We have gathered a few tips and tricks that you can employ to improve your performance.

Actual sprinter here. Here’s most of what I disagree with:
3. Never try to have “high knees” when running, high knee lift is a result of more force DOWN into the ground. Trying to raise your knees higher will make you slower.
4. Land on your forefoot (not toes). Midfoot striking is for distance runners
9. When accelerating, you actually land behind your body. In top speed phase, you land slightly in front of your hips so that when you push off your feet are directly under your hips
10. This one’s actually dumb. If you ever hear any sprinter, they are really loud
11. Also really stupid. Food is your fuel and remember to stay hydrated. Just make sure you have enough time to digest the food. Drinking water during the workout is perfectly fine too.
12. Not true, especially during high intensity workouts
14. That time window is way too short, but do consume carbs and protein after a workout
15. This doesn’t really make sense for sprinters since the race is way too short to pace. Even in the 400m, you should start off a little faster than you finish.
17. Warm weather hardly effects sprinters except for the 400m sometimes
Overall, most of this stuff is worthless and sprinting fast really comes down to proper training and diet. Form improvements come in small increments over time, and different things work for different people. I would never recommend someone to overthink their arm action or leg swing while running, just focus on one small thing at a time.

I have my very first track meet as a varsity girl at 14. My Coach wants me to run cause I'm fast, and wants to see my times with racing against varsity girls (This is also my first year in track) and I'm kinda nervous. But these tips really helped!

I am 13 years old and my 100 meters time is 12.90 seconds and my 25 meter is 4.44 seconds

None of these tips show how to develop a dominant fast twitch sprinters ham, that can reach out 2+ ft and explode forward (says guy who had crazy speed)

It’s ok plus I’m preparing for this running test I’m having at my elementary school I’m a 5th grader and I’m trying my hardest to become the faster in my class. Just workout and listens to steps like 30-50 times. Eat healthy and drink lots of water and practice. Hope this helps!❤
