I see all of you saying their covers are always better, but y’all gotta think, the only reason they can do this is because of the huge amount of respect that OLN holds for the artists and the original songs. That’s what make their covers stand out, that level of respect that they hold.
I disagree. They do have respect for the original artists, but that's not what makes their covers so great or what makes people want to listen to those covers. Music is music. It all has the same base. that base gets adapted and styled into a genre. When I listen to songs, even artists I severely dislike and styles I hate, I can hear in the back of my head how it might sound in a different genre. What makes their covers so amazing is that they can translate that concept into reality and do so with phenomenal talent. They take the perfect amount of artistic license, re-styling a song to their genre without turning it into a different song entirely.
