everyone forgets about technics 1200's is they were the industry standard for three decades for good reason = build quality.
Guys dont ask everytime on the comments about 1200s !!!! They're the hulks on the market so they would be no1 in everyway. This list made for other TTs on the market which are considerable to buy if you dont have the budget.
In my opinion, Vestax PDX series if you can find them used and in SOLID condition. For me they are the best for scratching, the abs plastic is kind of a vanity thing for some, but that tonearm is the BEST 👌 I used m44's sc35's and Ortofon for carts on them 99.5 percent non skip rate. Pitch, reverse, start, stop time. Not an issue. Technics 1200'S are still on the list more so for collectors and bragging rights. It all is about what you are comfortable with, as with DJ mixers. Just master you skills on the one's and two's have fun be creative. And no need for any DJ training class, save your money and buy more records and equipment. ✌️
The Vestax turntables are sick as well. They just were not available to purchase when this video when out so they didn't make the list as well as the 1200's. But I love using the PDX line. I am even hunting for a set myself.
Nope, you didn't hear correctly. The Denon is a much heavier and better built turntable. The PLX is almost all plastic except for the top plate. The Denon also has additional features as well.
Fully agree. Got 3 Stantons 150 mk1 and looking for 4th one. Biggest disappointment for me when looking at 150 mk2 is that changing the rotation speed is now in one button making impossible to nudge using quick rpm change...
Always interesting to see what is out there now. With everything tech driven these days.. I'm most curious about the reloop 8s...that being said I own a pair of old 12s and a pair of old 1800s ( my first set) Keep up the good work bro. Peace
I don't know if any other DJ turntable has better wow and flutter than the 1200's but all in this list are more than capable of giving you a solid performance for long beat mixes. They can hold the speed well...
Didn't say Technics For two reasons.... 1- You could not purchase brand new Technics 1200's in 2018 and 2- 1200's are the original kings and don't even need to be mentioned.
Know its discontinued, but where would you place the Numark TTX in this list? Still has features that some OEM decks don't. Have had mine for 16 years now.
Dear Brother.... i got offer vestax PDX3000 mark2.... in very low rate (just around400$ for pair) ...from one of our friend.... should I buy or not.... gear is on condition... but I don't have any vinyl record... I have to buy sound card n serato scratch...
oh snap, i just posted about the 1240. it HAS to be in the top 5. and technics??????????? they shot themselves in the foot by turning their backs on dj's. it's quite possible that they are DONE
1240's are better than the NTX1000 for sure, BUT they are the same as the Stanton 150 and Reloop RP7000/8000 so I didn't mention them. But I agree they are certainly better decks than the Numark NTX...
I have used them and they are pretty bad. The motor is not good enough for scratching and back cueing. Try to go with something like the Epsilon or DJ Tech turntables that I listed here if you want to save some money...
@@RealDJblaze Thorens TD 158 or Nemark NTX 1000 ? ( Yes but audiotechnica has a built-in preamplifier and all the others not. I will have to buy an amplifier and that means more money right ?
I know this video is 3ys old so I wanted to know if there was anything else you would choose. I'm getting back into DJing. Those Stanton STR8-150 seems dope. I have about $3500 to start all over would you still choose those or in 2021 there are something better. And I'm looking for a mixer to go with the turntables with alot of efx included & is cerrato functional with those Stantons. I also do beats and want to implement some of my samples during my set. I use the MPC Renaissance to do my beats.
Thanks for your message! Today, I would choose the Reloop PR-7000 over all other turntables. I still like the original Stanton ST-150's the best and that's what I use, but they are hard to find now because the mk2 version is more readily available but not as good.
@@kareem_the_dream thanks my guy..I'm thinking about the Rane mixer to go with it. And I want to put samples in the mixer as play and I'm actually gonna get that Phase gadget that keeps the turntables steady and is played without a needle. If you have any advice on mixers or the Phase. Feel free to respond whenever..I'm not buying the stuff until end of October-Nov.
@@chief101937 Right now my setup is 2 stanton original 150's, the Pioneer DJM-S11 and a set of phase. They work perfectly together and only use one USB port on the computer as the mixer has a hub that powers Phase. I also have the Rane 72 and its sick as well. You can put samples into Serato DJ and your mixer will be able to bring them up whenever you press the button. Either Serato Mixer will do that for you including the Reloop Elite, the Rane 70/72 and the S9/S7/S11. Good luck!
@@kareem_the_dream what about the RP 8000 Mk2 are they better than 7000's.. if not why? Or if so why?....I'm not buying anything for another month so I'm doing all the homework I can.
