@@AlbinDavidN Update: I visited the Paterson Falls today and it was perfectly fine... there were park rangers and a youth corp and lots of tourists visiting. There is a self guided tour and a guided tour daily at 2pm. Another place to visit while there is the Paterson Museum... a few steps away on Spruce. I went there as well. As with any public space, be aware of your surroundings and avoid remote areas.
Hi Teresa, thanks for the great content! What areas could you recommend in N New Jersey that are not too far from midtown NYC and that are good for families? I’m considering a few tech jobs located in that area but my fam and I won’t be able to afford those NYC prices. Just trying to do some research, I would be relocating from Texas, thank you :-)
Hey, sorry for the late reply. Just got back fr a week long road trip to Charleston. There are so many great towns within bus or train from midtown. Reach out to me at toconnell@kw.com to schedule a call. Cheers!
Around here in northern New Jersey we call it what? I've lived in northern NJ for 53 years and we always called it mischief night (west of you). Fun fact on Patterson. The colt Patterson revolver was made there as well as the Holland submarine. If you visit the falls don't stray to far. Patterson is a high crime city
Thanks for commenting. I grew up being told cabbage night was because of the cabbage farms in Paramus. It is definitely a local term. I didn't know about the revolver and submarine. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Teresa, I'm Heeya who lives in Northern Jersey too! I was looking for new campgrounds near me and found your channel! Your channel is really helpful !! cuz I moved here from PA, still need to know many things about the state. Thanks !
Blue Laws have Zero Impact today with everyone ordering items online, there are so many things you can get delivered either next day (or even same day) if you really can't wait.
Thank you for the information. For those that work in retail, or for those who live in a town with tremendous retail, such as Paramus, they may argue that Blue Laws make a difference in quality of life.
I was born and raised in N.J. I have no idea about any blue laws. I never saw anything in regards to stores being closed on Sunday. Even bars are open on Sunday.
@@sjarrett68 Nice! If you were born after 1985, you would not have been affected by Blue Laws in your town. Bergen County towns were the only hold outs.

People from New Jersey tend to be straightforward. You'll find plenty of nice people in NJ ... and when the going gets rough, people within NJ and outside of NJ can count on us ... for example during 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy.

As a lifelong NJ resident I enjoyed your video but I can’t be believe that you mentioned NJ hot dogs but didn’t mention Rutt’s Hut and that you didn’t talk about Taylor Ham.

Ya Paterson waterfalls are nice as long as you stay within range of the car
They are beautiful. Great for a picnic in the warm months.
