I make a mobile kitchen island from Pacific island Kauri , this is part of a whole kitchen build i have just done, but is quite different from the built in units.
Always a joy to watch someone use actual joinery as opposed to using pocket hole screws for every conceivable joint on a project. Thank you for sharing. Looking at a scaled down size of this as a mobile kitchen cart. thanks for posting.
Hi Joey really nice job, even tho iv been joiner since I was a kid and am in my mid 60s now it's nice to see someone using fine work tools on fiddly work. I repair old oak framed building for a living and the finest work I get too do is with a 50mm chisel n mallet. Great video thanks for sharing 🇬🇧👍
This has been my favorite furniture building channel since you started. Always jumped to the video when I get alert for you. Then I see the live to skate tattoo and had that aha moment. Skaters gotta stick together👍
This is Exactly what I want to build for my kitchen! Those dowels in the bench to stop the work piece from moving while using that planar is brilliant!
Joey, another well crafted and beautiful piece of furniture! I always look forward to watching you create, always something to learn and appreciate. Thank you for posting!
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Nasir Emmanuel I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I was looking for some ideas on making a kitchen island and came across your video, I got so involved watching you, it is something else to watch a professional at work. You made it look so easy!
When I see a new vid you’ve published, I’m always anticipating a new tip, technique or process. Never disappointed! Thanks for your effort on our account Joey!
Joey you seem like a good person buddy. Love that you have so many subscribers and you still introduce yourself in the beginning for the newcomers. Your work is top notch. Keep posting!
I agree with the guys below. I like your approach on building furniture: trying to make beautiful stuff by hand, but time is money so sometimes it's wiser (more economical) to refer to simple screwing things together. I also like how you deal with mistakes. Not trying to hide them, but showing how one can fix them. I always like to say: there are no mistakes, only challenges. Keep it up and don't worry about the length of your videos. The longer they are, the more we can learn from them!!
Absolutely brilliant....Loved every minute....the only thing I would change though would be to dress the bottom with a matching timber skirt to hide the castors. Amazing video !!
Great work as expected. Really like to see your work and how you do things. Also the fact that you make a mistake and show it to is awesome because no one is perfect and makes everything perfect all the time.
Nice tools you have been working at your shop for a long time! Great job I'm working on mine too! Getting there I love my tools and I learn a lot from youtube thanks for sharing love your work. Purple heart for your vice great idea can't get any stronger than that!
It is good to see how easily you move between machines and hand tools. That beast looks heavy! Your quick and dirty jig for dominoing the ends of the slats looked a lot easier to use than the flimsy jig you get with the Domino! Good stuff, Cheers, David.
Joey, you always live up to my expectations. Great work. Keep it up. Some day, maybe, you'll give us a tour/completion video of your home that you've shown bits of so far.
Humans makes mistake all the time but someone who is not afraid to admit his mistakes is a brave man. Love to see your work & have always enjoy watching your video. Keep up the good work Joey. Greetings from Malaysia.
Incredible job Joey looks awesome I like the extra details like the sliding dovetails (sweet plane) and the dovetailed top supports and I’ve seen you use it before but what a awesome way to secure the top down with a domino mortise.
I always enjoy your videos Joey. First class! I think when I signed up you had about 350 subscribers. And that wasn't that long ago. "You've done well Pilgrim".
Awesome video as always Joey. I heard in the podcast that you used undermount runners for the first time. I always use the Quadro runners from a brand called Hettich. They're incredible, lots of adjustment possibilities in every direction. You can even tilt the drawers. I'm not sure if they're available in NZ. I see on their website that they are available in Australia. You might want to take a look at them if you're liking the undermount runners.
Nice video. Congratulation to the 100 thousand subscribers. The kitchen island looks very nice. Wow, your planer makes super thin chips. I'm also about to revise my metal planer (planer sand plane, sharpen the planer, etc.)

This is so nice! Wish I had the room for this in my apartment so I had an excuse to build it. Great video!
It is good to see how easily you move between machines and hand tools. That beast looks heavy! Your quick and dirty jig for dominoing the ends of the slats looked a lot easier to use than the flimsy jig you get with the Domino! Good stuff, Cheers, David.
Hanging the drawer handle hole jig with the large washers is very clever. I always come away from watching your videos with a great trick.
