To any wales fans wondering why england fans are pleased its 2016. Fans can say what they want but your players were classless and you didnt disavow it you owned it. Now you own this too. Sorry but no england fan supports wales anymore. I was pleased they qualified for 2016 only to be rewarded for backing another home nation with unnecessary disrespect not by fans but by players. So long as a single player from that team still pulls on that shirt they deserve this.
that Poland and Wales match is a great example of why the Euros did not need to be expanded. a bunch of mid sides diluting the quality of the tournament.
I have to agree I've always thought 16 made the tournament elite and very competitive. 24 teams is an awful format in my opinion. 3rd place should never be able to win a tournament..

We've had a good track record of getting far in tournaments recently, even if we don't win anything, Wales not qualifying is too good, and getting to watch Scotland bomb out last place in their group is going to make it a great watch for me. 😁

It's nowhere near as popular over there, thats why. Population does count to an extent. Iceland show how good you can be with limited resources though.

I remember back in the 80's, when just 8 teams qualified for the Euro's.
I can absolutely guarantee that England will qualify for absolutely every Euro and World Cup Tournament for the rest of my life but whether we will win anything is doubtful

I'm a Canadian, and I find the musical mock-fest in this segment incredibly disrespectful to the Welsh, given the gravity of the situation, the loss in penalties, the disqualification from the Euros, and that a Welsh TalkSport colleague, Dean Saunders, was reporting live, on-air, after the match. (Yes, Jason Cundy is an entertaining presenter, but this was a step too far, imv).
As a Canadian then, you probably have no idea how the Welsh behave anytime England are out of a tournament or lose. They seriously deserve every bit 😂