@@kareem_the_dream sorry my man for being so pesty I now know those 8000's I asked about are plastic and like 3 pounds. Sorry for the long ass text.
whoa whoa, three questions here: 1) where's technics? (lol) 2) the audio technica 1240 blows away that numark, and other more expensive units also. why wasn't it included? 3) and where's the rane 12? (oh never mind hahaha)
(1) Technics goes without saying and you can't purchase the original Technics any longer brand new. The 1200GR cost too much for this list. (2) The AT1240 is a DOPE turntable but its the SAME deck as the Reloop and Stanton decks that are #1 and #2 on this list. No need to show another deck that is the same with different styling. The Numark is something different and it's price is better than everyone else in the class... except my two honorable mentions. Hope this answers the questions.
I see some video (Audio Technica AT LP1240 problem Hum sound part 1) & comments about lp1240, when headshell put in to the vinyl, generate the hum sound. Is it true? please watch the video & reply me. So I think bought that player. Thanks.
Yes there pretty good..i was krs ones tour dj..and i use stanton str8100s and audio technicas ..and of course i have technics...but i like the reverse function ..and usb..an 77 speed on aud.technia...theres just a smidgen slower than the 1200s but unless ur mixmaster mike ..id go with a.technicas...i can scratch like a motherfucker..been in battles n theres a reason krs one hired me...believe me ..for under 300 bux i would go fo a.technicas...
I've seen and used the Roland turntable... It's basically like a PLX-500 which doesn't have a great motor for scratching. It has a lot of plastic in the build as well.
I have the Reloop 7000's and they are nice. Only one big complaint. They don't make that classic brake stop when hitting the Play/Stop button. I adjust the Start/Stop and torque and it helps a little, but never really gets the sound all the way right. Anyone who has any pointers feel free to comment.
Iamyouonlydifferent they need to fix this. Im suprise more DJ's don't complain or even comment about it. I can't even find it in anyone's reviews. For everything else reviews cover you would think they include this so we would know before we purchase them.
There is only 1 Turntable deck for djs and that is the Technic 1200 series. New or old it don't matter. They are top 1-5 and all others are just wanna be's IMO. They are and always will be the standard of what every other Turntable wants to be. All the biggest dj turntablalist still use them today.
Over priced? 2k for a CDJ is over priced and yet that's the industry standard player.. $1699 retail probably $1500 street price for a brand new Technic SL1210GR Turntable that you know is gonna last you a lifetime really don't sound that bad when you think of it that way... Will a CDJ or an controller last a lifetime? Will the screens eventually fade and die? HUMMM the answer is not known right now... If I was a betting man I would say no they won't last. But we all know that the Technics will last forever. So I wouldn't be so quick to say they are over priced... They are priced over the other Turntables because they have to be... Because they are the best and they are the standard which all other makers copy. If they were to price themselves with the rest of the TT's, then they would be telling everyone that they are on par to those TT's which they are not. So to a house DJ that still plays on 3 Turntables and uses a rotary mixer and filters etc, the Technics 1200's are still the way to go for them and cheaper than buying CDJ's. So while your opinion is yours to have, you might want to broaden your thoughts about the new Technic's turntables with a higher price tag then the rest. Thanks as always for the videos.
No matter how you look at it $1600 is overpriced for an analog DJ-specific turntable. Super OEM turntables are also lasting over 15 years with no issues but you can get them for as little as $300 per deck (they will likely last longer but they've only been out for that long). There is lots more tech and higher priced items inside a CDJ or digital device than there is in a 1200. Like I said, 1200's are the king and are the standards to which all others are judged... They don't need to be on this list because the 1200 is so iconic that it doesn't need to be mentioned here. You're welcome for the videos as usual and thanks for your comment.
BPMSounds, you aren't adding to the conversation with the Technics debate. Anyone that's been around knows the ALMIGHTY TEC's rule supreme. I had the 1210's in 1998 and paid $400 each for them new. Laid off from work in 2008 and basically life fell apart financially and had to sell them. Now I'm trying to get a new set on a budget. If money wasn't an issue, then yeah I would certainly pay $1000 each [probably used] on ebay but that's not an option.. So this is where DJBoothProAudio, is doing us a solid but giving his opinion and take on what's on the market in 2018 [that year is in the title if you missed it]. The topic is interesting in general seeing how far turntables have come. Why not learn something. We should all be grateful DJBoothProAudio has class and willing to answer comments and engage in polite debate. Look how many retards are saying, "oh man, can't believe blah blah wasn't on there." I wouldn't even comment to all you freaks.
