Its not a whole Europe thing, but people from the Netherlands are extremely direct. They say things not always with the intention of being mean. To us Americans it can come across as rude, but its not seen as the same there. Not trying to sound as a know it all, but it helps better understand the show.
To us Andalusians, what Janey says to Abby is definitely rude. I sometimes get the impression that North-Americans think of Europe as if it was a whole country, kinda like "another United States", and it's not like that at all. For instance, Andalusia is very different from Northern Spain, let alone the rest of Europe.
Torres Ruiz yes as an American I can understand that some of us don’t realize how diverse and different Europe is let alone an individual country! Studied in Spain for a year, so there’s always a special place in my heart for España.❤️

There is Frikandel and there is Frikadeller. I only know this because my grandma likes to tell us story abt our ancestors. My country was invaded by European (Netherlands) and my grandma said before, that our great grandma was enslaven and forced to do farm work without pay. They can only eat rotten veggies, sometimes good veggies if the nice rich dutch lady could hid somefood for them.
In the past, they eat those meatballs (Frikadeller) and our ancestors eat the "lower class" version of it, instead of meat they used mashed potato and deep fried them because they couldnt eat meat. Now it is known as one of our traditional food, and we called it Perkedel.

Aunty Chan you are smart enough to know that Dutch people are smart enough to also include lots of puns. The translation of the "punch you" joke was a pun on "Mama Ru" and the Dutch word for punch which is a synonym for Ru. A lot of the translations that don't make sense- it is safe to assume there is a punchline somewhere, lost in translation.
there's a lot of stuff that's lost in translation because the other week i saw dutch people on reddit say the english subtitles are crap and poorly made and it's likely a closed caption like the one youtube has, instead of it being someone translating from dutch to english, causing a lot of things to be mistranslated or not translated at all

I *loved* Madame Madness' look. I thought her gold eyes with reflecting gold underneath and the striking black, like she was both the man and woman subject of a Klimt painting. I was so disappointed that they hated it, I thought it was pretty breathtaking :(
the makeup was good but the dress looked cheap I think
The idea was great, the realization was meh. And, Klimt's painting is iconic to a degree that it is almost too common, direction to basic. As she states "you can find this in IKEA", which doesn't really then scream "this is creative". About NikkieTutorial's critique: yes, this is episode two but if you are a social media queen with quite the visibility, you may expect that Nikkie knows who you might be. If you present something that you usually do in a challenge that is asking you to do the complete opposite, you are shooting yourself in the foot 😬

I actually agree with the judges on Madame Moustache. Everyone did crazy face-paints and she just done her regular face, kinda changed a little bit. Also missing the gold details, Klimt is known for using a LOT of gold, and her dress was just non-metallic mustard yellow, its a no from me, but I love her, I'm glad she stayed

Hi, Fred made a rhyme/pun when replying to Nikkie when he introduced her. However the joke got lost in translation, in they just translated it to “I’m going to punch you in the face”, which wasn’t the actual meaning of what Fred said to her. ^^
