I love OLN and I love beautiful music, but this is not better than the original. The only cover I dont think is better by them. It’s a soulful song and I just don’t get that feeling with this cover.

Probably cause they auto tune it so they all sound somewhat similar... Telle is the only good vocalist here and they managed to fuck his voice up too... if you watch the cover they did with Tillian Pearson of DGD... Tillian blows everybody else out of the water.

Anthony Gaffey It’s more aggressive and has more feeling literally because there is driving bass, distorted guitar, smashing drums and even a very deep level of vocal layering and harmonizing. The original is extremely stripped compared to this. So yes, the energy behind the music and instrumentals in this version spoke more to the angry emotions she was feeling. Do you even write music or have an understand on feeling in music? Or do you specifically only pay attention to the vocal performance? Because your only argument to this version not being more aggressive was based off of Trevor’s performance? People will feel what they want to feel when it comes to music. You sir are the one who’s wrong and you need to humble your self. Music lets us feel and that’s all that matters.

There are a multitude of important elements when recording a cover song, especially when it is a song which is known and adored by so many people. Two of the most important elements are acknowledging the original while not replicating the original, both of which you have done. Furthermore, this is a next level version of this song which with all due respect DEFINITELY rivals the original. Well Done!