Thank you for this post. I still have my records, but quit DJing in 2003. Im looking for a good, yet cheaper turntable so I can mix and scratch. Don't really need all the new extras. Thanks again for the post.
I quit in 2003 too when I had my beloved 1210s stolen. Just got back into it over last couple of months. Bought a audio technica lp1240 and reloop 7000 mk2. Can't wait to get back into it.
I was thinking about selling my MK-2's to get some tables with more features... but I'm worried about the durability of some of these new tables. I've had my Technics for over 20yrs now and they still work like they are new. Can anyone vouch for these other brands? Even 10 years, of heavy use, would be good enough. I'm leaning toward the Reloop tables.
Never sell any 1200's! Keep them and get a set of these. I've had my super-oem decks since about 2012 with heavy use and no issues. All these on this list will last a long time...
It's ok for a beginner set of turntables, but not really great for scratching and juggling. They can work OK for mixing though. Try the Numark NTX1000... That's probably the best you can find now at $400 each. Buy one at a time if you have to... You'll thank me later.
@@RealDJblaze Thanks a lot mate! Numark NTX1000 look awesome honestly! I want to use turntables to mix and DJ more than to scratch. I usually play some house music with a bit of funk and disco and im not really into scratching. I already know how to mix with regular CDJs or Controllers but I started buying Vinyls recently and i want to get into the game! does it actually matter what genre of music you play when considering buying dj turntables?
@@raghidkaram7484 You always want to get the best that you can the first time out. With that said, if you are scratching you will need a stronger motor. That is not so much the case when just mixing. When scratching, you need the speed to pickup much quicker when moving the record back and forth. You are not doing that as much when mixing, so you don't need as strong a motor in most cases. It's not Genre, but how you actually play. The NTX1000 is better all around than the T92 though.
The only thing I've heard people complain about with the ST-150 and the RP8000 is that the dual start/stop buttons means the spot/indent where they'd normally mount their dicer on an SL-1200 isn't there ... !
Ive had 5 pairs of 12s over the years and a few years ago i bought a pair of belt drive home mix decks for 150 pounds uk and they were the best decks ive ever mixed on 😅😅 i had the tightest mixes on those cheap belt drives. Only thing is they were not good for scratching . Moral of the story give things a chance .
I also learned to mix and scratch on a few different pairs of weaker belt drive turntables, but I think it made me that much better when I finally upgraded to my own direct drive decks. Definitely had to use what we had back in the day if you didn't have all that money for Techs!
Technics are still my favorite, but I do own a pair of STR8-150's, and they are a very very solid alternative. Torque is better too. That can be a plus or minus, depending on how you mix.
Technics goes without saying. They aren't on this list because in 2018 (as the video is titled) there were no retail brand new 1200's available for sale. This was for brand new decks in 2018.

The mk2s are amazing, the mk1s tonearms are a bit shitty but the mk2s are really good
Dope vid! I am debating between the Stanton STR8 150 and Reloop 7000mk2 for strictly just scratching. Which would you go with and why?

I still got my technics 1200's that I had since 2001 they still look nice I miss djaying on them since I've been using my ns7s controller since 2015 but I'm looking to upgrade too Rane I like their latest turntables and they also have nice mixers too😎
I'm using an ns7ii and I love it. It's awesome when I see somebody Still rocking out on the original ns7
Nice top5 ... even nicer that my trusty Stanton st150’s were at the top on the list ... they are a solid build man .. so heavy ..
Thank you!!!
Reloop RP 7000 is the new 1200 .
You might have to take it to a shop to get it calibrated or you can try to call Stanton for service...
I agree that's what I learned on tryna get some more again
I've got my mickey mouse close and play. The crowd goes crazy when I play the 45 rpm original Batman theme song on it. Paid 10 dollars for it in 1965.
IJS.
My thoughts exactly. thanks for your comment.
You got it bro, keep bringing these great videos to the forefront!
hahahahah
i had tje stantons. very good turntable
This is why they are the best! Thanks for watching all these years later.

@Asa Keith I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out atm.
Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Asa Keith It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
@Reese Immanuel happy to help :D
I had technics and sold it and buy the Stanton str8-150, best decision I ever made. Think I may try the reloop 7000 now since they are much lighter
You could sell your Technics for more now and buy six Stantons. The Vinyl store bought Stantons for listening to records and it didnt take long before the surface wore away. Why I never bought them. My technics show none of this wear.. except the stop start button after 10years of use.
Reloop 7000s and their MK2 variant are an excellent turntable they're also much cheaper and better than technics
@@loweni7460 we shall see how much a reloops worth in 30 years time i guess, with all those outdated buttons i'm guessing not much at all.
