- Come along with me as I build a backdrop for my furniture flipping business. This is a light weight, easy to move foam board with wallpaper attached. Up your photography game with a neutral trendy backdrop 👏
Products used
Foam board insulation from hardware store
Wallpaper
Tape - I used a bad tape, you should use something heavy duty like duct tape
That’s all!!
Love that you shared your fail. I've learned so much from this channel and it helps to see not everyone gets things right on the 1st try!
I’m glad to hear that!!
If you pull your furniture piece a couple of feet away from the wall, you’ll get more of soft/blurred background and more focus on the piece when you photograph it. Just a handy little photo tip!
thank you for sharing very encouraging, trial and error... keep going i just started my refurbishing business
Love the wallpaper as background & the posh flooring in your garage as well! I would love to see your take on staging so yeah! Just love how you share your journey & your perspective. X
Thanks! I will definitely share about the flooring! It’s just the click together “wood”laminate from Home Depot a friend gave me the extra box
Love the dog
Omw. THANK YOU!!!! I'VE REDONE MY STAGING WALL SOOOO MANY TIMES BUT THIS!!!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I would love to see a video on how you do the floral arrangements. It’s beautifully done💛
❤️❤️❤️ that would be SO fun to make!
Yes please I would also love to see a video
You and your daughter are Adorable.
Thank you!! ❤️
Great idea 💡. Yes stick the wallpaper down, as it's a bit bubbly. If you want to change it in the future, you can just wallpaper over it or use the other side. Great tip..thanks
Thanks for the idea for the backdrop, I’ve been struggling to find a suitable wall to take my photos, so this definitely gives me some ideas!
Thanks for helping me think outside of the box! You did a great job.
Thank you ❤️
Love that backdrop and love your channel!
Maybe check out a thrift store and buy a shower curtain? Or a sheet? But, what you did looks great.
I’ve found some removable wallpaper at JoAnns which I am buying one roll at a time so I can use a coupon each time. I like the idea of that lightweight board and would probably paper on both sides of the board for variety. Thanks for the idea...sorry for your struggle. ☺️
I didn’t even know removable wall paper was a thing! Cool
This is such a great idea! The background looks amazing in your photos as well. Another youtuber I watch who also depends on photos suggested looking on Amazon for the photographer backgrounds they have. They are amazing as well. Brushed by Brandi did a series on staging etc and I honestly never knew what really went into the furniture photos until I watched that. Thank you for sharing!! ♥️
Looks very nice. Enjoy watching your videos
Thank you!
Forward-leaning drive home with the child wedged in the back underneath the boards! 😂😜😂😜😂
Hahaha!!! It’s always an adventure
The photos look great Shannon, I’ve been photographing in front of my garage door 😩 and buyers don’t seem to care, but definitely could use something like that… I’ll need to see about those foam boards, I feel that you could probably create the actual chipped cement wall on drywall and have it permanently there 😍
Ahh! I would love to try and create a cracked cement look! 😍
Thank you so much for this idea! I was using faux brick sheets but they are heavy and I need someone to help me set up. I took your idea and used two foam boards and made it so I could fold them in half to store.
Awesome! ❤️
What if you taped the boards together, use a neutral color texture paint to paint the wall and hide the joint? Then stencil a pattern on the "wall". You could use a shade lighter or darker to create a tone on tone subtle background, or a completely contrasting color for a more dramatic background. But, I've noticed that eye catching backgrounds tend to detract from the piece being staged. 😏 I think you have an excellent idea, you just need to commit and attach the wallpaper to your board. If it peels then pull it off, flip the boards around and do the backside. 😁
Have you tried paneling? There are many different textures and sizes. You can lean it against a wall, put a rug in front. It's easy. Furnture Flipping Teacher uses it.
I haven’t tried paneling yet!
Put spray adhesive on it then stick it to it
You are so adorable
Awww ☺️
Should of just laid the foam board on the paper while it was laying down on the ground
You are so right 😅 haha I really do make my life complicated sometimes 😂😂
😍😍😍
Great job Shannon. The pictures look really nice. Can you post the link for the pampas.

Great ideas!
I think you should commit to wallpaper on the foam board - or do a DIY real cement wall on the foam board.
Would you be willing to share links to the foam board?
Thnx for sharing this!
It’s just the purple foam board at Home Depot 1 inches thick ❤️ www.homedepot.com/p/Owens-Corning-FOAMULAR-150-1-in-x-4-ft-x-8-ft-R-5-Scored-Square-Edge-Rigid-Foam-Board-Insulation-Sheathing-20WE/207179253

Hi! Love your channel. Thanks for all the inspiration. Have a question, why didn't you just painted the design that is on the wallpaper onto the boards? Seems like a simple design to paint and you could have saved $$?
Good thinking, I think I might end up doing that after all, stay tuned!
Get a thick expensive looking piece of baseboard and lean on the wallpaer so it looks like a real house.if that makes sense
That makes a ton of sense, great idea!!
Do you have the link to wallpaper
HAHAHA‼️👍🏼
Would these boards be weather proof
Not with wallpaper on them, no, but just the foam is
Make your dog lay down by your pieces for the animal lovers to buy $$
Good idea!! ❤️
