How to remove 1999-2002 Toyota 4Runner Center Console on 2WD Models.

This is the process of removing the center console on your 3rd gen 4runner years 99 to 02 for 2WD models. The 96 to 98 had a different center console style.

Very nicely done. I started in on my own to remove all this stuff so I can replace my shifter bushings - and I thought to myself, Man, this is gonna be a hassle - it's gonna take me all afternoon. It's easy if it's the non-fake wood grain trim if it's the fake wood trim, it's shatters easily when removing it

It's the fake wood trim on the limited models. The center console is grey because that's a replacement part I got from a part out 4Runner.