The one thing everyone forgets about technics 1200's is they were the industry standard for three decades for good reason = build quality.
technics is back
LOL, and worse than ever too!
Which one I should buy for learn scratch ?! Technics sl 1200mk5 or stanton t.62
Definitely the Technics!
Impressive Work, great posting ❤ 😉
Great review bro
I love my St-150’s !
Guys dont ask everytime on the comments about 1200s !!!! They're the hulks on the market so they would be no1 in everyway. This list made for other TTs on the market which are considerable to buy if you dont have the budget.
Exactly!
So true
In my opinion, Vestax PDX series if you can find them used and in SOLID condition. For me they are the best for scratching, the abs plastic is kind of a vanity thing for some, but that tonearm is the BEST 👌
I used m44's sc35's and Ortofon for carts on them 99.5 percent non skip rate.
I am even hunting for a set myself.
ntx1000 is good for scratch ?
Yes, they are!
@@RealDJblaze thanks bro ;)
U gotta put the Audio technica lp- 1240's on the list!! Way better then the numark eplison and DJ Tech turntables ...
Don't 'jump' me for asking but how does the Audio-Technica AT-LP-120-USB turntables stand up to 1200's, and the decks on this list?
They don't really compare to the 1200's... The other decks on this list DO compare to the 1200's...
hi, the Stanton ST-150s are good enough for turntablism or scratching?
Of course they are!
what i can loose if a turntable dnt have reverse? , im looking for a turntable for begginers
I wanna buy 2 tech 1200's really good but cheap where would be the best place to buy some? If anyone knows let me know please
Did i hear the Denon beat out the pioneer.... because of an LED ring?
Nope, you didn't hear correctly. The Denon is a much heavier and better built turntable. The PLX is almost all plastic except for the top plate. The Denon also has additional features as well.
Fully agree. Got 3 Stantons 150 mk1 and looking for 4th one. Biggest disappointment for me when looking at 150 mk2 is that changing the rotation speed is now in one button making impossible to nudge using quick rpm change...
Agreed... they kinda dropped the Ball on the MK2 in a few different areas. Almost how Technics shocked people with the MK7...
Always interesting to see what is out there now. With everything tech driven these days.. I'm most curious about the reloop 8s...that being said I own a pair of old 12s and a pair of old 1800s ( my first set) Keep up the good work bro. Peace
Question, is the wow and flutter on the pioneer just as good as a technic 1200? I like to do long beat mixes so wow and flutter are important right?
I don't know if any other DJ turntable has better wow and flutter than the 1200's but all in this list are more than capable of giving you a solid performance for long beat mixes. They can hold the speed well...
How could you leave out the industry standard? Techs???
Didn't say Technics For two reasons....
1- You could not purchase brand new Technics 1200's in 2018 and
2- 1200's are the original kings and don't even need to be mentioned.
Know its discontinued, but where would you place the Numark TTX in this list?
Still has features that some OEM decks don't. Have had mine for 16 years now.
Does 150 mk 1 is a same motor toque with mk2????
Yes, Same Motor!
ok thx you
Dear Brother.... i got offer vestax PDX3000 mark2.... in very low rate (just around400$ for pair) ...from one of our friend.... should I buy or not.... gear is on condition... but I don't have any vinyl record... I have to buy sound card n serato scratch...
Yes, get them! They are great!!!
@@RealDJblaze can u tell me.. price of vestax pdx3000 mark2.. in market now
@@happyday5410 Not sure, check ebay for sold auctions to see the market price...
Audio Technica AT-LP1240 USB should replace the Numark NTX1000. Got both and the Numarks just don't compare.
TheGameIsLost I can’t believe they didn’t make the list
oh snap, i just posted about the 1240. it HAS to be in the top 5. and technics??????????? they shot themselves in the foot by turning their backs on dj's. it's quite possible that they are DONE
1240's are better than the NTX1000 for sure, BUT they are the same as the Stanton 150 and Reloop RP7000/8000 so I didn't mention them. But I agree they are certainly better decks than the Numark NTX...
Technics goes without saying...
I think they feel more solid and have a slightly better/proven tonearm. They also have a stronger motor...
Have you ever done a review on the Stanton T60s! If so, what do you think of them?
I have used them and they are pretty bad. The motor is not good enough for scratching and back cueing. Try to go with something like the Epsilon or DJ Tech turntables that I listed here if you want to save some money...
Always wondered why Stanton downgraded the hardware...
Just shows you they are all made in the same factory with different sticker names
Audiotechnica LP 120X , Nemark NTX-1000 or RP 4000 Reloop MK2 ?
