This MORB format is fine. Not a total dominant deck and 2 decks got boosted up and is fun to play against. Let's see what other decks get support to be boosted
I think this show’s making based support is way more exciting than new archetypes that make any pet deck unusable in just 1 month or so we will have affordable staples, decent meta, and good variety of playable decks
@@nabeelwantza5484they just need to tame down the 1 card combos, make the ceiling those decks weaker, and make decks less consistent. The consistency issue is tied to the hand trap spam without consequences
It’s always fun for ocg but not for tcg sadly like genuinely if only ocg banned maxx c I swear they will always be the most fun and better format forever
@@nabeelwantza5484 I mean, fun and fixed are two different things that everyone interprets differently. The game will never be fixed and there will always be people that love and hate certain metas but I think that a slightly stronger deck isn't necessarily bad. Looking ahead up until ALIN I don't see a tier 1 or 2 deck I have an issue with, which is something I personally haven't had since last year during Unchained/RAce Format.
Played against new-age Orcust on online sims a few times and I can confirm it is very, very strong. Feels like they have infinite plays. Even if you chew through their board you gotta hope you kill em right then and there bc the followup is stupid. Its not busted, but def puts it on par with the current meta
It's mostly because of how low to the floor the meta is right now. Most decks aren't trying to make crazy boards right now. Orcust being able to grind as well as they can is perfect for a meta like this.
Its surprising to see how much of a stranglehold dweller had on the ocg, rizeal fell off a cliff after its banning but well see if the ouroboros handloop brings rizeal back on top.
@Goku-zu3rk the new baby Galatea and the new orcust mekk-knight link. Now, if girsu get imperm/veiler, you can go into her, set a spell or trap, and still have a column for purple (worst case/going 1st). Plus, the new orcust mekk-knight link can be used for key, whispers, and secrets along with crescendo. Plus if babel is on the field while you have girsu in grave, you can special him from the grave or banished in a column a monster/spell/trap is in as a quick effect on opp turn. So you can have girsu negate a card, banish him with purple, get a search, then banished an orcust to ss the banished girsu to negate in a different column, or reborn on from grave. Before there was no way to ss girsu for negates with secrets unless you had the quick play..now you can just loop girsu for negates
Still think that orcust in tcg will be more mid range oriented, searching babel + crescendo + dingirsu setup in less than 5 summons and then making enlilgirsu if no nib. Playing with sky striker engine still seems better than heavy handtrap decklist in that context...
with the gameplay loop the game is going towards seems like the dragon ruler will be actually a good deck. also while i understand the technology of lab discarding the the bricks in the deck what do you actually gain from playing them together.
@@lycidaes4752 but in the end we all know the ocg will play it and then it comes to us and we realize that the tcg banned maxx c 1 million years ago so they get moved to tier 2. i would hope for it to be a real deck as i love the dragonmaid playstile of this glad beast like tag in and out card advantage machine

As much as i love Orcust, its hard to get excited by the new support because we have no idea when it will come out in tcg. If it takes ages to get imported it wont be playable anymore due to powercreep.
I think Dangers will be an okay engine to run as well. Phantom Knights and their Link 3 sets up two negates and a pop, plus Ding, alongside any other hand traps you want to run.
Lol Josh's double standard is funny. Orcust makes long ass spreadsheet 1-card combo, end on huge board with bunch of monsters, including multiple negates -> looks cool, dope and fun playstyle Maliss ends on just 1 monster and a trap, have 1 s/t negate at most and every disruptions are pop, banish or bounce, super grindy and interactive -> cyberse bad, cringe combo heavy deck, make board like Yubel blah blah, all because of cyberse prejudice
Fucking hilarious that u compare maliss a toxic shifter based deck that gives u little counter play unless u throw lancea. Is it hard ? Yes . Is it fair ? No, fire king snake eyes wasnt easy to pilot either so wasnt infernoble or madanium. Are those decks fair ? No they make insane boards. And maliss end boards is a really sticky mess of some of the best interruptions in the game. With a insane grind game. U can legit not make a argument that maliss is „cool“ bc in the end its just a cybers deck
@@sadowbeats7081malice used to be cool. But then they made that recent cyberse support. Now it's ruined. Lol. Can't stand generic cyberse support. Most annoying things ever. SS a billion times through interruptions. Greaaaat~
@@zekiel2533 Maliss already does that without ALIN support. Like having traps as part of your combo is kind of new, but in the end the deck's build-a-board strategy is extremely similar to how SE plays. Yes, the boards are weaker, but 1 Rabbit gets you to a LOT of stuff that are also layered. If you hand trap them, and they have a way to extend, they'll end on the same board with you hand-looping yourself once. Maliss is just another deck that lacks a true choke point like Duodrive or Branded Fusion. It is just what it is, but Josh definitely has standard issues when it comes to different one-card-combo decks.
the obsession with snake-eyes man.. decks will be playing 30 handtraps and you'll still be saying it's a board breaking meta and anything about snake-eyes
SE fell waay off and it wasn't that broken. It was all the generic ED stuff they could do cuz Konami decided not to lock it into something. @vampireguy92 its not a neg 2. Ash search poplar which summons itself and gets a search So that's +2 already. Send both for flamberge so you're +1. Poplar gets a card in the ST zone. So ash on its own is a +1 and a half.
@prodmoira I mean, it can be. It does get you a card that extends pretty well. Ultimately 1 handtrap can shut down snah pretty hard. I just wish they locked you into fires from the ED after using flamberg gy effect
@@vampireguy92 it would've still been good but I agree it would've done a good job of limiting their ceiling and not making it as splashable as it is. Even now you can still run a small 4-6 card snakeye engine and it isn't broken or anything but it can just get you some interaction or extension in some cases
Tbf having near 20 spaces or more for non-engine is a new norm and indicated the change in playerbase's current deck building philosophy, as much as I dislike it
That's just one combo shown with 1 card. In yugioh you start with 5 so any other extenders or non engine boosts that board considerably. Yugioh is in a state now where decks play a lot lower to the ground and aren't trying to make unbreakable boards with a million negates. So a low to the floor combo deck that can play a ton if non engine and is incredibly resilient in a grind game is perfect for a meta like this. No one's claiming it's broken or even the best deck but it's not nearly as bad as you're making it seem
14:17 YES PLEASE I appreciate ROTK and all they do, but I wish they went a little step further and either put the corresponding links to the deck or labeled the links below with a note to say what lists they show. As it is, I have to click every single link to find a specific list I want to check out, sometimes even scroll through a whole thread/forum. I get that the links are sorted by event rather than deck, and usually one link contains multiple lists that topped said event, but I feel like most viewers of the site are more interested in seeing a decklist than they are the specific placements, or at least prioritize it. I know people roll their eyes at DM support but honestly, a DM or GX deck should probably always have it's place in the meta for the health of the game. This is just how every card game works.
