You can pay more but unless the homeowner is supervising the install, they will never know what is going on up there.

That's a pretty wavy roof, so somethings wrong with the structure already.
Lots of home owners are not sure high-cost equal quality. If they know they can get good quality, they'd probably pay. I got scammed by some roofer but that's due to not knowing good/reputed roofers.
Yes, there are people out there that charge a lot that don't know what they're doing. Or you'll simply overpay, just because the company is too big. Most of the time, the cheapest of the estimates are the worst. Cutting corners and don't care, or simply just don't know what they are doing. Some of the to good to be true deals will just take the deposit. Never do the job and run. There are usually a handful of estimates that are in a tight ballpark. You can't just go off of price. You have to do your due diligence in looking into the companies.

The installer is the problem, not the nail gun. It’s like saying The pencil made the failing Grade. The gun shot and killed people, WRONG, PEOPLE DO IT.
He talks about saving money as if that is an indicator on whether you're getting a quality roofing job. It's not. I don't know how this guy does his business. I don't know him. but just because he charges more money does not mean you will get a better roof. The part he and many contractors probably won't tell you or want you to know is that most contractors or roof salesman will sub-contract the work out. Those guys are the gangs that bring 8 to 10 guys out. Their job is to get it done quickly and make money. many times, those same quality mistakes that he shows on video. I would bet that he himself has done. There is no such thing as a perfect roof. the best thing is to check out your contractor by other people who were satisfied with their work.
You obviously haven't watched this guy's videos or seen his work. You're taking what he says wrongly. One of the few guys that is trustworthy.
It’s more likely than not that the cheapest guy will have the worst install. Not all companies pay their subs the same. Some pay their subs more so they can be more demanding. Some pay their subs sh*t, and don’t really have any leverage to be demanding at all. Of course, this is on average. Is it theoretically possible that the cheapest guy will also be the best? Yes. Is it likely? No.
I seriously doubt any of his guys do this type of install.