Please answer me i want to buy it today
The NTX-1000 BY FAR!!! They are way more professional and they are serious turntables. The others don't have nearly as much torque as these...
@@RealDJblaze Thorens TD 158 or Nemark NTX 1000 ? ( Yes but audiotechnica has a built-in preamplifier and all the others not. I will have to buy an amplifier and that means more money right ?
I'm planning to buy Stanton turntable. Which model is good for professional use
Call me crazy but I think Stanton turntables look kind of cool, you can get them cheap and they're awesome
(Not interested) So what I need to know is what's the difference between the RELOOP RP-7000 MK2 PROFESSIONAL UPPER TORQUE TURNTABLE SYSTEM and the RELOOP DIRECT DRIVE DJ TURNTABLE AMS-RP 7000 MK2. Sorry for the long ass text.
whoa whoa, three questions here:
1) where's technics? (lol)
2) the audio technica 1240 blows away that numark, and other more expensive units also. why wasn't it included?
3) and where's the rane 12? (oh never mind hahaha)
(1) Technics goes without saying and you can't purchase the original Technics any longer brand new. The 1200GR cost too much for this list.
(2) The AT1240 is a DOPE turntable but its the SAME deck as the Reloop and Stanton decks that are #1 and #2 on this list. No need to show another deck that is the same with different styling. The Numark is something different and it's price is better than everyone else in the class... except my two honorable mentions. Hope this answers the questions.
ok gotcha. personally i'm not feeling technics anymore (had mine for like 20 years)
yeah and i like these top 5 videos. keep 'em coming!
Thanks! We will, stay tuned!
Yes! Check out my review video on this channel. They are good SUPER-OEM decks too...
Fun fact: All of these turntables are Hanpin Super OEMs...
I hv the audio technica 1240's. And i love them
I see some video (Audio Technica AT LP1240 problem Hum sound part 1) & comments about lp1240, when headshell put in to the vinyl, generate the hum sound. Is it true? please watch the video & reply me. So I think bought that player. Thanks.

Did anyone check Roland turntable, I guess 909 ? Did anyone recommend it ..
I've seen and used the Roland turntable... It's basically like a PLX-500 which doesn't have a great motor for scratching. It has a lot of plastic in the build as well.
DJBooth Pro Audio thank you 🙏🏻
I think my stanton 100s n audio technicas are better than the roland
Plus my denon dns 3500 cd players are way better for scratchn than the roland
I like the Reloop 8000, but I love the old Technics 1210 MK2
Any thoughts on the Mixars LTA/STA decks
I have the Reloop 7000's and they are nice. Only one big complaint. They don't make that classic brake stop when hitting the Play/Stop button. I adjust the Start/Stop and torque and it helps a little, but never really gets the sound all the way right. Anyone who has any pointers feel free to comment.
Iamyouonlydifferent they need to fix this. Im suprise more DJ's don't complain or even comment about it. I can't even find it in anyone's reviews. For everything else reviews cover you would think they include this so we would know before we purchase them.
Only true in Serato mode. When playing real vinyl, the effect works just fine by using the power switch.
Thanks man
SL 1200 mk, 27 years old, they still haven't missed a beat. I bought the pair for 400 Pounds in 1996
1200's are a given but weren't for sale as brand new in the year this video was created. The new MK7's are rubbish. The others are the kings...
@@RealDJblaze the G.O.A.Ts. good watch though.
technics 1200s and technics power amps.
There is only 1 Turntable deck for djs and that is the Technic 1200 series. New or old it don't matter. They are top 1-5 and all others are just wanna be's IMO. They are and always will be the standard of what every other Turntable wants to be. All the biggest dj turntablalist still use them today.
Technics goes without saying... You can't buy them new anymore unless you get the GR model which is overpriced IMO. Long live the 1200's....
I guess we will agree to disagree on what over priced is when it comes to the 1200 in todays dj world.
@@danzmind Nice bro it’s totally worth it. I ended up caving in and bought 2 used Technic 1200s MK3D’s $600 each from eBay. Totally worth it too. 🤙🏼
All these on this list will last a long time...

what do u think of the Stanton T92 USB?
You don't need a Dicer on the RP8000. Its already built in.
What's up with those gr g technics 1200 and 1210 models [laughs]?
You can get genuine 1200s from ebay for $300 or less and they will still outlive your grand kids.
Definitely had to use what we had back in the day if you didn't have all that money for Techs!
how about stanton t92 usb for beginner dj?
I would get an NTX1000 in the least. You can get them on ebay brand new from a store for only $249 with Free shipping. That's your best bet!
