Andreas spreads the great word and awareness across the globe. And when people come around with this new thing and catch the interest.. the first places they go for more is logically Bitcoin -twitter account and Bitcoin.com. And the first propaganda FUD battle starts there.
If i had to choose which are the top 10 speaks of Andreas i would for sure put this one in the list. He is a real teacher of free life and living. I am glad i had the opportunity to listen to him from near and shake hands. Keep up the good teaching
What a beautiful mind. What a clean mind. The presence of Spirit (and lack of ego) are gleaming... as always. Continued prayers for Andreas to stay protected in Spirit as he continues his journey.
Government regulations are what scares me. In my 60 years on this planet, I have never known any government to do anything right, other than line their own pockets.
Your comments on the creation of enemies by extreme polarization were clairvoyant as fuck. Continually amazed at the duality of your technical knowledge and social awareness. Killer combo, and exactly what's needed.
I love it Andreas! You could call this video " The Emergence of Democratic Anarchy". Democratic because bitcoin is consensus based and Anarchy because bitcoin is leaderless and without appeal to authority, governed by code created through consensus and enforced through the incorruptible laws of mathematics. Great video!
Dear Andreas, Thank you again for a great speech. Please allow me to ask: How does the consensus work, when good devs try to make Bitcoin better? Are there 50 devs in total who vote for implementation of something 1 dev made? Or are there 1000 devs who have that power? You said that any change will only be implemented when there is consensus in the community. Who is the "community"? I have a few Bitcoin... I am very active in "the community" by listening to you on UA-cam, and a lot of others. I follow good people on Twitter. But nobody asked my opinion/vote when a change is suggested. When there is a change implemented, is that called a softfork? Is every little change a softfork? In other words: What exactly is the structure of how changes are made? And more important: Who are the people that have to agree and how many of them are there in total? Thank you so very much for clarifying this. It puzzles me already longtime.
Consider this: There are 100 devs and 60 of them agree on what they think is the best modification to implement forward. They have majority among the 100 devs so they commit these changes to official bitcoin software. The remaining 40 devs, or anybody that thinks this is a bad idea can fork the source code and work in a different direction. Now say those 40 devs in the minority were actually right, based on the opinion of bitcoin users around the world. People would keep using the version they prefer and eventually they would agree on one of the two because there is too much at stake. For each user, the only incentive is to make bitcoin better for every user, not just himself, because that would drive people away and his currency would lose value. So as a whole the users decide the future of bitcoin, if that makes sense.
Also @bugswillbite, to add to your eloquent explanation, humanity has 'soft forked' & 'hard forked' for centuries (if not millennia) w/ their decisions of FAITH. Think of denominations of the Christian religion. Whenever a faction of the church had a disagreement over certain interpretations in the Bible, they decided to mutually part ways & form a new denomination (a type of Hard Fork) w/ others of like mind. In essence, as AA has eluded to in this talk (as well as others around Oct/Nov 2017), cryptocurrencies/alt coins, will thrive in varying degrees on the basis of FAITH/BELIEF of users of each coin's protocols/governance as stated in their 'white papers'. As coins evolve based on scale, consensus steers the direction of the coin causing the users to make a choice whether to continue use or Soft Fork/Hard Fork or discontinue use of said coin. Edit: More ref here: ua-cam.com/video/XCVaabu3J04/v-deo.html
Damir Kruljac Ivan on tech is a shyster; witness his hurry up and give me the money course promotion, especially the 18k vip option. If it was up to me I would even let him in the room.
Damir Kruljac exactly. Got to learn to review my comments before I commit. Anyway, nothing wrong that Ivan the techie is trying to make some money off his knowledge/research but his approach says sleazy. There are only a few people I would trust in this space, Andreas is one of them. Worst thing I would say about Andreas is that he is a tad naive, maybe, but he is absolutely genuine.
So precise and clear and deep. Thank you Andreas. This presentation is visionary. Andreas for president 😁, even if we dont need rulers anymore, sb should can still have the title. My vote goes for Andreas, even when, sadly, he is a BTC guy.
Great words. Bitcoin is opening up the possibilities to a life without rule sets at the whim of someone who is unnecessarily acting as your boss. Being free to choose your associations, to be financially empowered, to be censorship resistant and to live decentralized is what it is all about. Make sure to make the choices in Bitcoin that will keep enabling that.

@@LightWorkerBass People living hand to mouth like this can't take risks with money and fluctuating exchange rates. That is what Etherium was suppose to solve, but it has become misguided. You have touched on the endgame problem. What happens when the government (say the USA) or more correctly the Fed or IMF or BIS announces their hard fork of BTC. "BTCUSA" or "BitcoinFed", now all you btc owners get a 1:1 coin. The government restricts any corp from receiving btc and requires all commerce/taxes, etc... in the country (say USA) to be conducted in btcusa, using the full power of the FTC, IRS and the rest of the governmental alphabet. I think most noobs will roll over because they don't really understand what is at stake. This might sound strange but the power of the blockchain is its decentralisation - yes. And yet it's as though the bitcoin blockchain is currently a focus of centralisation. I'm not familiar with the intricacies of the coding and mathematics involved, but is it possible to have a system where a new blockchain is created every time someone wants to participate in the trade of a particular commodity? So let's say there are the people who trade wheat or salt or whatever. They have their own discrete blockchain. I guess what I'm suggesting is that rather than scaling up bitcoin, is it possible to separate it into many smaller blockchains that are used by communities whose members will quite naturally do a lot of trading with each other. I hope this makes sense to someone.
There might be coins for particular commodities but there might also be coins for local communities who do regular transactions amongst themselves. So each person would have wallets for a variety of coins and those coins would reflect the "circles" or communities of which that person participates as a trading member. I'm seeing Venn diagrams here.
Nature is such a source of inspiration! When a living thing seeks to grow, it divides its cells - and then those cells grow, and then it divides those cells again ... Can such a thing be done with crypto coins and trade?
I think ultimately the world will trade in numerous "small" coins which are locally based. And dare I suggest it, I think one day bitcoin itself will no longer exist. But for now (and for many years to come) bitcoin will be the primary method by which people transition and exchange from fiat currencies to cryptocurrencies. Once they have bitcoin, they can then exchange that for other more locally-based cryptos which pertain to their particular trading habits.
I think if banks were smart (and here I mean local banks, not those dead shits that have monopolised world money) ... but if local banks were smart, they would act as exchanges from fiat to bitcoin. But then citizens would need to be able to exchange their money through the bank anonymously and I'm not sure that banks would or could do that. The government, in its grasp for tax dollars, will no doubt seek to monitor people's use of money via banks. Poor governments. They're in so much debt to the dead shit monopolisers and people are going to progressively hide their money in cryptos and not pay tax. I predict Trump is going to declare the USA bankrupt.
So naif that idea of freeing the world from monopoly of currency and banks and also to refuse to consider the possibility of some intelligent agency behind the whole technology even when it's of public knowledge that SHA 256 was devised by NSA and that ARPANET, the predecesor of Internet, was a US military project. What will happen when government goes global? Will it be then possible to regulate bitcoin and crypto currencies? By the way this guy is so good as a speaker. I'd like to be like him 😅
