  • It's something nobody ever talks about, but the forest industry has created access to most of the great skiing areas in the world. Without it, this sport would look very different.

Personally I like these episodes better than the ones where its just skiing cause I like how they tell more of a story

This channel has such a high production value! Anyone who's even remotely interested in skiing should subscribe.

I really enjoyed the fair representation of an industry that is often demonized by outdoor recreationalists. You explained well the commonality between the two and expressed a kind challenge to make forestry better for all of us. Well done!

This is one of my favorites episodes, isn't just about skiing.....lot to learn, how to take care of the land, for those ones, like me coming to the mountain once a year from a completely different environment it makes appreciate more and better this culture! Thank you so much and blessings!!! Mahalo.

Maybe it's different in Canada w/ crown land but in the US & it's crown land, oops I mean federal land. They sell the timber rights on that portion of land & NOT the land rights. If clear cut bothers you, that's why. Private forests generally DON'T clear cut as they own the land & need to maintain it. Want your collection of trees (as forest is just a concept) to last?
Then privatize the land & make the owners of the land liable for watershed destruction if it occurs.

Ski is good here but so is the the bullshit level ! I do respect the work done by foresters and loggers, but i ain't taking the crap about forest industries doing what they do in poeple'ss best interest. Money here, money there... Public ressources for sure.
    Nice vid tho.
